Awesome Video and a beautiful yote the mange is trully unfortunate! But I will say I am fairly new to this channel but I’m hooked! I do a little trapping in central Illinois but nothing like this. My grandfather showed me how to trap small game when i was young but unfortunately he is gone and so I’m left with only what I remember him teaching me. And I do okay every year with some fur. But now I have this and a lot of your sets are very similar to how my granddad taught me! So I’m hooked and definitely going to be putting some of this to use around me. I appreciate the fun, friendly, and knowledgeable content. Keep up the good work. And god bless you and your family!

Great video me and our family had a den of Yotes right behind our house and their was a black coyote in the pack and the trappers down the road got to him before we did it was an absolutely beautiful dog

Great catches had a fox in the yard when I got back from checking traps tonight but he gave me the slip before I could get a bead on him keep up the great videos don’t let the anti get you down you got my support
I've been able to pickup a many of critter's just like that, with the cable/trap chain pulled right tight, but of all varmint's a damned possum eat my ass up one evening and to beat it all I had my two boy's with me I was going to "Teach" them how to handle a critter the right way.....

Get the hagz brackets. Hagz bracket for 1-1/2 cs are AWESOME! I also have them for my 110s and up to 160s. I use them for muskrat, raccoon, and mink trapping. They are the best thing ever.
Good catch TJ that decoy cracked me up snow tells what happens lol to bad on the mange yote but it’s good to get em out of population trapping plays a big part in the balance of nature

Another great vid brother! I've been sharing your vids on some fb trappers groups they've been getting a ton of likes and comments. Like in the hundreds! I hope that's translating to more views and subs for ya! I always make sure to say "Trapper J with another great vid! Go sub to him and show the youtube censors that we trappers support each other!" Anyway thnx for another video! I love that color phase yote so much! Its beautiful! I've really enjoyed living vicariously through your trapping vids while my knee is all buggered up. Supposed to get some injections that should help with pain, and a custom knee brace so I may even be able to run a small water line in the spring!

Good thing we have coyotes or there wouldn't be any quail,rabbits, or squirrels they do help keep the stray cats in check.

Man those coyotes is bad around here and will come right in your yard and kill your house dogs, almost did mine. I just caught it in time but it still caused my dog a WHOLE lot of stitches!!!

Ok, Im new trapping, I just started about a month ago and I have a stupid question I have searched online and trapping forums and I cant find an answer so I figured I would ask it here. What are trapping people talking about when they say "scratch off"? I have heard it in a few different youtube videos and seen it on videos but what does it mean?

Even with the mange, I would have made that last yote into a pelt for the wall.

Finally was able to finish watching. Great video! I put out some dog sets and had NO dry dirt to use. Dang freezing weather. Clearly need some hellfire on my line. It's been a no dog night on the Shiawasee River!

Where did you get your trapping hammer or did you build it?
