I think they had Famke Janssen (Miss Elizabeth Burke) say the line "...you could've made up your finals last summer and you wouldn't have had to repeat your senior year" to Josh Harnett's character (Zeke) so it would make him a little older (18/19) - although teacher/student relationships are still icky.
Hey guys. If yall don't mind me helping yall out a little bit on some of the actors in this film. The afro guy always asking Zeke for more of the drug he makes is Danny Masterson, who plays Hyde in "That 70s Show", Clea Duvall who plays Stokley, is also in a later 2000s film with John Cusack "Identity", I'm sure yall recognized Robert Patrick, who plays the coach, is in a ton of other movies but famously known for playing T-1000 in Termintor 2: Judgement Day, of course John Stewart who has his own night show but is in alot of Adam Sandler films, Jordana Brewster who plays Mia in the world-wide Fast And Furoius franchise, Elijah Wood as we all know Frodo from the LOTR franchise, Salma Hayek who is in alot of other films, Usher, 2ho we know as a musician, Famke Jansen, who is in alot but famously plays Lenore in the Taken series and plays Jean Grey in X-Men series and Josh Hartnett who we all know from many other things as well but just recently made a comeback in theatrical films starring in M. Night Shyamalan's Trap that just recently released.
Ok, I haven't seen this in a while, but I used to be one of my favorites, and she does talk about her world, a world of vast oceans. I got the impression of a water world
Amigos! ¿Cómo están?☺️☺️☺️ This is a cult classic! I just rewatched Clea Duvall in the Ghosts of Mars...awesome,underrated scary flick! She is in a few scary films now that I think of it! Love your spooktacular intro and how you tweak it for the season.🎃👻☺️
What up my bestie out Westie?? Thank you! I hadn’t even heard of Ghost of Mars, so thanks for putting it on my radar! FYI, like the idiot that I am, I accidentally erased my external hard drive 😭 Thankfully I had saved the intro directly on my machine.
@@DavidvsFilm Yikes on the external hard drive! Yeah Ghosts of Mars, has Ice Cube,Jason Stathem and a few more famous actors you'd never think to put together. Hope you guys have a great Halloween, I can't believe how quickly the seasons pass by! I'm still wanting to celebrate the 4th of July!😜
Omg - I always say the same thing! It would be so arrogant to think we are alone in the universe! And… if they have a tenth of our tech - they have seen our news broadcasts and movies and are steering well clear of the third rock from the sun. 😂 great reaction as always! Happy Halloween!
I like that book a lot and there definitely may have been some inspiration here. Feel like you couldn't really do a straight adaptation of it these days... That opening scene might hit a little too close to home in the school shooting era for people to enjoy seeing it in a monster movie.
Watching this as a pre-teen when it came out back in 1998 and even to this day, dammit, BeBe Neuwirth as Principle Drake had uncharted sex appeal...the poise. *swoon* 😍♥🤦🏾♀ I still remember seeing the trailer for the movie and it being so 🔥🔥 that I just KNEW I had to see it, and it did not disappoint. This movie is, indeed, a classic. 💁🏾♀💁🏾♀
Fun reaction! I've missed you & Marc doing movies together. Never seen this one, tho I had heard something about aliens or a cult regarding the plot. Thanks for the laughs. David, off topic, what brand tumbler are you using for your "peah tea"? I'm looking for a new one for my "coffee" lol.
Happy Movie Saturday, David and Marc! 🎃👻 This is a movie that I haven't seen in at least a couple of years. And I had forgotten most of it until I started watching this reaction. Then I started to remember parts of it. I had forgotten that Josh Hartnett was in it, but I did remember that Elijah Wood was in it. For more Josh Hartnett, I very highly recommend the 2001 "Pearl Harbor"(love that movie). And his newest movie "Trap" from this year. Looking forward to the next reaction. 😊
Fun 90s film. Good memories of going to the movies with friends in the college days. I know a lot of the movies are done by poll, but the Craft is another 90s film that fits Halloween.
This movie has a great cast and a banging soundtrack. They did try to make Famke Janssen and Jordana Brewster look dowdy and unattractive by putting spectactles on them (a common trope), but they didn't succeed! "Just like Starbucks" 🤣
hahaha well with Famke it was a little better of a transformation, but Jordana Brewster was like Jan Brady with the black wig. We know it's you, Jordana lol
I love this movie. Kevin Williamson will also be the best script writer in our time with 'Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Cursed, Teaching Mrs. Tingle.' I still love his other work like Dawson's Creek and of course my all time favorite show 'The Vampire Diaries'.
Yes!!! Could not agree more. Dawson’s Creek was my main guilty pleasure show, and the first one I ever watched week-to-week THEN in binge fashion. So good!
Oh really?? I didn’t know that! Ok, so pack a small bag, because we’re about to go out on a tangent.. This addresses something that I noticed but didn’t mention in the reaction: It looked to me like Tweaker #2 was Wiley Wiggins, an actor I don’t see much of but recognize from one of my favorite movies, Dazed and Confused. Like the writer/director of that movie, Wiley is also from Austin TX, where D&C was filmed. Plus, Elijah Woods’s mom in this played the mayor on the tv show Friday Night Lights, also filmed in Austin. So anyway, long story short (too late), you have given me resolution on my unasked question of a Texas connection. Thanks!!
@@DavidvsFilm i can't take the credit I was reading the Wikipedia while watching your video lol. According to the page it was filmed in Austin, San Marcos, Dallas and Lockhart
Okay i was only gonna leave that one comment i just did but just came across a pretty good laugh and cant ignore it (in a positive way). Watching Joshs character Zeke drive up to that police barracade then says "Fuck It" and turns a hard right and speeds off then all of a sudden we hear "Really? Right In Front Of The Cops". Made me almost choke on my dinner laughing cause a thought ran through my mind right after you said that "Did Yall Forget There Was an Alien Invasion hapoening and they got to the whole town including the PD so thats why they had that Barracade up to make sure no one could leave the town before they could do their thing and continue spreading it? " 😂😂 Much love guys Always enjoying your reactions.
Hahahaha right?? Yeah, something similar happened recently when we were watching Game of Thrones where two characters flew in on dragons, dropped to ground, and sat in front of a waterfall that had frozen solid. And Marc said, "How does a waterfall freeze solid like that?? It doesn't look that cold there." And I told him, "You just saw two people fly in ON DRAGONS, but the frozen waterfall is where they lost you??"
Thank you!! I love these kind of movies! And honestly some of the shows too that came out around this time. I missed a lot of the movies, but I watched a lot of tv.

I was an extra in this, Elijah Wood was really friendly.
Whenever I've seen him interviewed, he comes across as a nice guy.
whaaaaat!! that's awesome!
Oh my God, I've never heard a better description for Clea Duvall's 90s vibe than "a cross between Ally Sheedy and Molly Ringwald"... That's amazing.
Haha thanks. I’ve seen her before, but it just kinda hit me when she popped up on the screen in this role.

Ohhhh!!! Ok gotcha. So that’s a decent idea, but yeah, I agree that I don’t think that will her before Judge Judy’s court of public opinion!
Icky and downright illegal in many places. It's too open to exploitation.
