Hi Melissa, can u pls give me some of ur wisdom on this routine I’m planning * Am: 1. Wash 2. The ordinary alpha arbutin 3. The ordinary Niacinamide 4. Moisturizer 5. Sunscreen * PM: 1. Wash 2. The ordinary alpha arbutin 3. vitamin c 4. Moisturizer Cycling: Days (mon - wed- fri): add glycolic acid Days(tues-thrs-sat): add azelaic acid And Sunday is a break What do u think of this routine and if there is anything I should add?
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet thank u for the reply 💓 I have another question ☺️, can I use the ordinary suspension 23% + HA spheres 2% as the vitamin c? And can I use the azelaic acid on both the am and pm routines?
It is not a good Vitamin C formulation to use in the morning, as it sits on the skin's surface and may cause issues. Best to use a water-based formulation that absorbs quickly. The Vitamin C suspensions are best to use in the evening. For Azelaic Acid is does not matter.
hi! i recently just finished my old routine which is: AM - cleanser - niacinamide - hyaluronic - ascorbyl glucoside - spf PM - cleanser - niacinamide - hyaluronic - mandelic - moisturizer which i saw the video from u yrs back and i want to start with my anti aging phase and i wasnt sure what to use first. what i ordered: - hyaluronic - niacinamide - glycolic - ascorbic + alpha arbutin - retinol 1% hoping u could suggest me a routine for the products mentioned
Well, you could check out the following video and learn how to do it yourself 🙂 The Ordinary For Beginners: ua-cam.com/video/diaLVk_EsI4/v-deo.html And if you like, you can put it underneath to have a look.
Hi Melissa, thank you for your videos and for educating us on the use of skincare. Really appreciate it! May I ask for some guidance, please? 🥺 I bought Ordinary's Niacinamide, Alpha Arbutin, Glycolic Acid and Buffet+Copper Peptides. I also have Vitamin C and retinol serum. Any suggestion on the AM and PM routine by using the above-mentioned products I have? I did some research but was over flooded with information. Afraid I'm gonna mess up my face. Thank you so much Melissa 🥺🙏
Hello can u please please suggest me products. My skin is acne prone like sometimes I have big ones or small small ones depending upon hormonal changes or stress. I just want acne free, spot clear, reduce pigmentation and minimise all these pores. Rn only using plump vitamin c serum. I've been thinking of using ordinary products like glycolic acid exofoliator then alpha arbutin and niacinamide in pm routine. Will these products solve my concern??? Or what products will you recommend?
Hey! :) Have a look at the videos below: The Ordinary Skincare Routine for Oily Acne Prone Skin: ua-cam.com/video/BoLMjpkcDSw/v-deo.html or How to use Panoxyl Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser and Differin Gel for Acne-Prone Skin: ua-cam.com/video/nu1Wo9O_6e0/v-deo.html
Hello Melissa, I’m here for your suggestion. Currently I have included Retinol (cereve resurfacing retinol serum) in my skin care routine. I use it after ordinary Niacinamide serum. And after that at the end I use laboratory babe moisturiser. Which was given by my dermatologist for my acne. It also contains Niacinamide(small amount) I wanted to know am I doing it in a right order?? Please enlighten me with your advice.
Hello Jesika That's a weird name for a moisturizer; it almost sounds like a scam 😅 But you may not need the additional Niacinamide serum in your routine. But since there is no research available on how adequate a higher %/amount will be, you basically have to experiment to see what is working best for you 🙂 The order would be: Clean face use Niacinamide apply retinol apply moisturizer
Hello Melissa, Sorry for the long comment. How are you? I'm here with another query. As I'm using ordinary Niacinamide + cereve resurfacing retinol+ Moisturizer at night. I wanted to switch my moisturizer to la Roche-posey cicaplast as moisturizer. Can I to it?? I have some acne marks on my cheeks and some redness on my smile line. And I have another question for my Mom. She is facing melasma problem for many years. Can you suggest anything for her? She currently uses Ordinary Alpha arbutin and nitrogena sunscreen. Your suggestion would be a great help.
@@SumaiyaJuthy Hey again! :) I don't understand why everyone with acne-prone skin wants to use LRP Cicaplast Baume...I mean, it's such a rich cream...I wouldn't recommend using it as it may make your situation worse. Instead, I recommend choosing a light moisturizer or gel, like La Roche Posay Toleriane Fluid, Neutrogena Hydro Boost, Simple Moisturizer, or The Ordinary moisturizer. Those are just a few examples to mention. For how long has your mom been using Alpha Arbutin and sunscreen? How's it going so far? Has she ever been to a dermatologist? - if so, what did she try, and for how long?

The more acne treatments you use together, the more dryness and irritation can occur.
