I took and saw a train go down the middle of the road in Tampa on Tuesday 2-25-14 at 6:45pm. It took and had an engine, boxcar and 9 tank cars. It was cool seeing it in the middle of the city down the road. I took and filmed it.
@EdRingwald I love train yards, something about being around these thousand pound piles of machinery is really humbling, I feel the same about school bus graveyards.
The spur north of the Neve Wye gets some good use. There are several industries right around where that spur ends just north of Hillsborough Avenue including a Conrad Yelvington plant nearby. The section of the A Line west of Tampa Union Station where it transitions into an industrial spur all the way to Port Tampa (the small port south of the Gandy Bridge) sees a few trains a day too.
All that horn blowing for loco and a tank car...HA! Pretty good video. My wife and I went 1st class on Amtrak, Tampa to NYC and back, was the best trip EVER! The only bad part was the Tampa-Lakeland track was horrible, thought we were going to derail more than a few times and I'm a former freight train conductor (Soo Line) I'm used to rough track, but that stretch out of Tampa was ridiculous! Wonder if CSX fixed it yet. Oh, and when the trip ended, that was the other bad part :-(
@atsf3780 Unfortunately there are no public places in Tampa to get a view of the Uceta yards. However, I got to see the yards on a return Amtrak trip from Winter Haven not too long ago while on the train.
I very much applaud British and American rail fans. The Japanese and French have the best railroads, but there's nothing better than British or American diesel!!!
@EdRingwald I got a Florida Norhern Branch That runs To the Progress Energy Power Plant. CSX through power with the coal trains and a couple local from Florida Northern

Love the sound of the crossing bells!
Nice video. I've always enjoyed seeing trains. Perhaps that makes me a "railfan", too. :)
I was there just 3 days ago and caught the Amtrak coming and going. While I was there In Yber City I saw about 7 chickens downtown on the tracks!
Apparently chickens on the railroad tracks in Ybor City is not uncommon. I have family that lives down in Florida despite living in Maine.
About a week ago I caught a CSX freight backing down the spur just south east of the Amtrak station.

You can tell where 21st street is because you can hear the bells all the way from 20th street.
That CSX loco is LOUD! Got to be! YBOR is full of drunks and the train must be heard! 🤣👌🏾
A tripod would make this soooooo much better.

Awesome Video!
1:50 that grumble sounded like someone was trying to take a poo

Great video of crossing signals!
I like this
Really cool! Thank you!
I love the older bell sound compared to the fake sounding ones that are being used most of the time !!!!
Same here!
Bring back the mechanical bells. The Electronic bells don't sound like true railroad crossings but mechanical bells do.
Nice video.
nice video
