I do love maxspect, they support their products long-term, even 10 year old lights like the razors still have replacement pucks and the option to be refurbished.
Stunning tank! I have the standard Maxspect Jump and i'm looking forward to trying it on my new tank, be interesting to see Maxspect can do on a budget, looks like a great piece of kit!
Stunning tank guys! Im liking the light! My hydra took a bath so i had to shutdown my tank until I can afford a new light. The jump blue is the one I fancy. 💙 those dragon souls are gorgeous! My favourite coral
Looks like a mini version of the Maxspect Ethereal LED fixture that never seemed to catch on in the market and disappeared. Also a bit of aiptasia there, you should get that $400 UVC flashlight you talk about and do a video showing if it actually works as advertised, or if the advertising is only about how it works.
WHAT lol I didn’t know there was a branching favities. I love favities, probably one of my favorite corals when there really happy with all there little feeder tentacles out!
After listening to you guys on reef therapy I decided to angle my light back slightly. Can’t believe I didn’t do it before, I had a shady part on the front of my scape which now has light! Nice zoa colony going there now!
Can you please share the settings. My maxspect wont connect through internet only in ap mode so cant scan other peoples settings. And I oove the way your tank with the lights look. So many thanks upfront
@@ReefBuildersVideo I definitely think you do brother it’s the best critic we could have . You are a actual marine biologist and respected in our community I say do it 🙏🏽
Amazing color in this tank! Also Lovin the old school element shirt also!!! Haven’t seen any element gear in so long probably since around 2010 / 2009! Haha…. Great looking tank bro so much POP. In my newest system I think I’m leaning towards lps dominant. Frag swap is November 13 sooooooooooo we will see what I end up with lmao 😂 no promises
Small question to this brilliant video - is there any possibility to make the Jump BLUE a little bit brighter - I`m currently not sure even to buy the normal ones (3 of them on a new 59*23*21 tank)) or the blue ones. corals will be LPS and soft corals, one or two Mika on the top. Perhaps a combination of 2 normal ones and one blue light in the middle might be also possible? Love this blue light but would like to have it on some hours "more white". Hope you understand my "english" Thanks Michael
Hello, my same light just came in and am having a rough time getting the light to connect to my phone through the router. Keep receiving a configuration timeout & have tried everything I can think of. Did you happen to run into any errors getting the light connected through the app?
Fantastic Jake. I've always loved the dome shaped corals you see on reefs, favia, favites or Platygyra I think they are. Which is the easiest, fastest growing to keep? I love the Platygyra but have heard it's very slow growing.
Hi Jake, do you ever use chemi clean for bacterial infection on corals? My candy cane coral was knocked onto my acans while on vacation. They both started healing but developed a white bacterial ring around the healing tissue. I’ve been dipping these corals twice a month for 4 months but this stuff keeps coming back. Once I dip the corals (seachem iodine) they open up and look great for about two weeks until this stuff comes back. I’ve also tried multiple different dips but this stuff always comes back. I should also add that this bacteria has spread to my other lps (fleshy corals), but has not bothered my acros or Merulina. My lfs recommended I use chemiclean, but I’m so afraid of wiping out the tank. Thanks for posting, love your channel!
good timing to ask, I've actually been going through and dosing ChemiClean to ALL my tanks to help knock back persistent low level infections in a minority of the corals. Although I've used it in the past, I was apprehensive at first but as long as you suck out most of the detritus, and aerate the tank VERY well - this part is important - you couldn't even tell that my tanks had been treated in any way. After a WC and a few days to a week all the corals appear suspiciously just a little bit healthier.
Hey mate would you recommend this over an ai hydra 32? I'm looking for a light for my cade 500 and love how close the light is to the tank and it doesn't spill out into the room making crazy shadows on the walls
You know I have targeted them on and off but this practice is variable. I find that keeping the nitrates at an appreciable level keeps them the healthiest in my tanks.
My opinion is that there's a catch, there's always a catch, but TBH I really would need to try it out and talk to some others who've used it on a tank larger than 10 gallons.
I think an Acan is my next frag...I'm new to this, and currently only have a green candy, a john deere leptastria that I got sent when I ordered jack'o leptoseris, and a couple zoa frags, a red people eater, and I'm not really sure what the other one is (purple/orange/green). I always see nice (to me at least) Acan at my local store for $20-30. I'm in no rush...my tank has been up for nearly a year now and this is still all I have...it's only a 1G though. I'm upgrading to a 2.7G, but only because it's the cheapest all glass tank I can find. I made the mistake of using acrylic and the coraline just won't come off and is all over the front now. Have you found any of your Acans to be more hardy than others? Have you found any to grow slower than others? I prefer slow growing, hardy coral in my tiny beginner tank...think an Acan would even work for me?
Is it possible a review of Bashsea biomass reactor? I don't know, maybe I have a wrong impression but looks like is the same effect of a wet-dry filter, which could be awesome reducing ammonia and nitrites but raising nitrates to the sky with a large bioload and people are getting confused they may have more fish in a reef tank with this reactor. probably I am mistaken but for sure you can clarify. Cheers !
Just wanna say to anyone in the market for AI led lights, the rigid mounting system is incredibly robust and pretty darn sexy The app to control devices is easy to use and implementing new instruments takes less than a minute No affiliations or anything like that, just speaking from personal experience 👍

The rainbow acan in the middle and the orange to the left of it look amazing!

You are a tremendous wealth of knowledge. Favites = war coral !!! I did not know that and would never have been able to look that up! 👍🏻 thanks

Very cool video.👍
Loved watching this video. Stunning tank 👌
I finally figured out what my favorite coral is in my tank although I’ve been trying to identify it forever! It’s a orange & green ear coral 🪸
Excited to see how you deal with the aptasia!
Hi, excellent video, but do you know if there is a "book" around where you can find the light profiles without using the default ones?
Absolutely stunning tank, well done.
Is the tank not too small for a yellow tang? Or is it just for show and from a larger tank? 😊 😊😊
nice update!
Jake with an Element shirt 👍 Wouldnt be surprised if he’s wearing some Osiris shoes.
I'm more of a Birkenstock guy

I thought I got excited when I found branching psamacora, branching favities would be awesome regardless the color.

I actually would like to DO it, but not sure if I have the 'finesse' and 'grace' to do it without hurting some feelings.

Where did you get the stand for your nano tanks there? If you built them can you post some details about the build plz
Innovative Marine Nuvo stands will all the paneling removed.

Light is pretty nice my buddy has a few. I compare it to the ai prime for price and par
Thanks for sharing. I think I might try angling my light like you have. Do you see much drop in light intensity at the front of the tank?
not much intensity drop, except where it hits the glass since I purposefully angled the light backwards like I described
I think that Christmas favia is actually a dipsastrea. Also, the dragon soul you said was a goniastrea is actually a coelastrea palauensis.
you're damn right! I love being corrected on coral names, I can't be the only one leading the charge on taxonomy, lol.
Jardim tá lindo desse nano lindo trabalho parabéns

Can you share the barcode for LPs sps please
Can you tell wich high and how long you use that configuration? I think I was burning my corals using the maximum spectrum

Oh yes, true Acans are incredibly hardy and that would be a great candidate for tiny tanks
Where’s the bowerbanki?
Bowerbankis are also not an Acan so I have them with the other Homophyllia and Micromussa in a different tank
