Further proof that you need to support indie devs.
Agreed!
To be fair, so called "staged reload" when game remember on which step you reloading is interrupted was a selling point in Insurgency Sandstorm. But yeah - it is still a rare thing in games.
CoD does that now, too.
Titanfall 2 also have it, idk about about TF1 though since I never played that.
The film clip used was from Black Hawk Down. Great film, do recommend.
PRAISE BATTLE BIT!
I haven't been able to get into any PvP FPS games since the original Cod MW2. Battle Bit has had me addicted, it's the best shooter in a decade.
I'll quote some guy from Ubisoft: "We used to make games that we want to play. Now we don't. It feels like some sort of gatekeeping."
They don't make games, they make microtransaction interfaces by copy-pasting with 3000 people working on a single game and only a handful of them knowing what they are doing.
Meanwhile, 3 dudes had made this. Triple A games aren't trendmakers anymore. Hell, Battleroyal genre was indie, before fortnite happened.
Wait, I thought the dude that said that was from Bungie.
@@Drakes_lair You might be right. Bungie, Ubisoft, what's the difference anyway? :D
I get why it's not polished (yet), and that they focus on gunplay which is 90% of the game.
But just that my favorite part of BF was the vehicules. Being in a TTV or a tank, rip people from recon heli, put down other aircrafts from a jet...
I really hope they work on that more.
27:04 That's from Black Hawk Down.
BattleBit is the ultimate vindication of my position that certain games, like Pokemon or the old FPS games, never needed to evolve their graphics beyond a certain point. It's better to keep the visuals primitive and focus on fun gameplay and bigger scope. What do you think would be more popular, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, or a Switch cart that had every single 2d Pokemon game in it, all connected together, with ALL the Pokemon, and some quality of life add-ons like a Pokemon bank or challenge mods? No contest. The industry has swindled people for literal DECADES, convincing people that it's hard to make big, fun games. No, it really isn't.
3 guys completely outclassed a multi billion dollar company
also took them 7 years to make it, wich shows their determination
27:06 that's Black Hawk Down but i had to look that up cause that video quality is NUKED
Speaking of building things in shooter games, remember Ace of Spades? What a good game it was...
BRO YOU JUST UNLOCKED SOME DEEP MEMORIES
27:06 it's Blackhawk down, not Battle LA.
Bit late to the reaction, but as someone who plays dedicated medic in previous battlefields, this game is an absolute treat. Not only is it rewarding as hell to keep a squad objective push alive with choice smoke and revive choices, but the undying respect and love from your random team-mates for helping and healing them out is amplified 100-fold due to the VOIP.
I've even gotten compliments and comments on my healing from dead enemies in the area.
My personal favourite was easily on a huge push on the fort on a bridge. There were so many downed players on both sides around. As I smoked and was reviving my squad, I could hear an enemy over the com's saying "Yo Tristan, see that? That dude's an actual medic, do that more TRISTAN!"
I am convinced that Bricky needs to review enlisted
19:28 - Classic Justin Wong moment where he "educates" this poor child into the cheese of "Jax Spam Missile". That child grew to ask for revenge and I think that happened eventually, but it's still one of the biggest moments in the FGC history.
the quote with the sounds wen they shoting and us. is from black hawk down.
Grunt birthday party have me aiming at heads since the 1st firefight in halo odst lol that feed back with standard hitmarker is so nice.
i know staged reload is in like.. two games that i've played? they 'recently' added it to R6:Siege, and it was a massive point for Insurgency Sandstorm
i think MW2 has it too, but i've not been around that to know
MwII does have it, although its annoying in a lot of cases as im used to reload canceling
That IGN review? Yeah just insert that one face Shrek makes when he's looking at Donkey in the 1st movie as my reaction
Medic patches you up in any game that has proximity chat: "The industrial revolution and its conseque-*
Last game I saw staged reloads in was Darktide and funny enough I don't think I saw this feature in any game I played before.
Three people woke up one day and said: “let’s make a fun video game”
Ign: *gives the game a score of 7*
Everyone: _We must kill them!_
My personal reaction: Fucking jeel 'em
I love that players have a alternative title for battle bit and it's "war crime simulator"
I remember Vent... im old.
I would like to add the Hell Let Loose headshot ping is also so satisfying
27:06 That is Black Hawk Down...
❤❤ Best Reaction Channel ❤❤
hell yeah bro but what kind of bass is that in the background on the right?
I don't know if they exist anymore, but it's a Washburn bass. That Ive had for 15 years
7:07 devs ban people who are very toxic
Correct 💯
As it should be
it's one of my favorite things about the game, too many devs are way too hands off and let their communities turn into toxic cesspits, it's really refreshing to see.
The only other game I’ve played the saved where you were on the reloads is Titanfall 2.
ngl i'd watch a casual stream of you playing this game
when they said game chat.... made me remember MW2... man those where the days
the only "hyper realistic shooters" that are good IMO are Squad and ARMA 3 and even they are missing practical abilities, like repacking the mags. The body drag is in both and is fantastic in Squad, kind of a pain in ARMA. It's crazy to see a very small team put out something that puts massive mil-sims to shame. (Mostly the repacking mags, how in gods green earth is that not in Squad?)
cause Arma and squad would have to make it realistic so about 5 - 10 seconds per round that gets moved. making it basically very hard or not possible to do it mid fight.
The stash is perfect
That god damn moustache wow
You often pause his video to simply state what he is about to...
God I miss trashtalk in video games. As long as it never got personal (it usually doesn't) it was great. Hell sometimes it was better then the actual match itself
is it bad i got Gamespot and IGN mixed up Gamespot actually has firearms expert reacting to Battlibit weapon
Game companies seem to have forgotten what we play games for. We don't buy your games because we want photorealistic graphics. That might've been something incredible back then, but today some random guy off in the corner of the world can make realistic graphics. We play games for fun. We want the things we play to be fun. We don't need 200 skins for each weapons, we don't need hyper-realistic graphics, we don't need *every single title to be some political statement* , we don't need a shittruck ton of features, we want games that we can hop into, and have fun for the next 6 hours to the point where it feels like it's only been 1 hour.
Based
Can't wait for the argument that this somehow sets unrealistic expectations of AAA studios. Games like BattleBit and Baldur's Gate III are showing people that AAA doesn't mean it will be a good product.
I think I’m gonna buy battle bit now
everyone remember battlefield 2042 IGN they did not mention any of the bug, glitch, fps. all that just to give it a 7.
"clunky vehicle movement" bruh...ign.. they understand this is like.. roblox battlefield? its supposed to be clunky and low res. 🤣🤣
Showed going over very rough terrain. Says vehicles has clunky movement. lol
I don't know. intro cutscene in some FPS are cool to me. I mean, look at battlefront. Those cutscene made all battles very cinematic.
By they way. Is he slowly morphing into Neil Degrasse Tyson?
open game...multiplayer...find match.. pick mode.... in
halo was the reason to get an xbox
Capture the flag is back.
totally unrelated to battlebit i like your moustache
I tried BF 2042 a couple months ago and it still plays like hot garbage. I also have a decently beefy rig and it still chugged. Even after setting tweaks and driver updates.
also programmers are the eldritch horror of anything that involves in programming just give them time and money to do it.
the game was hard for me to play. maybe due to my boomer reflex but in the end it was an undesirable experience.
not that i regret my purchase. glad i can stop pirating games from time to time.
and he forgot to tell you the guns have Realistic recoil
side note for 15$ you can learn to be a good actor or actress :D
Yo am I first ?
Sick !
Ah, i really liked halo infinites gameplay, but there were so many other things that just made me loose interest. Such a shame
yeh so this game is hypercasual squad with worst graphics and gun customisation
well i not watch review from this big game review channel long time ago. they have to much string attach and can't do honest review.
Its just minecraft with guns wtf? No one asked for that
Ever heard of gameplay over graphics?
