perfect I don't usually pack my white, but it is interesting to find out exactly how to do it for when it's needed. appreciate the knowledge. thank you
Thank you for your time, support, and feedback. I don't typically pack white either but for this tattoo I had the idea so I went for it haha Should you ever have any questions along your way please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
Yeah thanks bro. That true skin is awesome. I thought you were tattooing someone until you said it was fake skin. I like working with low voltage as well
As is the norm, another very informative and helpful video. White is something I've always been a bit sub-par/lacking in the saturation department. This video has made a real difference in my future practice. Definitely gonna break out some of my Reelskin n get to practicing. ✌️🇳🇿🤟
Hi when putting in white highlights in with ROUND LINER, round shader, what voltage and stroke and technique do you use for the above configurations please...I do seem to overwork the skin with white highlights? Thank you
Oh WOW! That is awesome! Time is flying right on by it's crazy! I can still remember when I first started tattooing. I will be here should you ever have any questions throughout your journey don't hesitate to drop a comment, I will assist you in the best possible direction.
Can someone tell me how the color stays without falling out if we are using just the tips of our needles? Why is depth not important when shading or packing?
I think white is the hardest to saturate and fill in the pigments and its the one i practiced the most, is it cause of the pigment solution i used to make the thick ink to make it more flowy idk, but white on black is much easier and a breeze, thanks for the video Sensei
Thank you Spencer! I appreciate your time, support and feedback! If you have any questions along your way don't hesitate to drop a comment and I will do my best to assist you in the best possible direction.
Man, I tried packing white ink for my first time on a Reelskin the other day and it straight up looked like shit. It wasn’t sitting and after several passes it looked grayish and dark. Is it cuz it’s cheap ink I got in an Amazon tattoo kit or wut? I’m confused af.
Hello! Thank you for reaching out. I am using Trueskin Fake skin for this demonstration. I will leave a link for you below so you can check it out on your end. Trueskin Fake Tattoo Skin amzn.to/3uLFkl3
Will the stencil come out during the heal process when tattooing with white , did a light pink tattoo the other day and it's like I can still see the stencil. Why is that?
Thanx for as always great vids mate 🙏🏻 I hope u can help me.. I wonder what white ink is best??? most white color Strait throu ? Thank u so much for you teach us n me 😊 doing a lot of fakeskin n now it can wery from fake to real skin but wanna havd the deepest cleanest white color 😊🙏🏻 thanx mate
Hi, I tried to do a small white tattoo today and I just couldn't get the ink in. I'd just get a red skin no matter what. Eventually I stopped trying to avoid overworking the skin. The machine setting was the same as before. Why do you think it has been my problem
i had a flag tattoo doen on friday and it has a white band running down the centre of the flag but my tattoo artist refused to put white on as he said it would work???
I try not to pack white. Usually use it for highlights with a round shader or liner even. White is sneaky as well. It likes to brighten up after a few mins. I kinda hit it then go somewhere else then come back.
It would really depend on the situation. Every tattoo application process is different. Generally the rule of thumb is when the tattoo is being outlines or first applied we will dab with a dry paper towel. As the tattoo is being done and we have a good foundation or are finished we can wet wipe to remove any excess ink and or stencil if needed.
Aye yuck what is a good stroke to use for color packing? I got a ambition soldier Mars u ,and i cant seem to understand whitch stroke for shading around 3.0 sroke with 7.5 voltage is what i have had best luck with
Love your technique. Yesterday I attempted to pack white. Used a 7mag needle, now my stuff came out horrible. Yes, I know its about my technique. One of the issues I was having, was that while I didnt apply much pressure, the needles would get stuck in my pore holes. So how do I hold my machine? Straight down or slant it a little?
Hey! Licensed artist here, you always want to hold your machine at a 40° ish angle, never straight up and down. If you’re having trouble with “knicking” the skin, try adjusting how far the needle is sticking out of the tube!
That is a great question! I think it would depend on what you wanted out of your setup. What style of tattoos will 1 be doing? What sterilization process do we want to take? What do we want our process to be? These are some of the questions I asked myself but to sum it down I would say some great machines to look into are the CNC Q1, CNC Q2, the CNC X-WE Plus, the Mast Tour Pro, the InkClaw Dagger, the Neuma 4 is also outstanding. @@DanielYuck thanks! I went with the dragonhawk pro! with some dynamic ink(just because I was familiar with that ink from previous tattoos) It arrived 3 days ago, still buying supplies I got some medical grade disinfectant wipes. But I still need to order my fake skins from frankinskins(don’t think I spelled that right) and get various other things needed before I start practicing.
Did you ever used stencils that you have to draw freehand? I have freehand spirit paper and i cant make stencil stay on ReelSkin by any method, Fans, Ovens, Speed Stick, mixed Aloe/Talc/SpeedStick, Stencil stuff, i tried everying. Waiting 1,2,3 days, Stencil is coming of from literaly barely touching it, i cant fkn learn. Do i have to invest in printer?
That is a new and great question! I would say what naturally comes to my mind is the location of the scar, the curvature of the scar, size, etc. All of these are variables I would consider when picking out a needle because I think every scar would require a different needle and approach. It is really fascinating to think about but is a bit difficult to answer outright as there is much to consider.
Hi! I’ve got an issue with white, it dries very quick on my needles (after 1 or 2 lines) so I’m not able to apply the color after that. I use it for small highlight, usually with a 7RL. I use white from eternal ink but I’m pretty sure I had the same problem with an ink from “world famous” so i think I do something wrong? Anyone can help?
Did your Eternal brand actually come from a legit reseller or from Amazon? It's possibly fake if it wasn't from a legit seller. Try adding a drop or 2 of water to the white to thin it some. I use Eternal and Radiant colors, but I found an awesome white from Viking Inks.
Why my white inks (both intenze and world famous) are way too thick and they just dont dont get IN the skin. Rm5 , 5-6V on source and yet when i try to remove it, it gets stuck on the black and the rest of my skin? Shall i dilute it? Wont loose its intensity?

For me it works when I trace the stencil (on the fake skin) with a coloured pencil (maybe a kinda soft pencil would work too), it needs to be blunt. It pats the stencil really well onto the silicone. When that doesn't work maybe you need to freehand one with a sharpie. You can cut the end of it to make it work like a fountain pen

Can someone tell me if as a tattoo artist do you use wet or dry paper towels when cleaning the skin? Do you dab or do you swipe? What’s best?
It would really depend on the situation. Every tattoo application process is different. Generally the rule of thumb is when the tattoo is being outlines or first applied we will dab with a dry paper towel.
