      Eat me, we didn't do anything. This guy has abused women for decades. What if he abused your daughter? Get a spine.

    • @operationnevergiveup2718
      @operationnevergiveup2718 7 місяців тому

      Those were all allegations, nothing was proven. There was no abuse, I heard his side of the story as well. And I make my decision about it based on the facts that I hear. To answer your question, anyone touches my girls - dies! My spine is firm and I make my own decisions about the events. Weinsteins and Epsteins should be executed for rape and pedophilia, Charlie Rose was a victim of disgruntled employees who stained his reputation. If facts come out and prove the opposite of it then I’ll change my opinion. But from what I heard from both sides, I don’t consider him as abuser.

      The last issue was a sexual comment that he would like to see from his second floor his assistant bathing naked in his swimming pool. Other than this comment, I did not hear any scandal. Yes, I miss him in the main stream-he is a solid intellectual.

    • @NSGca
      @NSGca 7 місяців тому

      @malikahmad8170 While you obviously aren't aware of the case against him, just because you pay people off doesn't make you not guilty or innocent. What if your daughter was molested by Charlie? Would you tell your daughter " honey he's so smart, who cares if he violated you ".

    • @malikahmad8170
      @malikahmad8170 7 місяців тому

      @@NSGca what a nonsensical comment requiring an emotional response. He was inquired on ethical grounds and let go. There was no legal issues which were settled or reported in the media. Other than some loose sexual language, there was nothing else found. Immature mind like you should not watch such programs.

I loved the wide range of Guests from Presidents to musicians like Robert Plant, who you didn’t drill about reuniting! Asked and answered… moved on to the next 50 years of his singing career! I hope you come back and keep going! You’re missed!

    These are very sad days for Israel, and for the world, but I agree with your guest, this might be an oportunity for something that should have been done all these years, but it wasn't, a step in front and not backwards.

    Glad to see you making more videos. Like the nod to your old show set. How about bringing on a nice old oak chair?
    What to do about the Israel-Palestinian conflict? Is a federated union possible, or is a two-state solution the only answer? Either way, Hamas has to go. 75 years of conflict won't end easily, if at all.
    American cohesion has been breaking down for several years, too. It's hard to talk people out of destroying their adversaries when they get on that trajectory. Personally, I think only a third party could help this country out. It looks like we're in for another 4 years of the same anxiety if we have a Biden-Trump contest again. How long can this go on. We need a fresh face and a new attitude. No Labels is my choice.
    It would be great to see insight on the candidates for the 2024 election with much time given to alternatives. A lot of channels do news video from other channels (when permitted) with commentary - an easier schedule - with someone in the background of the story. You always excelled interviewing people in the background who are usually very frank, knowledgeable, and willing to share their insights freely making great conversations. Nobody would do it better.
    Just another viewer wanting more of your time and expertise. 🙂

Walking through and interacting with people in foreign places makes one hate war and all of these old folks with the string in their hands even more than before. I really admire these reasoned voices from Israeli intellectuals in these difficult times. Nuanced, informed and looking for acceptable outcomes. I miss that to some extent on the other end of this conflict. Both parties need to stand in each others shoes and see the humanity in each other. A confederate state is no brainer: all the land for all the people, Israelis elect a government in Tel Avid and the Palestinians a government in Nablus. It does not have to happen overnight and it can proceed over a decade while trust and cooperation is established.

      @@nuqwestr I do work towards ending suffer an individual commitment right now to tzedakah as part of partipation in our global mtizvot of tikkun Obama and dedication to social action. There is not much left for me in life to gather much personal happiness or joy from. As well I continue to heal from pain associated with a car accident some few years ago. However, I recognize that there are not only others who suffer like myself but are others far worse of than I am. I have been fortunate in this situation to have had much help from the kindness of strangers and myself participate the same as they by passing along housing, medical information and food, as I am able, to others. I have worked as a teacher and case manager (QMRP) of children (Deaf) and adults with disabilities, with organizations like Volunteers of America once associated with the Salvation Army (where I learned about community resources for the homeless and detox programs from addiction) so that I bring these experiences into the broader span of my daily experience. As well, I have learned to listen more than I speak though the study of some Eastern meditative practices. Yet at the end of the day, I do believe that in standing with Israel and the Jewish people as a light among the nation we must remember that we were once aliens in a foreign land and have an obligation to treat the alien in our midst as God is said to have treated us...with tzedakah (charty/loving /kindness, fairness, and law (justice).

    This attack was a "rage against the machine", a revolt against the intolerable human conditions into which the Israelis forced and segregated the Palestinians, stole their land and drove them from their homes. It is downright ironic, but very sad, that the nation on which the Holocaust was perpetrated uses the same methods of ethnic cleansing on its Palestinian cousins who are not of the same faith. And one more thing, to have a music festival next to the fences of the largest concentration camp in the world, which is Gaza, is cynicism of the worst kind. It's like the Nazi youth having their Oktoberfest at the gates of Auschwitz. And the last thing - I'm Jewish.

    Excellent video that speaks volumes about the state of both the Israeli and the Palestinians Governments.
    The Palestinians of course do not have a State which has encouraged this wayward extreme Israeli Government to expand the Israeli territories, almost like Hitler tried to do but on a much smaller scale. Now it is pretty pbvious that Gaza will be bombed to hell and into total surrender with the possibility of clearances and the expansion of Israel.
    The unfortunate Palestinians with their wayward extreme Government in Gaza which has only one objective of eliminating the Israelie State.
    History shows that a State of Palestine was never allowed and will never be allowed, leaving Israel as the only State or Country .
    This is pure madness, surely the Palestinians should have a State called Palestine, but I fear this will never happen for one very obvious reason, Iran and Russia.
    Therefore there is no solution other than "gpod" governments democratically elected on both sides.
    How on earth did the Israelies and Palestinians elect such extreme almost fascist governments.?

    My dream would be that you return to PBS to again take your rightful place as the top American interviewer. But it is clear that mediocrity is well-entrenched and would resist the return of intelligent discourse.

    Moshe Safdi may be a good architect, but he ignorantly lacks understanding of the truth about the Israeli reality. He brutally distorts the truths of life in Israel and the understanding of the political reality in Israel. Shame on you Sepdi.

    I really hate the old Charlie Rose, years ago, he let people talk, guide their points with key questions, but letting them talk. As he grew old, he increasingly wanted to be the center of attention and kept injecting his points of view or agenda, I care nothing about what Charlie Rose thinks about any issue, and thats the way it should be, he is the interviewer… or just until he ousted. Let the people talk…

    Are we just going to pretend like Israel isn't an apartheid ethnostate that manages the world's largest concentration camp? The recent attacks on Israel are vile. However, you can't expect a country that behaves as immorally as Israel to not experience a reaction.

      Not an apartheid state, not a european colony. Jews were majority in Jerusalem from the 1880s until the 1920s until the British supported Arab faction in killing Jews. Jews have been there since before Islam was created in the early 7th Century. Arabs are 20% of the population of Israel and serve in government. Show me something comparable in Gaza or the West Bank?

    • @nuqwestr
      @nuqwestr 8 місяців тому +3

      Yes, Israel is "apart" from those who work toward a Caliphate where Sharia law rules all non-Muslims. Egypt and Jordan want nothing to do with that, either. The Saudis are working with India to build an economic corridor that includes the Middle-East. Gaza could be a PART of that, with 40 kilometers of coastline on the Mediterranean. It's ideology like yours which keeps them living in the past.

      "Reaction" is a merciless slaughter of thousand civilians in cold blood? One by one, car by car, house by house... Executing, torturing, burning alive, cutting throats. Ten killed, onto the next house and murder ten more, children with their mothers.. Old people, unborn babies, young unarmed kids with fathers. Husbands and widows, no mercy for anyone.
      This is your description of "REACTION"? The attack was vile but defending such an incredible inhuman attack is nothing short of evil. Accepting that such behaviour is 'ok' and therefore giving freen light for similar "reactions" in the future, enabling mass murderers and their vile deeds. You should be ashamed of yourself.
      You should ask yourself: if Israel committed such an inhuman attack towards the Palestinians, how far would the Palestinians go?
      Yes, that's how far Israel will be going! So strap in and hold on to your hat cause this ride hasn't even started yet!

    This generation of young people see how Israeli forces kill innocent Palestinian children indiscriminately and they sympathize with them and don't understand how Israelis don't have that sympathy. They also can't grapple with what Hamas did. The same young people will tell you they don't support Hamas violence by any means. Young people are much more enlightened and human. They don't understand why Palestinians and Israelis can't live together like normal people in one land, whereas secular living is common in the USA and in many other countries. This indicates to them something intrinsically wrong about the Israeli and Palestinian world view. History does not matter for young people, future, hope, harmony and love matters to them more. Maybe, all of us, old hags, should all learn from them.

    Judicial reform wasnt the only thing that Israel became preoccupied with.
    The US put extensive pressure on Israel to support yukraine.
    Israel resisted nearly all efforts to get involved in supporting yukraine.
    But US pressure had diverted Israels attention from its first and foremost priority which is national security.
    Israeli national security is always now and forever first and foremost for all time is its own national security.
    israel national security is job number 1.
    Never again means NEVER AGAIN!!
