Thanks, great memories of flying in and out of John Wayne Intl in long time friends C182 then C210 RG. They parked these over where the new terminal buildings are now. Used to be alot of private aircraft parked there. Rgds. Laurie NZ.
Good job, nice vlog. Keep it up and I'm asking for more. And i see probably nice lenticular cloud on the left. 😀 Vision Jet approach speed is ridiculous.
@@StephenMongie You are welcome. Well, if you have a client who wants to come to Chicago or more east bound think about not right now. Here on Chicago we have fog fog blanketing the city. Crazy, crazy stuff. Chicago Executive Jet Airport I am sure has reports. Then our O'Hara and Midway Airports have delays and cancelations.
Thanks for my aviation fix for today! My friend if thats your first vlog I gotta say you did one hell of a job! Very well done! I get to be subscriber 372! How cool is that! I look forward to your upcoming content very much. Until next time 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
@Stephen Great content. The Vision Jet is my goal aircraft. It be great if one video you could share your path to the VJ. Such as previous aircraft flow, hours and overall time. Thanks in advance.
Thanks so much! I plan on talking a lot more about my transition in the next video as well as what it’s been like working with insurance as an owner operator. You can also expect a full tour of the jet at some point in the future. There are a lot of things people don’t know about when it comes to the jet
I totally get that. One thing to look into on that is the CG range. The M600 and the Epic both got aft CG with 6 big guys and bags. One reason we liked the vision is if you make the fuel stop you can take 5 large men and bags extremely comfortably.
I did but the issue was that we wanted cabin volume more. The M600 was extremely fuel efficient and had great range but the TBM is very narrow and the M600 is very short. The TBM is probably a more spacious plane in general from the M600 but it felt a little bit lateral.
Great video. I fly the first version of the vision jet. What version do you fly? I’m with you, if they could make a bigger jet I would love it. The VJ is amazing.
Love your first video, just subscribed - I wanted to ask, where did you get the RC tug for the VJ? - That is too cool! I'm working towards a VJ too...just takes time 😎
It's a Best Tug Romeo model. It's honestly a must. In my next video, you will see that we moved hangars and ive only got about a foot on either side of the door but the tug makes it a piece of cake to get in and out.
17:31 so how does the speed system work ? Honest question does it keep a constant decent speed of just under never exceed ? Was wondering because I didn’t hear any alarms
That’s a good question actually. The auto throttle manages my airspeed and keeps me right at the barber pole of 250 indicated or .528 Mach. It will bleed over a few kts at times but the power gets pulled back. I’m not sure what the exact number is but if you push into it faster or further than just a few kts you’ll get an “airspeed” call out but I’ve noticed it’s normal for it to flash in cruise and decent. I’ve also noticed if auto throttle is active it’s a little lenient on the alarm. If I’m managing power, I will get an immediate call out.
@@StephenMongieah good to know for the next to I fly a vision.(I’m a 17 year old student pilot who is 22days from his checkride 😅). I want your problems bro 😂 I fly a 172
You sure got a good job to be able to afford a $3 million toy! Me; I had to do it the hard way. SEL MEL IFR Jet provost type rating. The JP only cost $95K and goes higher and faster then your toy
I'm interested in doing what you have done. So a direct question, how much $ have you spent on your flight education/hours/licensing up to now. I'm very curious on cost to become a private pilot. Thx.
yeah, there should be zero prep for planes. The wheels should be motorized so it can wheel out without a tow, the engines should have motorized covers and the computer should monitor the engine not just on started but at all times, you should not watch any values. Aside from fueling it should just be ready to go. Sensors in the gear should know weight and balance as well. For a barebones plane I wouldn't expect that but they charge 3.3mill for this fiberglass balloon and angry spaceheater combo, it's not too much to ask. Tires should spin up for touch down as well. It's sloppy engineering to scrape them at every landing. They should probably also be airless tires. Like most I used to think jets were inherently wasteful but an Eclipse has the same fuel economy as a Baron 58 piston twin while going twice as fast so that just means nothing other than jets shouldn't exist. Turboprop is the worst of both worlds, jet price and that colonial front noise maker that looks so primitive compared to a jet. Contrary to the draconian prices they want for turbines, a jet engine can actually be very inexpensive to make. We could readily have 4 seater twin jets for under 300k$ with fuel economy better than a Bonanza. In serious cost optimization it could be under 100k and I'm not exaggerating.
Watch a LOT of flight vlogs. NICE WORK! Especially for your first flight vlog. Keep em coming!
Thanks a ton!
If this is your first mate, we're all in for a treat! Good work!
Thanks for the ride-a-long!

Vídeo incrível, lindas imagens e que linda aeronave. Continue com os vlogs e abraços do Brasil🤟
such a good looking jet!
The paint scheme is great! Enjoyed the video.
My God your Cirrus is beautiful! Very nice job with the vlogs, I have watched all of them! Thank you for sharing
Good video, dude. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to the next one. What a lesson in how to grease an aircraft onto the runway.
Cool video! I didn't expect these speeds on final, right there with sr22!
You mentioned prep time before you go flying. That is something that I would like to hear more about. Thanks.
watching from a very wet uk love the vlog !!!

This was awesome! I’m excited to see more videos!
Nice to see some fresh VJ content. Subscribed.
Much appreciated!
We need more!!! What a nice plane and good job on your editing. Can’t wait for the next vision jet videos to come!!!
Coming soon!
That was great! Wishing you success with the new channel. Looking forward to flight following !!!

Enjoyed your flight!
Yes, plz make a bigger jet. I love this aircraft. Hopefully we’ll hear some great news someday. Great first video!
Thank you for sharing a beautiful aircraft!😊
Thanks for watching! More to come!

Nice vlog. Just a sim pilot but like to fly the vision jet. Mostly the TBM. For a first vlog ya done well.
Nicely done. If you're ever in the Bay Area and want to trade rides (Cessna 180)... 😀
Thank you! This is cool! 👍
New sub, enjoyed the video.
Thanks for subbing
That’s a good pilot right there
I love the vision jet - thanks for posting. You mentioned the PC 12 - was wondering if you considered the TBM 930/960

Just under 1200
