Not enough story of Dougie’s car and I wish I could find it and present it to him that would be awesome. The back of my time driving that 70 barracuda around my buddy had one he was the Mopar man and I used to drive that barracuda around it was a 318 four-speed car with black interior and I loved it and I just wonder if it’s one of the coupes not sure
I thought I was saving a ton on my 1968 mustang when I bought it. It looked perfect. I'm 14 years old and I had to figure out how to replace a frame rail, lower firewall, floors, fender aprons, and I'm working on the cowl right now. EVERYTHING is covered in or entirely made of fiberglass. The driver frame rail was all but non-existent.
Sounds like a Mustang! Lol! It's good to hear your into muscle cars at that age! I was too! When all my friends were Inside playing video games all day, I was out building motors and doing awesome shit!💯 Rock on, man!.....Keep doing what you're doing!😉👊
Back in the 60s 70s and 80s we did not have things like meg welders to make repairs on cars like you have today. If we were lucky, we had a stick welder and they weren’t very much fun for getting into tight spots so we optimize. Otherwise a lot of these cars would’ve went to the scrap yard/crusher should I say your lucky stars that there’s things like Bondo to help slide through the inspection.
Nice you have family involved, please pass down your wealth of knowledge, the younger generation wants nothing to do with this work, which then it will all get scrapped. Need another generation coming up. Thank you sir
A bullet type chase entrance would have a very long lasting effect on the client who is not going to get to see their own car sideways in a full drift outside of the house
That gtx looks like my friends and collegue here in the Netherlands but i was only 13 riding with him to work. He crashed it on a agriculture tractor not giving way with high speed. It had cognac colour and white roof if i remember right. That was 1981
Went to buy a car in Texas. Upon arrival I noticed fresh paint odor. I examined the car and immediately knew something was off. I examined another car the guy had for sale. This is exactly what he was doing. Hiding all the crap he had done.
I am no expert. I mean, compared to other guys I personally know, I know less. Most certainly compared to these pros there is no reason to listen to me. That admitted: I am a 54 year old guy who has always, since he was a teenager, bought older cars and fixed them up rather than buying new cars. Life is cheaper that way, and you get to make your car "brand new..." your way, rather than the way of people in Detroit, Germany or Japan (I am a MOPAR guy, but through the decades I have driven everything). So I have HAD a LOT of work done on cars over the years. And every single time, when it came time for body work and paint, the cost of making old hoods perfect vs the cost of just replacing the hoods, leads one to buying a new hood. I have gotten to the point where I no longer even look at the existing hood. I just immediately find out what a new hood costs and put that in my calculations.
I agree with you I don’t care for blue , if it’s a car , truck , bike , ect… just don’t like it ,doesn’t look good on any Mopar ! With all the badass colors Mopar has and they chose blue ? No way , like he said , Pink !

I love the show, but! Name the show for what it is, not for the 2 minutes you mentioned Dougie’s car!
