Hi! I’m going to show you one of the most popular ways to tie a tie - using the Four in Hand knot. The Four in Hand knot is a slightly asymmetrical knot. It is very easy to do. Take the narrow end of the tie in your left hand and the wide end of the tie in your right hand. The trick here is to make the wide end of the tie almost twice as long as the narrow end. This will save you a lot of time and hassle later on. Take the wide end of the tie and cross it over the top of the narrow end. Then wrap the wide end around the back like this. Now wrap the wide end around the front - full circle. Thread the wide end up through the back of this gap - coming up from behind. Next, thread the tie through this little tunnel here like this. All you need to do now is adjust and tighten the tie - gradually pulling the knot up - shaping it as you go. Remember this knot is meant to be slightly asymmetrical; so don’t worry if it is a bit uneven. That is how it is meant to be. It is an informal, relaxed knot. And there you have your Four in Hand knot! Thanks for watching.
