So the elites can be used in chocolates. Master elites in butter cream royal icing , etc- can elites be used in royal icing and have the same outcome it would have in chocolate?
Hi, so glad that you have found our products, unfortunately the products need water. This has more to do with what alcohol is. Everclear is 95% alcohol. This means that It is 190% were as vodka is 90 proof or 45% alcohol. You need water or egg whites to be the activator.
I purchased TWO LARGE (separately) orders. 1st order was the entire line of the conventional elite colors, not knowing I needed the master elite line. I then purchased the entire line of master elite colors, along with the super cute measuring spoons! Anyway, I'm having the hardest time coloring my royal icing. By the time I reach the color I need, the icing is too thin for what I need. Although I do use an eye dropper, I just can't seem to keep a thicker icing while getting the deep color I need. PLEASE help! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I’m confused. I ordered the best seller elites & still waiting on them. I don’t do chocolate stuff. I got it for royal icing & buttercream. Do I have to add water, then add to my icing/frosting? I’m new at this powder stuff & I am afraid I made a mistake in thinking the powdered stuff will be easier. Please help!
Hello, thank you for sharing this video, very well explained, and I am loving your Master Elite products. With the conventional Elite line, can you use this in meringue? What kind of pay off would you get in terms of vibrancy compared to master elite colours. Thank you :) Rose
Long explanation short Elite colors are already activated, they can be mixed into your Meringue however they typically will be 1/10 up to 1/20 less intense. There is a place for them but this is not the best utilization of the conventional Elite line. Adding them to chocolate or painting with it would be better.
I make gourmet marshmallows and am looking for something to make vibrant colors. Would the Master Elites work in the syrup mixture (sugar, corn syrup, and water)?
Absolutely they will! We’ve made homemade marshmallows with Master Elites several times - we also just posted a “short” using grocery store mini marshmallows and tinting them with ME Violet - just as a quick example
Hi blessings a question I see all you videos and you say this works on fondant but I never see you use on it and I bought you products but am stock because I don now how to add to he fondan can you please help ty for you answer have a nice day
The Best way is to just add it to the fondant. Fondant however dose not have a lot of moisture in it so the colors will take longer to develop, so the way that I go about resolving this is one of two ways. The first is to take a small amount of fondant and create a super strong mixture. This is one that I keep made ahead of time and as needed I will add this to the plain whit fondant and get my color without waiting for the color to develop this prosses typically is something that you would want to do a day ahead of time. The second way is to take the color and activate it, you can place a small amount of the color in a little groove that you make in your fondant, then you can add a few drops of water or corn syrup to this using a toothpick you can mix and dissolve the color crystals and this is a quicker way however it is a little more messy. As I am writing this out one more way comes to mind if you are making your own fondant ie. marshmallow fondant you can activate the color with the water that you would otherwise use in the mixture and then you will have it pre colored.
This was so helpful thank you I just bought the elite red rose for royal icing didnt know It can also work with chocolate nice!
🤩wow thx you so much for all the explanation 👍🏻

How do you maintain a stiff-ish consistency if you have to keep using water to activate the master elites?
new to the Sugar Art community...would a bit of ever clear activate those master elites in chocolate?
No, Master Elites actually need to have water, Ever clear is just an alcohol and is non reactive to the powder. This is an awesome question.

I’m making ermine frosting. When should I add my master elite, to the roux after it’s cooked and before I cool it? Thank you for any advice

You can however the payoff is not the same as with the Master Elite. You may need up to X20 as much color.
Hi would the elite line work on royal icing at all ?
