Do you have another rod you can suggest that is a bit more affordable?
You don't get more torque with a faster gear ratio.....a slower ratio like a 4.2.1 give a lot of torque foor catfish.
It's all a matter of preference really. It works for them, plus they are sponsored by that gear. Why not promote it as strong enough to handle big cats? Slower gear ratio is stronger at times. More torque and speed isn't always stronger.

@@bigkinnybassit isn't what you need for more torque...... It offers less torque. More torque comes from slower gear ratios
