You can call the $154 that you allotted yourself monthly as “Guilt Free Spending” or GFS for short. It’s what Ramit Sethi calls it in his finance book called “I Will Teach You To Be Rich.”

I loved this video ! Thanks for sharing ! I love mid year techo kaigi in general, as you said even more than line ups in the beginning of the year, so interesting to hear people’s reflections 🤓
Will you do one this year ?
    Greetings from Belgium 🌸
Ps : love your voice and could listen to you for hours !

I have two Hobonichi Weeks planners. One I use as a gardening planner/journal. The other I use as a gratitude and prayer journal. Love them.

Oh love this! I’m a teacher too. I currently use the hobonichi cousin as my teacher planner. Important dates/meetings in the monthly, daily to do’s in the weeklies, and schedules/lessons in the daily. Went through a lot of trial and error this year with my lineup. Some journals got thrown away 🫠 the one I’m most happy with is my reading journal! I was back and forth on this one. First in a rhodia, then a Stalogy, then just Storygraph, but I figured it out! So I have my reading journal in a travelers notebook. A monthly with book covers on the day I finished the book. A blank insert for book notes. And a grid insert for reviews. Then I have my morning pages. Right now it’s in a midori a5. We went through a few tho from onionskin to Cosmo air light. Passport to a4 lol. Right now the a5 is ok. My 5 year which I won’t continue after the fifth year it’s too much I always forget and have to go back. I have an a6 hobonichi which I impulse bought. Right now it’s a tarot journal, we’ll see how it goes. And a moleskine sketchbook

I have used a hobonichi weeks for my finance tracker for the last 2 years. I have come a long way in how I track it, refined what I track and where, and it's made me more thoughtful and intentional with my goals. 😍 Definitely recommend it to someone looking to work on their finances.

Love this long video, very detailed about how you use each planner/journal. Lots of inspiration for my own planner/journal set up. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing! I think we all have to do what works for us personally, we are all unique in our needs and preferences! I’ve realized it’s okay to not journal daily… I’ve always been into the daily hobonichi pages and forcing myself… but this year really experimented and now ending up doing just weekly spreads as my only ‘commitment’ for memory keeping and journaling ☺️

i only started journaling this year and I've been loving it. Of course my spreads changed a lot over the time and I realized taht there are some things I just don't use / don't vibe with. At the same time I also realized that there are things I want to hold on to, not because I really need them, but because I want to hold myself accountable. After a very impression heavy day, I realized that I need a place to keep that together. So I decided to start a memory journal. This is where I write my diary, where I don't have themes but just go with the flow. I also use a bigger journal for that, it's a b5 instead of and a5, and I really love the extra space it gives me. Like that I can easily glue things into it without it taking the entire page. Overall I am very happy with how my journaling journey has been going and I am so happy that I found this hobby for myself. It helps me so much in organizing my private life. I will also be starting a third, smaller than a5 journal, for responsibilities I have in my student representation at Uni. I hope to get things more organized in that aspect of my life too. As you, I am also a teacher, but I already have a book at work for that. It's A4 and has premade pages, which is super practical to write out what we will do in classes as smal bullet points, write notes and organize the students. Overall I am very happy with all the books I have and how I am working with them!

Thank you for sharing your planners! So inspiring!

I love these videos, Job! I tried to simplify my planner/ journal lineup for 2022, but I’d like to take it a step further in ‘23. The one planner I’m almost regretting buying this year is the MD one-day one-page diary. It’s beautiful, but I’m not using it to it’s full potential. Your daily passport is inspiring me to go that route. I think that’s something I could keep up.

Job, I have slacked off on my habit of pulling a Tarot card and a Rune, each morning. You reminded me, and now, I want to get back to that. I keep a Hobonichi and a couple of Traveler’s Notebooks, but I would perish under the guilt of trying to keep nine! Love your watercolor art!

I wish I could handle that many journals! If I don't reach for it at least once a week it usually gets neglected. Love how you make use of them and it totally makes sense! And it's not too early to think about next year's lineup 🤔 I'm just taking it easy and not making much rules for myself at the moment (less compartmentalization).

Thank you for sharing your planners! You've inspired me to get back to doodling/watercoloring in my Hobonichi Cousin. Also love your plane TN. Been talking myself out of buying it, knowing it's a LE. If I did purchase it, it would be my first REAL TN since the one I purchased a few years ago was a no-name TN from Amazon. Newly subscribed and will now watch your past videos.

These are all so wonderful, Job! I love seeing how you plan for your content in the Hobonichi Weeks - thought that was super cool! I love your media journal as well and I know I would fall behind in something like that, but maybe I’ll try it in a small undated insert I’m not using for something else first (that I could keep near the couch and take out when I’m watching TV!).

I love your techo kaigi, and I'm jelly that you're able to keep up with them all! I have 10+ books going, and I really want to pare it down to about 5, but I also want to use up all my notebooks 😭

I love this video! It was so much fun to explore and learn the purpose of your journals
I also compartmentalize in general and this video made me consider compartmentalizing my journals/thoughts! I have a standard TN and have different purposes for each insert. Now what if I expand that to journal systems
    🤔

  • @beckyisj
    @beckyisj 2 роки тому

This was so fun to see! I'm personally still getting into the TN system (but have so far failed)... I have 2 journals that I use daily: one is purely for journaling/writing, it's an A5 Galen 400p notebook in Tomoe River and I use it with my sheening fountain pen ink (ehm OS Nitrogen ehem) in a stub TWSBI. And the second is my daily driver LT1917 120gsm that I use as a bullet journal to track my tasks, what I eat, what I spend, etc. I love it so much! And your video makes me realize that I should probably start sharing my journaling stuff too!

I've only ever got a diary, planner and a book to document events in on the go but this year's planner has definitely confirmed that if my monthly pages aren't in amongst the weekly ones I just won't use them. It's a dreadful shame that seems to be such a hard layout to find!

This year I’m guilty of adding a new notebook to my pile. I call it “muster list”, basically it’s a notebook with pre-printed templates of to do lists. But ironically it helps me a lot in being more consistent with my other 5 notebooks as well as keeping track of my stationary project pan.

Everyone has discretionary spending amounts, or hopefully, we all can set aside a bit of money to do with as we wish. More difficult during these times of inflation, but still necessary for our mental health to have some spending freedom. Tracking your finances is a smart decision. Awareness of spending habits is key.

Hey Job - There is a cute tiny house image at the bottom of one of the pages of your weekly journal (right underneath some journaling about Ms. Marvel - June 25?). Is this a rubber stamp? If so, might you share the source? Thank you!!!
