- "When you feel unseen, especially by the people whose attention and approval you crave the most, it can create a compulsion in your life to start doing things that are not even really consistent with your character.” In this message, Pastor Steven Furtick will help you learn how to find acceptance and approval in Christ rather than allowing others to control you. Because, unfortunately, this kind of approval from others can be taken away just as easily as it is given, leaving us feeling empty and invisible.
We need a way to get out of this unhealthy cycle and invest our best energy in better ways. The good news is, in the Kingdom of God what is unseen is often most significant. Some of the most important things we will ever do in our life will not be noticed by others, but they are always seen by God. In this message, Pastor Steven uses Matthew 6 verse 4 to show us that, "Your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.”
It is okay that you need to feel appreciated, celebrated, and loved, but you need to use your greatest energy to find these things in God because you can’t let others control you.

When i first started watching steven furtick a year ago, i watched the sermon about "Gods already working out what you're worried about" every since then God has used pastor steven continuously to speak straight to me! The annointing on him is so amazing! Pastor Steven i just want you to know 7 months ago i was a worthless addict an awful mother and wife and completely hopeless but God pulled me out of the grave and used you in a big way to help me out! Now my husband and I have been delivered from addiction we are on our way to getting our children back In a month and we are consumed with Jesus. Please, never stop or slow down!!! God is using u in people's lives that you don't know from Adam. People from states... Even contries away! Im so grateful for your obedience!

So happy I decided to open up today’s sermon and take a look at it before I started my day off. I been feeling really unappreciated by my the people that I wanted to impress. I Been depressed and weren’t happy with my situation lately because I felt unseen by the people I love but today, God is good! He let me know that I’m seen and by the most powerful father! And I’m happy and I’ll keep doing what I do, not for others but for him to see. Amen

@Fransz Broker I understand where you are coming from. Still, I will remind you of Isaiah 55:11 that says, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
When I listened to this message that day, I was reminded that when I was "abandoned" (that word can describe several circumstances) by my adoptive parents at a very young age, that the Lord God Himself stepped in and watched over me. I could see the Hand of God...and the love of Jesus intertwined in my childhood and how He saved me from a worse fate. The above message brought me even closer in my relationship with Jesus Christ and Our Heavenly Father. He is the Father of the fatherless.

i’ve been going through depression and sadness lately and it keeps me up all night. i mostly wonder why am i like this and when i watched this video, i came to realise that i’ve been living my whole life trying to get people appreciate me and celebrate me. i’ve been living this life trying so hard for them to see me. when someone up there is watching me and rewarding me. thank you for this,Pastor!

I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real, it's impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me; it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!

It's two years after this came out and God is GREAT about giving you what you need at the time you need it most. I shared this with my 14 year old son who is currently doing things so out of character just to fit in and that has Gotten him in a lot of trouble. This word touched him deeply and I watched the pain come and go over his face once he realized that we already have the victory. So to my son it's NEVER to late no matter what you have done, what people say, or what the world may try to make you feel, just remember God as well as your mom and I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH.

Two years later and this is still just as good!
Ever since I discovered Element church and Pastor steven and holly furtick I cannot go a day without hearing him preach. It goes along with my prayers in the morning and night and all day long. I attend New Hope Central Oahu in wahiawa Hawaii. But I also attend elevation church. When i need a lift or just need to specificly hear a msg i pray and give it to god and then search up a sermon from pastor steven. God is so amazing. He know what i need to hear when i need to and he always direct me to pastor. Thank you so much for what you all have done and are doing in my life with all the shorts and regular sermons. FYI the sermon about "whats hurting your relationship" saved our marriage!!!!! My husband said he heard me watching it the night before. He asked can we watch it again together if you dot mind. Praise god. It would take me much time to tell our testimony, but know that so much has changed and we both god baptized and life has never been so amazing and beautiful walking with the lord together and his will. I've spent a long time looking for gratitude in the compliments of others, to the point where i've compromised on my ideals just to fit in, to feel like i matter. I cant rlly explain how much i needed to hear this sermon, especially because i've been trying to step away from that old thought process. I've come to realise that if you seek gratitfication in the conpliments of others, you'll never actually be happy as you're contradicting you own beliefs and morals for the attention of someone who probably doesnt rlly even care in the first place.

Pastor Furtick, you have been a blessing to me in this season of my life. I don’t know you personally, but I value you.
Nobody else may have saw your good deeds, advice, biting your tongue, or just keeping your thoughts to yourself. But your Heavenly Father saw it all, even when all you have or had has been taken away by thieves. So continue to have faith & believe that GOD IS IN CONTROL. Continue to bless your adversaries, family & friends. Lord have mercy & show my thankfulness to my caretaker today & every day. Your still in control in Jesus name we pray. Amen!
