It's based on tour point standings for the 2 semifinal rounds. Calvin was tour points leader, so he got a 7 stroke lead, some guys got 6, 5, based on their tour points, etc. After these rounds, they cut off everyone below the top 12, and the final 2 rounds are a clean slate. Rewards players who've performed well throughout the season without giving a totally insurmountable advantage.
You spoiled it for yourself by not looking up scores when you knew USDGC wasnt gonna be released right away. You really thought youd get away with a week or two and not get spoiled at all? Yea right. Grow up and look up scores next time there will be a delayed week.
