I passed my cbt last month and ordered my bike today (KTM RC 125). Getting it next week, just watching through your videos to pass the time. Congrats on passing your theory as well.
@@TwoWheelsTommy How easy are the stickers to remove? Will keep an eye out for more stuff. Also, I got through my CBT today, so can't wait to start getting some hours in myself!
@RavyDavy Yeah all good. I have removed a few sets now. I just give some heat from a hairdryer (or taking it wasy with a wallpaper stripper) to soften the adhesive and it comes right off. Bit of residue, same as any other sticker. I have a new one to reveal when I'm back out on my 125 👌
i literally received my cb125f from the dealership today, took it up the road and back, awesome bike, only 3 miles on the clock, loving your channel by the way, congrats on the test pass
Another great video mate! You’re doing great, and congratulations on passing your theory test! 🙌 I’m also a new rider (January 2024) and did my longest ride today, 113 miles. I’ve been out a couple of times at night and really enjoyed it. Got my bike (my first at aged 50!!) in February and have done about 800 miles on it now. Looking at sorting my theory test and doing my Direct Access next year when I’m more experienced. Looking forward to some more great videos!
Good one Tommy. Buzzing round the Island with your jousting pole! Those reflective stickers are a real safety feature on a bike at night. Anything that catches the eye like that is good. I guess your eyes pick up more light than the chin cam picked up when you were in the unlit stretches, it was proper stressful with just the white line whipping by at those speeds!
🤣 Thanks for the feedback on the stickers. You are quite right, the Gopro underperforms in low light conditions. I remember saying on the video that the headlight was actually quite good, but in the video it looks like near pitch black. I'm glad I don't have Gopro's for eye balls!
The stickers are awesome Tommy, when I go for a ride out in the country side at night, I always expect to see a ghostly figure to glide across the road lol.
Thanks for the feedback, it has all been good so far. I think it actually looks much better in person, reflective stuff is hard to get on camera as the intense brightness with a dark surrounding really confuses cameras. Don't say that, the island is known for being exceptionally haunted, I'll have to keep my eyes open, and pack a spare pair of undies 🤣
Thanks for the feedback. I looked to see if anyone else was doing them and drew a blank. If there is no interest it is no biggy, I'll just have them on my bike!
I knew you would smash the theory Tommy. Well done mate. I took my CBT today and passed so I went out on my bike for my first solo ride. What a feeling 👍🏍🏍🏍
LOL no not at all. I treated it like I was off out for a ride with my mates teaching me how to ride. An enjoyable experience I must say. I was telling my instructor all about you so he may have a watch. 😄
love the stickers, when u lit them up it reminded me of dynamo in the running man. After riding for a few years i haven't ridden in the dark yet coz ive never needed to, but love cycling in the dark so aint worried, but the state of the roads in places and lack of street lighting can be a concern, as can careless drivers ready with the SMIDSY, so GL and take care.
Thanks for the feedback on the stickers. Like you I will seldom need to ride after dark but I guess it is good to have that experience under my belt. When my lad goes to secondary school next year I intend to use a bike for most journies so it will be more commonplace. Worth pointing out, I was able to see much more with my eyes than the gopro picks up in the dark bits, but you do have to be extra vigilant regarding potholes etc...
As you know I have the exact same bike and same year. Give me stickers !!! Haha honestly mate you’ve got me on Instagram if you start selling reflective kits I’ll be your first customer. Glad to see you out and trying new things. Also nice to learn more about the man behind the mask. Night riding is so much more fun as usually the roads are more empty so you can get into your own zone. I’ve done most of my riding at night and it for sure makes for some good photos when in a town, city or by a coast. Happy riding mate 🔥
Hey mate, haha glad you like the stickers. You would actually be a good tester of them, I've seen your videos of you riding after dark so I will do you a great deal. I'm going to work on some colourways/designs etc, it is just a looooong process working alone as I do. I'll let you know :) I definitely enjoyed the quiet roads. I often leave for work at 5am and that for me would be the perfect time to ride, quiet and getting lighter every minute. 👌
@@TwoWheelsTommythose super early rides are great. There’s more headroom for nerves. I actually took my first ever dual carriageway at 11pm on a Friday from London to Southend and whilst the nerves were prominent the lack of vehicles in the road made up for it. Now when it’s light out there’s not a single road other than the north circular in London that makes me nervous. It’s all a building process and glad to see you pushing your limits and trying new things. Group rides also fast tracked the nerves going away as I have a lot of experienced riders are me giving me advice. Congrats on the theory mine is in 2 weeks, been smashing the mocks so hopefully I’ll be joining you on the mod 1 soon 🎉 let’s get it Tommy !
@loki2wheels Yeah you are quite right. I'd like to try a group ride (We have a good bike night in Ryde) but they always tend to be when my wife has scheduled me for removing wallpaper, or painting or some crap! Still, the house will look nice 🤣 Good luck with your theory 💪
Congrats on your theory and like your brilliant livery on your bike. Very nice riding in the dark but I think you probably could do with led light upgrades, it’ll be a lot more brighter and they last a lot longer than the contemporary lights
Hey Imran, thanks man. You are not the first person to mention that to me about LED lights but that being said, the Gopro underperforms in low light conditions. I remember saying on the video that the headlight was actually quite good, but in the video it looks like near pitch black. I'm glad I don't have Gopro's for eye balls! Thanks for the livery feedback, no one has hated it so far 🤣
Been driving 20+ years failed my first motorcycle theory test even though i'd done plenty of revision. 2nd time i'd rebooked but couldn't get away from work in time and missed the test. Passed 3rd time although not convincingly some of the questions caught me out and i was sure i'd failed but i got through by the skin of my teeth. Funnily enough i aced the hazard perception
Alright Tommy lad, you really need to start filtering it's allowed even hatched area's so long as there is a broken line surrounding it. Solid white line NO. Loving the pimped up CB125F looks the business. Really like those black ones that turn Orange with the light reflection sign me up for some of those. 👍
Thanks, I am keen to try some filtering, been waiting for the right video to try that! Thanks for the livery feedback, they are not on the website yet but the orange/black ones are 👌
@WR1GHTY Ain't that the truth! I have lived on the mainland most of my life, driving is terrible over here. I think people get frustrated with the tractors and geriatrics!
Hi Malcolm, glad you like the stickers. I need to test the stealth ones when I get a chance. I should have some available soon so keep an eye on the channel!
Thanks for the feedback. The Insta360 X3 maxes out at 30fps in 360 mode. Obviously I bought it just before the X4 came out. It will have to do! Glad you are enjoying the content, thanks for watching 😀
your gearbox is sequential and you can only select one gear at a time, it needs the wheels to be rotating to fully select the gear. if you stop in the wrong gear try pushing the bike forward a few inches and it should slot into the next gear. As long as your wheels are turning you can change from 5th to 1st without releasing the clutch...theres nothing wrong with your bike you just need a little more practice.
my own experience of the hazard perception is that practice makes perfect. it's easy to click when you see the hazard too soon coz u are expecting one, or too late to make sure, so search the web and do them all, maybe even sign up to a site so u can do the tests as well. I found that because i spent a little time each day testing and retesting myself the actual live test was easy, and it meant i didnt have to waste time and money retaking. GL
Thanks @MartynDavis, like bob says just keep doing the hazard perception pratice tests. I found I was seeing the hazard too soon and not scoring. By trial and error I found I could click 4 times (every 0.5 seconds or so) to cover all bases. If I did a fifth click at these intervals I got zero points for spamming. I scored 65/75 on hazard perception, I think the pass mark is 45 or something silly. Full theory test preparation video incoming when I have time to do it!
@TwoWheelsTommy that's awesome btw you have inspired me to take my CBT and step into the world of motorcycles hopefully I pass and begin my own journey
I passed my cbt last month and ordered my bike today (KTM RC 125). Getting it next week, just watching through your videos to pass the time. Congrats on passing your theory as well.
Nice one geting your CBT done, bet you cannot wait to get your KTM! Hope you get some good tips from my videos. Thanks for watching 😀
Best cbf bike of the series

I hear ya 💪
The stickers look great actually. I was having a look at your website, and really liking the look at the helmet stickers.
Thanks man, I've swapped them out now so I expect you'll see them in a future video. I am looking to do a lot more stuff for motorcyclists 👌

my stickers / reflective fork / pannier bits turned up today Tommy. Well chuffed, much higher quality than the usual. Top man
Glad you like them, thanks for your order 👊

Alright Whippy, glad you like the channel! I bet you are stoked with your bike, they are fantastic 125's. Thanks for the congrats 😀
well done on the test Tommy. Top job on the livery. I fancy a set of fork reflectors. will take a look.
Thank you. Glad you like the livery, it's a bit 'in your face' for my taste but it is just a prototype. I have another stealth one to go on!

Brilliant Tommy ide love some similar stickers on my motorcycleas I ride alot at night as I work nights and my bike is my main transport

Thanks for watching! I can't wait to try something a bit more powerful 💪
Stickers look great, and what a fab place to be able to ride when time allows. Nice video 👌
It really is! Thanks for the feedback 😀
stickers for top box and fork ordered. Top Job Tom
