- Yolanda Gail Devers is a retired American sprinter renowned for her exceptional achievements in track and field.
Competing in the 60 meters, 60m hurdles, 100m, and 100m hurdles, Devers is celebrated as one of the greatest female sprinters ever. She won Olympic gold in the 100m in both 1992 and 1996, becoming the second woman in history to defend this title. Devers also clinched the 100m world championship in 1993, making her the first female sprinter to hold both the Olympic and world titles simultaneously.
Additionally, she was the world indoor champion in the 60m in 1993, 1997, and 2004. In the 100m hurdles, Devers secured world championships in 1993, 1995, and 1999, and earned silver medals in 1991 and 2001. She also won the world indoor championship in the 60m hurdles in 2003 and a silver medal in 2004.

She did some commentary for NBC during Eugene World Champs if I remember correctly. My problem with her is that she only knows about American athletes. Her knowledge base of the other athletes in the events really needed to improve for her to be effective. If the British guy was not there to fill in the gaps it would have been a nightmare.

It's not a matter of breaking records anymore. At her age, staying fit enough just to compete, is Job 1. SAFP's PB is 10.6 and it would be amazing if she can repeat this time.

@@RichardWillis-fn4hg Sure enough; however, PBs are hard to repeat. Dina Asher-Smith (England) PB is 10.83 and she never repeated it. Elaine Thompson-Herah PB is 10.54 and she never repeated it. Even Usain Bolt, never repeated his world record and PB of 9.58.
