    The FF boys really have a long way to go on safety and response at these events.

    Man that sucks. Gotta know what’s burning and what extinguishers to properly use.

      @freedomfox8183 9 місяців тому

      They did know has nothing to do with it here . when it's completely engulfed and fuel is all over everything it's got to burn out sometimes.. what's real scary is if you ever seen an electric car fire it's a lot scarier than that and nobody's equipped to handle that and the typical situation it presents.. I've seen fire departments struggle to put out an RC car battery for 10 min... Come to find out a little bit of salt water would have put it out ..

      Agreed. The dude with the hose hitting it from the front underneath made it worse. I hope he's not on a interior attack team. Fire suppression definitely looked poor for a trained eye on this one.

    Foam was hopelessly ineffective. Powder for the win!

    • @nickmaclachlan5178
      @nickmaclachlan5178 9 місяців тому +1

      Powder is not very good for fighting a fuel fire that is "mobile". Powder works by covering the fuel and snuffing the oxygen supply. If the fuel is moving or flowing, then the powder layer gets disturbed and the fire relights. Foam is the best method for this kind of fire, but it needs to be applied correctly. If they had covered the fire underneath the engine first they may have got it out quicker.

    • @CarsCatAliens
      @CarsCatAliens 9 місяців тому +2

      The extinguishers are high volume. For foam to be effective, even in lower percentages of foam to water like a lot of FD s are doing with dwellings, you need volume .. Pump.truck, decent foam nozzle.. That little.hose and nozzle on an extinguisher isnt effective against that much fire...

    What happened to the guys that were out there the last couple of times they have had these events? I saw the trucks there today but they weren't on the track this time. They were Johnny on the spot within seconds and had the fires out before anything got that bad. Those crews had their stuff together.
    These guys in the orange look like they have no idea whats going on and there were only 2 of them. Not to mention they couldn't even get their equipment started. I'd go back to the other safety crew if I was Cleet.

    • @miked471

      The teams in the past events have been way better. Look at older videos from their events. They were on every corner and in full fire gear. This looks like a different company with very minimal training or equipment. Don't know if Cleet tried to cut costs or what happened.

    • @miked471
      @miked471 9 місяців тому

      Here is a video from a past event showing the staff I was talking about. They have M.C.S.A.R on their fire gear. You can't look at any angle throughout the event and not see one of them in full gear right by the wall. At the end around the 24 minute mark when JH's truck catches on fire, they are right there and kept it in check. You can also see the guys in orange slowly walking up after like 8 of the M.C.S.A.R people are already there. Looks like Cleet needs to go back to having them out......
