THANK U so much for making this video. This thermostat came with my condo, and I had no idea how to turn off 'temporary hold'!! Now, I finally have it on manual mode. You're the man!
I hate this thermostat. My heating system keeps turning on and off and on and off. It drives me crazy at night. :-( I do appreciate this video. It did help me to get to know the thermostat much better since the building management I just moved into didn't provide any instructions. Thanks from Bronx, NY.
I also hate this thermostat. It picks and chooses when to blow out hot air. I’m glad this video showed how to remove the programs but even with manual now it’s still blowing cool air. Maybe I need to give it time but I don’t understand why. Sometimes it’s so fast and other times it’s just cool air??
my codes do not match. I don't have a code 160. it goes from 150 to 170. where can I find a list of the codes. I have been trying to fix this for over a month and your video is the only hope I have. this is what my thermostat looks like. it is model #rth7400d1008
My thermostat skips code 160 and goes to 170. I want to de-program it but can’t figure it out. Mine looks like this one. No idea what model, previous home owner didn’t have that info. Any suggestions? Thanks
@@woodks my fan is running on auto high. The room temp dropped from 28.5 but has stayed now at 26.5 even though I have it set at 14 to try to really cool things off.

What does the big 72 stand for on the thermostat? It's so hot in my place and it went up to 78 even tho I had the heat set lower

Ok..so I have exactly installed and followed this video on deprograming…I set my temp to 17 but room temp has not changed from 25 .
Is your fan coil fan running? You should be able to hear/feel the breeze.

My thermostat keeps skipping some of the codes and variables. Please help ):
I tried to go down to “0” on settings but it goes from “4” to only “ 1”- I have the same thermostat- so why does it not go down to non program “ 0”?
I have to be honest… I don’t know. I am curious if “1” will perhaps enter your thermostat into a deprogrammed mode similar to “0”.
