RUNNING FORM PART II
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 тра 2020
- About a year ago I posted a quick video on running mechanics that was a great success with nearly 400k views to date. The resounding critique was... where is the second half? We did this follow up video with some great tips and hopefully we were able to fill in the gaps. My runner is VeeJay Jones the North American OCR 3K champion of 2019. I have coached him for a few years. Our goal this year is to repeat and go after the 15k OCR World Championship as well. It's a tall order but we feel strongly that staying on point with our training, we have a good chance at success!

Who besides me have been waiting a year for this video?!
That video trick is a great example of high quality feedback loops doing the work for us
Two most awaited things
1) Half life 3
2) Correct running technique part 2.
Love your content senpai. Please use a microphone. It will significantly improve the audio quality.
Working on it.
Love this. Thank you for doing this.
Wow! It is amazing to see how all it works together! You are an amazing coach Diaz! A camera giving him a direct feedback on how he is running is a great idea!
Great video Richard. Thank you for sharing your wisdom
Using the laptop + iPad + google meets to see myself run. Made a huge difference! Thank you coach.
Amazing!!! Thanks for the great advice.
thanks guys, this helps a lot ! great job !
This information is gold!!!
I tried this technique today and increased my cadence by 8spm... thank you.
This is great! As a new runner, I have been doing low hr running but I run like shit. Soo... I smartened up (by listening to your old podcasts) and am working on mechanics and hopefully I won’t suck anymore.
Great informations.
Thanks.
Greetings from Munich, Tom.

Mohan Govindasamy thank you!
this is really help btw.Thank you coach!
THIS IS GOLD. THANK YOU!!!
🙏🏽im 38 i improved my turnover and pace and form, cut out shin splints by pointers i took away from the short clip of 1st video. Thank you.
I love how he explains everything, I've seen a lot of his videos. BUT, we really need subtitles on videos like this, sometimes it's very hard to hear with the pounding of the running
Thanks Richard!
Wow ,nice !
Thanks for the insights! What tablet app are you using to show live video from an external camera?
Finally!
So glad I found these videos. Ran xc through all of high-school and never learned this. Now that im much older ive found ive had to re-learn how to run. One of the best videos out there!!
Thanks!
Great video, been working on my running form and this video was really helpful
Glad it helped!
Coach thank you for the content. Which the secret to knee drive technique?
FINALLY :)
The best tutorial ever!!
Thank you! Stay tuned more coming!
Great video as always. Question, what was the frequency on the metronome? 180? Also, would love to see a before, during and after of a average runner or beginner. Someone not as gifted, someone who perhaps over pronates and has terrible form.
omg the fabled part 2
Thanks man
Fantastic
Coach could you get the forward lean if you increase the treadmill to a 1% incline? When I run on a treadmill I have it @1.0 inclined. To simulate outdoor running is this true thank you awesome video coach!❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏😎🇺🇸👟👟🏃🏼♂️
thank you
Is it possible that you will make a video like this but on a road or track and not treadmill?
@ Mr. Diaz .. I have a flat arch but I supinate instead of overpronate what is the proper shoe for me .. .? Please help ..
@ Mr. Diaz … I’m still heel striking .. Is that bad to do .. I’m trying my best !! This guy in the video does not seem to be heel striking ?
Is there a way to get English subtitles
I can't hear
Can someone link part 1?
How can these techniques be done outside? Thanks
At 6:10 you can see noticeable difference in his arm swing , left vs right. Right seems to be moving much more than left. Is that an issue to work on, or is it ok?
I am a bit late, sorry. In the ideal world you would want both arms to be 100% semmetrical, sadly we are not an ideal world. A bit of an uneven arm swing is nothing to worry about as long as you are relaxed and have good form everywhere else. If you look at elite runners in any racing distance you will see that everyone has a unique arm swing.... that is what makes us all special :).
Where's part 3?
His arms are wonky (asymmetrical pattern) while running. @6:20
Great, just wish I could actually hear what you’re saying
I never ran that much in my life.
How many bpm?
180
@@diazhp thank you.
But that's on a Treadmill. Completely different from REAL WORLD ROAD.
I beg to differ. How you approach a treadmill is exactly how you approach the road. The difference is in what happens next.
your arms aren't swinging the same angle, it is very weird. Look at that. it is no symetrical
It's very difficult to focus on the speech with so much noise from the running. Too bad.
Ok Karen.
What is the point of making us hear the sound of the footsteps instead of the trainer's voice? It was annoying and hard to follow what he is saying. Seems like some video recorded ages ago.
Forgive me, I am not a videographer, I'm a clinician. I try to share wha we do and it's not always a pretty production.. Future videos will be much.much better. I'm learning.
@@diazhp i had no problem hearing you and hearing the steps also helped. Thanks.
@@diazhpgreat video!..don’t mind the ungrateful complaints
Entitled mindset 😂
Thanks and looking forward to that! @@diazhp
