2018 Range Rover Velar Cabin air filter

Hey guys today I will be showing you how to remove your cabin air filter on your 2018 Velar. Its a very easy process, dont worry you got this.

The word "UP" on the tray has nothing to do with air flow direction. It's just telling us how to put the tray back in.
IF your filter says "UP" next to the arrow it's also just telling us which side goes up. However, most aftermarket filters have air flow direction arrows. The air flow is downward not up.
Think for just a moment. If the air flow was upward that would mean dirty air passes through the blower before it passes through the filter. The filter would block the dirt from passing through it which means dirt and debris would be trapped in the blower motor.
All horizontally mounted cabin air filters have downward air flow. Dirt collect on the topside of the old filter because the dirty air enters from the tip and is sucked into the center of the centrifugal blower and blown out the side to enter the ducts.
