- Have you ever wanted a watch from the world of Blade Runner? The Minase Divido Urushi is as close as it comes. It's a complex watch from head to clasp, with a design inspired by traditional Japanese puzzle boxes. Read the full review here: wornandwound.com/review/revie...
Having it since 2 years, the date is really practical as my eyes are becoming old and it's readable without a cyclop. I'm still in love since I saw one, it's a great watch that brings loads of joy. And when the sun is bright, well... DISCO MACHINE ;)
Another wonderful, informative review - thank you. As an engineer, the watch is an intriguing piece of kit. As a work of art it is eclectic and bohemian. Pour moi, c'est un pont trop loin.
Thanks for this video. They were always intriguing but didn't know they were so complex
I like the industrial look of this watch with the sharp angles. There are not enough watches made like this.
Minase looks really nice, glad you guys started making videos
Got myself horizon 2.0. Fantastic watch! Looks like it’s at least twice as expensive - finishing and design is awesome. Movement is upgraded substantially - both caliber, additional features and finishing - Divido 2.0 has similar upgrade. Fantastic piece - can’t get it off the wrist
Thanks for sharing this, never knew about this brand but their pieces are stunning🤭🤩
Love this date window as you can figure out the date no matter where the hands are on the dial.
Whoa. Thanks for this review Zach! This watch is a mind blower. Not sure how I feel about it, but it’s definitely interesting.
I think those date windows are meant to convey the date even when blocked by a hand. If the date is covered, you can use the position of one of the other date numbers to ascertain the date.
i think u are right !
The overall case shape is looking like Seiko sharp edge!
It’s beyond my means, but is an amazing piece!❤️
Very nice design.
The case finishing is obviously like a Grand Seiko.
The cutouts of the dial are quite similar to the Christopher Ward c63 Sealander Elite.
Great mix of skills, traditional and modern designs.😎
I’l keep an eye on this brand for sure. 😏
Looks great 💪
Great video
cool video
This colour isn't my favorite version but they fantastic looking watches.
Like everything except for that date widow.
Their new shibo-urushi series of the model removed the date, they are the ones I am interested in in fact. Check them out as well!
This is a lovely review of a watch that demands respect for how it's made and designed, but man, that thing ends up being ugly. Anything from the date window to the oversized floating indices to the awful polished stripes on the bracelet is just offensive to my eyes.
But like said. A wonderful review of a respectable watch by an interesting brand. Thanks for posting this and taking this amount of time and consideration on it.
Squeaky bracelets usually heal themselves after a few days of wear. I've read that washing the bracelet in dish soap also helps, but I have no first-hand experience with that process.
This watch is truly unique, something we almost never see these days. Prediction: Enthusiasts will buy this thinking it will be a great addition to their collections, will quickly tire of it, and sell. Used ones will appear in a year or so for roughly half price.
While it is an interesting piece, the cost is so far into Omega, Zenith, "Rolex", JLC, Grand Seiko or any high tier brand, would be very hard to pull the trigger on their offering when you can get a COSC - IN house movement from essentially anyone else
But that is just it....not everyone wants a common Rolex......
well. It's a swiss mvmt totally "reshaped". I don't have any kind of pb with it, it runs + - 5s, which is not bad at all. The real thing is I pulled the trigger because I tried it (but I live in Paris, it's easier).
If this company used high-grade swiss movement with detailed decorations or Grand Seiko movements, it would KILL Grand Seiko. The design is more creative than anything Grand Seiko makes.
this more unique watch looks boring at first glance .... but sorts of grows on you slowly ... i was very tempted to jump video at the starting phase of this video
Today is 17 not 16 ;-).
The hands are a concern. That weak, half thought out lume. The red tip on a red dial. The finishing. Particulates. I would hazard a guess they are made third party. They don't strike me as Grand Seiko level. When you look at your watch you look at the hands. To me they don't look valid on a 6 or 7k watch. Could be a deal breaker.
Looks just like any other aliexpress watch
