Let's be honest here Damon Wayans ruined this show. Clayne Crawford was the best part of the show. They had to fire 70 crew members that were the loyal to Crawford. That is a high number, if he was so bad then why such a high number had to be fired I will never know.

Clayne did an extraordinary job playing Riggs in the first two seasons. Seeing the development and mysteries of his past captures and maintains the audiences curiosity. The show simply doesn’t feel the same without him. I’ll give Sean a chance though.

But then Damon Wayans left and that was the end of the show. Whatever the reason, it’s a shame this show ended the way it did. It had so much potential.
Do some "real" digging and you will find out that this video is INSANELY one-side (which brings the ignorant people out of the wood-work to say things like, "He got paid more for doing less"). What it doesn't say is that Crawford was practically doing the writing, a little of the directing, and taking all of the abuse because he was the guy who was trying hardest to keep the show going. It's not a wonder the guy exploded on the set, he had too many responsibilities (but they don't want you to know that part). What they also don't want you to know is that Wayans was the majority tension element because he though the show was going to be about him and was soured, through the whole thing, and made things constantly worse by not showing up way too many times for shoots. Clayne was mostly fired for saying a lot of stuff, on set, that Fox didn't like so Sean William Scott was brought in and, big surprise, he got more attention than Wayans and then Wayans (out of nowhere) says, "I'm quitting because of my age/health"...Why didn't he just quit when Crawford was fired then? Because he thought he was going to take control of the situation and, when it didn't happen, he decided to sink everybody. No, if you "dig" (and find out more than what these $hitty videos put out, you find out that Wayans was slowly killing this series, from within, from the start) you get the truth.

When Wayans got hurt on set because of a piece of shrapnel is not Crawford’s fault, because don't they have to have stunt coordinators on set for those kind of scenes and to warn them of the dangers on a cop, action show! You should have done more investigating. A lot of Cast members of the show have come out in support of Clayne, as well as some of the crew. They stated the bottle incident was written into the script and the person missed the catch and it hit them in the mouth. They also stated there were NO pictures on set like Damon had suggested. They all tell how incredibly nice Clayne is and how he even stood up for the crew. Even cast and crew from his other projects have stood up for Clayne. It's looking more and more like Damon is an ego maniac that was so jealous of Clayne that he worked to have him fired. He callled fans racist that support Clayne, and some cast and crew are still afraid of losing their jobs because of standing up for Clayne. Hillary Burton was one of the actresses that stood up for Clayne. Seriously you should do better research, cause you basically just glossed over it, in an effort to put the show and Damon in a good light. Fact is without Clayne the show will crash cause fans are leaving already.

I would have skipped the season if I knew it ended with that bullshit. I swear every show this year has been ruined. About 20 cancelled since they screwed up and put in political bullshit or killed off characters who were carrying their franchise to avoid pay disputes. Seems TV is dead this year and movies are just regurgitation of old stories with a small twist. A twist which more often than not scuttles the whole narrative and means that the next movie has to be prequel to be able to be marketed.

I'm so upset about this. My life has been full of loss after loss. When I can leave my life by diving into a good book or TV it helps me to cope. I loved Riggs. His character was very identifiable. Plus the whole show was really good. Action, drama, and comedy.. What more can you ask for. Plus actor Clayne Crawford is quite good. I'm disappointed and wish it could somehow be fixed. Ugh.. Seriously sad about this.

Finally, Crawford came out and spoke his peace about the whole situation and a few other other sources have reveal it was pure JEALOUSY on Wayans part and Wayans didn't even want to do the show and "phoned-in" some of his work. Some people say his stunt double was on-screen as much as he was. Basically Crawford carried the show with script re-writes and putting in 16 hour days. Looper gives the WRONG impression of "why" this all happened.

People really need to look into this themselves this video is very misleading. The face incident was in the script heres a quote from the crew "Clayne never hit the director or any crew or cast member. The incident where the man was hit in the face was written in the script for Riggs to toss a beverage to the suspect. That particular take he missed catching it and it hit him in the face. Not intentional at all". The poster was also said to be false "As an employee of the show, I worked on the Warner Bros lot. I have never seen the poster Damon Wayans says was posted all over the lot. If they were, I would have seen them. In fact I am pretty sure that the building in the photo isn't even on the WB lot". To top it off why are the cast and crew defending him if they wanted him off the show? The only person showing any distaste is Damon. Don't get me wrong I was a big fan of Damon as well before he told everyone to to kiss his ass.

He was absolutely brilliant in this role. He made the character his own with such nuance and soulful complexity that it stands on its own merit without the need to compare to Mel Gibsons version.

You can't right out the main character. This is going to destroy the show. Clayne and Damon together make this series good. Take Clayne away and it sucks. He is spectacular in this role and cannot be replaced, especially by Will Scott from American Pie.

it would cost too much for hollywood studio's to pay out crew members, to keep them from suing, so easier to fire actor to help balance sheets in the long run..
If the accusations are were true and there were multiple disciplinary reports on what he was doing then they would still be sued silly by the cast because the studio would have known he was a problem... of course if the reports on him were all from Wayans because Wayans wanted to be the star of the show then once Clayton was gone all the problems would be gone for the studio... Until the next star comes in and Wayans is still the token sidekick.
This is all speculation. The crew has responded on Clayne’s twitter showing that a lot of misinformation is out there and Clayne isn’t being treated fairly. You shouldn’t be making videos until you get ALL the FACTS and not just hearsay.
After they recklessly reported reason 1, which was not true, I had to just walk away, unfollow Looper, and weep. Damon Wayans is the reason Clayne was fired, not this bullshit. Wayans would show up unprepared, unwilling to get stuff done citing his religion, and acting like a diva. It was Wayans that got Clayne fired, simple.
Damon is known to be a diva on set, a whiner and demanding. Sounds to me that Damon needs to man up. The other altercation was over a stunt Clayne was going to do, but he brought up some safety concerns to the guest director and he felt that, that director was cutting corners and wasn't hearing him or taking his concerns seriously. So, he got upset, it turned into a yelling match and Clayne throwing the tea. In return Clayne did pay his weeks paycheck to that person that got hit with the bottle, publicly apologized and started "getting help' with anger management etc. which is what Fox wanted him to do. Damon was brought in as the bigger star, the money maker. once Damon started to realize that Clayne had become the star of the show, Damon couldn't stand it, and they started putting more pressure, more problems on Clayne and nit picking him etc. This is exactly what Damon and his LW "Crew" wanted. I hope Clayne goes on to become a huge star and Damon washes away...

Without a doubt , Daman Wayons is the main reason. You could see it in his actual tweets (before he deleted them) that he went out of his way to get Clayne fired and Clayne has got support on Instagram from fellow actors and actresses from the show. Daman has genuinely condemned Lethal Weapon and so many people's jobs. I honestly can't understand why he would put his own show at risk of cancellation (which TBH it will get cancelled now, unless this is some elaborate PR stunt) and I can't understand why FOX would try to replace Riggs (AKA THE Lethal Weapon) :(

Ok, we are not watching this tv series anymore. The guy actually owned Riggs. And I do think Gibson is awesome. He came and did his own thing and it worked. I'm sure the crew that complained don't want a Twitter mob against if they go public. From the comments here, it seems fans care more about Clayne continuing with the show than the safety and or environment of those around Clayne. Trust me, firing a lead actor of a successful series is no small thing and I'm sure his behavior must've been pretty bad to warrant it.

Clayne did an extraordinary job playing Riggs in the first two seasons. Seeing the development and mysteries of his past captures and maintains the audiences curiosity. The show simply doesn’t feel the same without him. I’ll give Sean a chance though.

Do some "real" digging and you will find out that this video is INSANELY one-side (which brings the ignorant people out of the wood-work to say things like, "He got paid more for doing less"). What it doesn't say is that Crawford was practically doing the writing, a little of the directing, and taking all of the abuse because he was the guy who was trying hardest to keep the show going. It's not a wonder the guy exploded on the set, he had too many responsibilities (but they don't want you to know that part). What they also don't want you to know is that Wayans was the majority tension element because he though the show was going to be about him and was soured, through the whole thing, and made things constantly worse by not showing up way too many times for shoots. Clayne was mostly fired for saying a lot of stuff, on set, that Fox didn't like so Sean William Scott was brought in and, big surprise, he got more attention than Wayans and then Wayans (out of nowhere) says, "I'm quitting because of my age/health"...Why didn't he just quit when Crawford was fired then? Because he thought he was going to take control of the situation and, when it didn't happen, he decided to sink everybody. No, if you "dig" (and find out more than what these $hitty videos put out, you find out that Wayans was slowly killing this series, from within, from the start) you get the truth.

This sounds like a bunch of BS! I’ve seen all the movies and he is the best choice for Martin Riggs. When Wayans got hurt on set because of a piece of shrapnel is not Crawford’s fault, because don't they have to have stunt coordinators on set for those kind of scenes and to warn them of the dangers on a cop, action show! And why is it that only Wayans is saying stuff about his anger management issues? Why are we only hearing from him and not any of the other cast or crew! My family and I love watching this show and I know my Dad and brother are gonna be pissed!

You should have done more investigating. A lot of Cast members of the show have come out in support of Clayne, as well as some of the crew. They stated the bottle incident was written into the script and the person missed the catch and it hit them in the mouth. They also stated there were NO pictures on set like Damon had suggested. They all tell how incredibly nice Clayne is and how he even stood up for the crew. Even cast and crew from his other projects have stood up for Clayne. It's looking more and more like Damon is an ego maniac that was so jealous of Clayne that he worked to have him fired. He callled fans racist that support Clayne, and some cast and crew are still afraid of losing their jobs because of standing up for Clayne. Hillary Burton was one of the actresses that stood up for Clayne. Seriously you should do better research, cause you basically just glossed over it, in an effort to put the show and Damon in a good light. Fact is without Clayne the show will crash cause fans are leaving already.

I would have skipped the season if I knew it ended with that bullshit. I swear every show this year has been ruined. About 20 cancelled since they screwed up and put in political bullshit or killed off characters who were carrying their franchise to avoid pay disputes. Seems TV is dead this year and movies are just regurgitation of old stories with a small twist. A twist which more often than not scuttles the whole narrative and means that the next movie has to be prequel to be able to be marketed.
Don't forget the fact that Damon Wayans has had bad working relationships with other actors in the past.

I'm so upset about this. My life has been full of loss after loss. When I can leave my life by diving into a good book or TV it helps me to cope. I loved Riggs. His character was very identifiable. Plus the whole show was really good. Action, drama, and comedy.. What more can you ask for. Plus actor Clayne Crawford is quite good. I'm disappointed and wish it could somehow be fixed. Ugh.. Seriously sad about this.

Looper is really off base. Finally, Crawford came out and spoke his peace about the whole situation and a few other other sources have reveal it was pure JEALOUSY on Wayans part and Wayans didn't even want to do the show and "phoned-in" some of his work. Some people say his stunt double was on-screen as much as he was. Basically Crawford carried the show with script re-writes and putting in 16 hour days.

People really need to look into this themselves this video is very misleading. The face incident was in the script heres a quote from the crew "Clayne never hit the director or any crew or cast member. The incident where the man was hit in the face was written in the script for Riggs to toss a beverage to the suspect. That particular take he missed catching it and it hit him in the face. Not intentional at all". The poster was also said to be false "As an employee of the show, I worked on the Warner Bros lot. I have never seen the poster Damon Wayans says was posted all over the lot. If they were, I would have seen them. In fact I am pretty sure that the building in the photo isn't even on the WB lot". To top it off why are the cast and crew defending him if they wanted him off the show? The only person showing any distaste is Damon. Don't get me wrong I was a big fan of Damon as well before he told everyone to to kiss his ass.
So you guys didn't bother to mention the HUGE amount of people that have worked with him and would love to work with him again. All you had to do is go on Clayne Crawford's Twitter and see the support for him? You basically just told Damon Wayne's part of the story. it would cost too much for hollywood studio's to pay out crew members, to keep them from suing, so easier to fire actor to help balance sheets in the long run..
If the accusations are were true and there were multiple disciplinary reports on what he was doing then they would still be sued silly by the cast because the studio would have known he was a problem... of course if the reports on him were all from Wayans because Wayans wanted to be the star of the show then once Clayton was gone all the problems would be gone for the studio... Until the next star comes in and Wayans is still the token sidekick.

Damon is known to be a diva on set, a whiner and demanding. Sounds to me that Damon needs to man up. The other altercation was over a stunt Clayne was going to do, but he brought up some safety concerns to the guest director and he felt that, that director was cutting corners and wasn't hearing him or taking his concerns seriously. So, he got upset, it turned into a yelling match and Clayne throwing the tea. In return Clayne did pay his weeks paycheck to that person that got hit with the bottle, publicly apologized and started "getting help' with anger management etc. which is what Fox wanted him to do. Damon was brought in as the bigger star, the money maker. once Damon started to realize that Clayne had become the star of the show, Damon couldn't stand it, and they started putting more pressure, more problems on Clayne and nit picking him etc. This is exactly what Damon and his LW "Crew" wanted. I hope Clayne goes on to become a huge star and Damon washes away...

Without a doubt , Daman Wayons is the main reason. You could see it in his actual tweets (before he deleted them) that he went out of his way to get Clayne fired and Clayne has got support on Instagram from fellow actors and actresses from the show. Daman has genuinely condemned Lethal Weapon and so many people's jobs. I honestly can't understand why he would put his own show at risk of cancellation (which TBH it will get cancelled now, unless this is some elaborate PR stunt) and I can't understand why FOX would try to replace Riggs (AKA THE Lethal Weapon) :(

Ok, we are not watching this tv series anymore. The guy actually owned Riggs. And I do think Gibson is awesome. He came and did his own thing and it worked. Somebody had to do the action sequences and the heavy lifting as an actor, and Clayne filled BOTH roles........OH and the comedic repartee as well, HE made Wayans look good, Wayans should be thanking him!

nise 54 wah wah how old are you? You can't be an adult because you don't seem to get it. If he was fired off of a hit series he was causing many problems with more than one person. And they tried to fix the problem and it didn't work. For the good of the cast and crew they had to let him go. I don't know what's so hard to understand.
Anna Draper is that the same cast and crew supporting Clayne on twitter and Instagram? Odd how after Clayne was fired there still wasn’t any crew supporting Damon’s version of the story huh.
I won't watch anymore. There are ways this could all have been handled better IMO. Wayans and him had great screen chemistry which I doubt the next season will have. Hope he gets another role somewhere because I thought he was a very good actor.

Dude, that's what I'm saying.. Clayne MADE this show.. His character made it interesting and fun as hell to watch. I'll watch the next season JUST BECAUSE.. but I doubt I'll watch more than a few episodes depending on the vibes I get from it.
it might be that Wayans is the only one with enough clout to saying anything and not be hurt that bad from any repercussions. if joe the sound guy spoke out his career would most likely be over.
Not to mention the anti bullying organizations that Clayne speaks for hasn't backed away from him....
Talking Shit about your coworkers (even if it's true) is a great way to not get any more work in Hollywood. Especially when it's someone the Fans really love and are going defend no matter how much evidence exists.
I'm sure the crew that complained don't want a Twitter mob against if they go public. From the comments here, it seems fans care more about Clayne continuing with the show than the safety and or environment of those around Clayne. Trust me, firing a lead actor of a successful series is no small thing and I'm sure his behavior must've been pretty bad to warrant it.

His method was genius. He became Riggs. Too bad no one else would play along.
I like the show but it is all about Rigs, so without him, I see no point in continuing watching it. May be he was a jerk, who knows for sure but that series is over without him. Imagine guns n roses without Axl Rose, I mean, he is a jerk but if you want to keep the money comming in....

The way I see it is, Wayans "shining star" fade in the light of Crawford charisma in the role and his ego took a massive bashing. This article is shit, it's all onesided.
Besides... Riggs IS the lethal weapon. It doesn't work without him.

I agree. I only watched because of Clayne. He was perfect for the role. After he got shot I cried too and never watched again. How do you kill off one of the main characters and expect the show to live on.
