    In science and math ICSE is very much better than CBSE.Actually CBSE has poorest syllabus in science and math.Also apporoach in cbse school and board exams are factual where ICSE has prctical and application based.Specially when a child is preparing for compititive exam then CBSE syllabus is not going help in any manner but a ICSE student can score good marks.

    Very good comparison sir! I do have one question though: My son studies in DPS, Noida & will be in grade 1 for 2023-24 session..the school is giving an option to either start with CBSE or Cambridge Curriculum right from Class 1..
    Now I am open to both Indian as well as foreign universities for his higher studies..in that case, which curriculum is more preferable ?
    If we choose CBSE and later on he decides to pursue higher education abroad, is it really a challenge ? So many from my generation (30+) studied CBSE & went on to pursue higher education abroad. So why so much of focus on Cambridge Curriculum? Do they teach something specific to crack foreign universities exams ?

      Given an option @ Grade 1, I would prefer Cambridge and see how the child adapts to it; Students can study anywhere in the World irrespective of the boards they choose. If Cambridge doesn't work out for your child, you may always shift back to CBSE

    That's the great eye opener as I was a very blank regarding these boards. Please clarify as icse is an advance version of CBSE if I am not wrong
    ,are the icse students eligible for national competitive exams and will the syllabus be sufficient to crack those exams
    And if my child is eligible to move to CBSE after 8th std if I am putting in other boards mentioned in video

    • @Rightcareers
      @Rightcareers  2 роки тому

      1. ICSE is not the advanced version of CBSE. Both are different boards
      2. Even though the syllabus for competitive exams are from NCERT, there are many examples where ICSE students have cleared all those tests

    What would be the parents role for
    the students in ICSE, IB and IGCSE?
    What level of parents involvement would require for the ICSE, IB and IGCSE?
    What kind of support parents should provide to the students of ICSE, IB and IGCSE?
    What are the career options for the students in these boards ICSE, IB and IGCSE?
    If the students studied in the ICSE, IB and IGCSE wanted to write NEET or IIT etc, what should be the approach?
    Approximate fees for the ICSE, IB and IGCSE?
    What are under graduation program options for the ICSE, IB and IGCSE?
    What are post graduation program options for the ICSE, IB and IGCSE?

    • @Rightcareers
      @Rightcareers  2 роки тому +4

      1. Parents role would not change much irrespective of the board's
      2. Level of involvement differs from learner to learner. Ideally parents need to know what and how the child learns
      3. Career options remain the same irrespective of the board's. There is no question of doubt
      4. Fees Structure is decided by the School and not by the Board.
      5. For competitive exams, preparation is a must and they must have strong fundamentals in Maths, Science. Test prep centres only augment the student by making them prepare and doing with mock tests.

      @@Rightcareers In IB, as there will be many things students have to do independently, would that not require much involvement of parents especially in PYP and MYP programs? We are worried about this because we both are working and we are not sure whether we would be able to give adequate support to the children?

    As an IB student and a former CBSE student, I can vouch for the point that IB is really hard. The curriculum is so vigorous and the work load is 100 times more and stressful than CBSE.
    But the best part is IB provides a holistical development which helps greatly with future jobs and university.
    It is even justified to say IB students are already ready to work in high paid positions right after their 12th.

    It boils down to the quality of teacher. Boards won't matter.
