Princecraft has made deckboats for 20+ years. My dealer used to sell tons of them along with their fishing boats. He dropped them when they opted to focus on profit over quality. He's since become a platinum level dealer for Sea Doo and Starcraft.
I originally wanted a pontoon boat, but we have a very low railroad bridge that separates Big Lake Wissota from Little Lake Wissota, WI…so the deck boat gave me low clearance to go between lakes but ample interior room and wide stable deck…I bought a 2021 Bayliner 160 Element…perfect for our needs.
Love you videos and content! However, I disagree about categorizing. Having personally owned a splendor car for 6 years, I would argue they are a custom and premium boat brand. I love my splendor 240 cuddly with a 454mag. Gorgeous boat that handles well, is fast, and is built with high quality.
I love the SeaRay SDX 250. The port side bow entry with the bow seats running East/west. The huge center head compartment. If they make an SDX250 surf, I may be sold
Thank you, as I migrate from a stern drive (sold - 2nd best day in a boat owners life) to an outboard; I thought the worry about soaked transoms (from the stern drive openings etc in the transom) and resulting rotted wood were a thing of the past with an outboard. Sad to learn that a plastic lip over the seam between the hull transom and the sole is all that will keep water out of an outboard transom, and the plastic lip is just part of the slap dash assembly of these "value" boats. There is no value in these boats: shoddy quality at prices exceeding the price of a new car will just result in a second disappointing bill for the owner, the depreciation money from new purchase price that he will lose when he sells it.
Monterey still makes their M series deck boats. Cobolt discontinued their SC series deck boats in the under 30 category. Both are on par with the SeaRay. SeaRays smaller deck boats are now made in Mexico and not on par with their larger USA made boats.
Shouldn't you be comparing by prices Your comparing a Sea ray for $156.000, to boats less than $40k. I have a hurricane SD2400, which stickers around $90k, the hurricane your reviewing is a enter level one with the flat bottom, the SD2400 is made for rough waters because of the deep V.
The dead rise on the Hurricane SD 2400 is 16 degrees. That’s not even close to a deep vee. Industry standards for a deep vee are accepted as 21-26 degree transom deadrise with 20 degrees borderline. A Hurricane can’t even come close to true rough water performance.
We looked into purchasing a 2023 Glastron deck boat. It turns out, according to the manufacturer in Cadillac MI, they are only selling them to boat rental outfits. Too bad as they look well designed.
Been waiting on this review. Kind of disappointed in your opinion and the quality of build in the StarCraft and Stingrays because that is where I was leaning.
the Tahoe you pictured and were reviewing wasn't even one of their deck boats! it was the chrap ass $15k 16ft boat not the 1950 or 2150 deck boats. piss poor research and presentation on your part, I'm disappointed in you
All Tahoes are cheaply built and should be relegated to the bottom tier as the captain does. My neighbor bought a new Tahoe bow rider and didn’t even come with an automatic bilge pump. It had a manual on/off switch for the bilge. Fit and finish can’t compare with any of the mid or top tier boats in this video.
I have the T16 and I love it. I plan on moving up to the T21. I disagree with the comments...just because the cleats are small that doesn't make it cheap....the cleats are small because it's a small boat. Also, the turbo swing is for the outboard, it saves room. I'm very happy with the Tahoe T series so much that I'm going with the biggest version.

where's the break point length on boats made in USA/Mexico?

@@chrishackett554 incorrect, the Hurricane SD2690 OB is a Yacht Certified Offshore Deck Boat with a Deep V hull meant for rough water
These are all based on his personal opinion, but I agree. His comparisons weren't close.
Me and the wife thinking about a Tahoe☺️☺️☺️
Ok do you have one for t16?
I have the T16, we love it. I will move up to the T21, learned a lot with the T16 but need more room.
@@rm4po4 we’re looking at buying a t18.
Has the t16 held up well for you?

Jetboats considered deck boats?
Are these lake boats or can you use it on ocean ?
Any boat can be taken on the ocean or Great Lakes so long as used within the boats limitations.
The Monterey nicer than any Sea Ray.

i love our 2150 with 200 hp merc, no wood clean inside. he compared a 16' cheapo with a boat he like at 24' not the same to compare!!
