I remember have the red and white high speed train set ( 7745 ) it was an amazing set, Lego to me is the best toy money can buy, I'm a 80's child and every Christmas I use to receive a new lego set to add to my collection. I still play lego now with my daughter who is also a big fan, You just cant go wrong with it!!!
Roy Vermeulen must've been too much to produce. Can't see them ever manufacturing these sorts of train sets ever again. Holby train sets cost as much as a real train!
Hey i just found something out lego keep dropping down the ranks with the trains, 12 volt was 1st place then 9v came in and made 3rd-2nd place and then the RC trains 10th place i'd say why did LEGO take away the best train RIP 12v

Brings back good memories. Do not know why Lego stopped with the electric tracks / trains. All goes on batteries now days.
