This is why I love your channel. I'm a guy and our film tastes are very different (except for studio ghibli films), but you don't give in to the dumb "cinephile" mentality, where movie "lovers" only love the films people tell them to love, pretty much a contradiction of itself. You're very honest with the films you actually love, and although only two of your top ten films would be on mine, it has nothing to do with what films EYE thought were top ten, because it's YOUR list and your very honest and unapologetic for it. You're what I think an ACTUAL cinephile should be, someone who genuinely loves films, not blends in with the common opinions.
I actually appreciate this comment so much. I’ve been trying to be less on twitter cause I found film twitter to be kind of toxic, it always brings my mood down when i read takes on there. Everyone should unapologetically enjoy the movies they enjoy without relying on the opinions of others. Thanks again for your comment!! I’m glad you enjoy my content and appreciate our different tastes in certain films! 💕
@cinemoni Absolutely agree. Twitter movie "fans" are miserable, which is why I deleted my account on there altogether. Keep on making good stuff because your love for film definitely shows and inspires others to do the same!!
Idk. I feel like her picks this year are quite normie from the cinephile perspective.😅 It's basically 90% similar to every top ten list from film UA-cam. It's not necessarily a bad thing as it means films like poor things or past lives or anatomy of a fall are universally acclaimed. But it feels kinda tired after seeing over 15 lists and they are 80% the same😅
Completely agree, this is my first video I’ve seen of hers, but it was refreshing to see a couple movies I haven’t heard anyone talk about, and she left off a movie that I’ve seen on everyone’s list that to me was just okay. Not that I need anyone to agree with my movie tastes, but very refreshing.
I think her list is pretty mainstream film fan. Not knocking it. I have a very similar top 10, but it overlaps with many movie lovers that aren't action/blockbuster bros or super obscure obnoxious fans.
I love the mini-posters, great list and commmentary. An overlooked film from this year that I think might align with your taste is Fingernails. It's a subtle and quirky examination of love that I recommend checking out.
Yess I agree so much! Past lives is such a human film that really makes you reflect on "what if" There are a lot of these films I want to watch, especially The Boy and the Heron and I definitely need to explore poor things and the hold overs. I think one of my favourites this year though was the Society of Snow (i think it's released on netflix on the 4th of jan but it's really worth it to watch in theatres if you can) it was such a hard film but the way the themes were explored is so beautiful and heart-breaking, it's one of those films that stays in your mind for a long time after watching it! Happy New Year!!❤❤❤❤

I haven't seen Passages or the Eight Mountains yet, as well as films like The Zone of Interest, Fallen Leaves, and Wong Kar-Wai's new show Blossoms Shanghai because they aren't yet available for me. 1. Love the list, can agree on most of your choices. Priscilla was definitely heartbreaking and as you say a return to form for Sofia, but not on my list of favorites of the year. Past Lives though, was incredible. Best movie I have seen in a while and fully agree that it made me feel the things that I feel when watching the Before trilogy. Crazy that it is a directorial debut movie also. Discovered you by chance, and will be following your content!
Both Barbie and Oppenheimer were some of my favourite cinema experiences that I had this year, and the latter was definitely my favourite film for this year. Across the Spider-Verse and Godzilla Minus One were also great crowd-pleasing blockbusters, and I really enjoyed Past Lives and Asteroid City. Also I'm glad to see some love for Are You There God? It's Me Margaret, such an underrated film in my opinion. I didn't get to see Killers of the Flower Moon, I haven't got around to Boy and the Heron yet, and I'm still waiting on Priscilla, Poor Things and The Holdovers to release here in the UK. Overall, it feels like 2023 has been a great year for films, and I'm excited to see what we get next year
I'm so happy to see Anatomy of a Fall in your top10, it's definitely one of the best films of the year (I'm just disappointed it wasn't selected to represent France for Best Foreign Film at the Oscars, but that's another story) I've actually have kind of the same top10, except for a French film called "Le Règne Animal" (The Animal Kingdom), I loved it, it's so bold, moving and beautiful, I highly recommend it if you get the chance to see it (I don't know if it's going to be released in the US tho...)
My two absolute favourites of the year were Past Lives (of course) and Aftersun! (I might or might not be a Paul Mescal enthusiast) 💌 Also loved Barbie, Fallen Leaves, Asteroid City! 🥰 Still need to see Poor Things, The Holdovers, Wonka and Priscilla!
I’m very glad that you included The Boy and the Heron in your top 10 list as it certainly is on mine. I’ve seen it just once which means I’ll have to watch it 49 more times to catch up to The Castle in the Sky, lol. Seriously, I intend to watch it a few more times and I’m sure that it will age like fine wine. As you said Hayao Miyazaki cannot make a bad movie, I believe that he is compelled to strive for excellence. Thanks for the video.
I love how honest you are with your opinions and how you don't just try and copy what most people would say. I know I'm 3 months late haha but I was just thinking about what a great year 2023 was for cinema so I decided to watch some people's top films from the year. I agree with some of your opinions but I would for sure put 'barbie' higher up personally.
I don't know wheter you've watched The Peasants, but If not, I highly recommend it. It's an adaptation of Władysław Reymont's Nobel Prize-winning novel of the same name. It's actually an animation, where every frame was hand-painted, and among these frames are hidden famous art works. Music, vibe and storytelling are amazing. And even though I'm not into history films, I've truly enjoyed it. It's a masterpiece for me.
I really like ypur taste in cinema I didn't start upon making my list yet but I could see us sharing a lot of movies, I couldn't help but notice your obsession with ghibli and I COULDN'T FEEL MORE CALL VALIDATED WITH THIS, some of my friends already watched The Boy and the Heron and they didn't like it that much but I'm watching it tmrw and I'm super excited though i didn't finish all miyazaki filmography but I'm planning to watch the rest in japanuary.. just discovred your channel and I'm definitely watching all of your vids
My top 10 1. Across the Spider-Verse 2. MI Dead Reckoning Part 1 3. Oppenheimer 4. Killers of the Flower Moon 5. Dumb Money 6. Air 7. Poor Things 8. May December 9. Guardians Vol 3 10. John Wick 4
YES PAST LIVES SUPREMACY I feel like none of my film critique youtubers have seen Past Lives or something? It's so slept upon, but there hasn't been a day since I watched it when I didn't think about it. It's so beautiful 😭
Personal Favorites 10 - Talk to Me 9 - Oppenheimer 8 - They Cloned Tyrone 7 - BlackBerry 6 - Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves 5 - Godzilla Minus One 4 - Mission: Impossible 7 - Dead Reckoning Part 1 3 - Puss in Boots: The Last Wish 2 - Renfield 1 - The Boy and the Heron Honorable Mentions The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Evil Dead Rise, Wonka, Suzume, Asteroid City, Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Sound of Freedom, Air, Iron Claw, Gran Turismo, Sympathy for the Devil, Leo, Organ Trail, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, The Tunnel to Summer the Exit of Goodbyes, Anatomy of a Fall, The Venture Bros.: Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart, The Killer
Loved the video! Monster was easily my top film of the year… that film devastated me 😭 (personally more so than past lives even!) It’s such a well-crafted film with such incredibly heartwarming and heartbreaking moments both. Definitely have a feeling you’ll love it… i couldn’t stop thinking about it.
I've seen people criticize The Holdovers for being a bit old fashioned but there's nothing wrong with wanting to do a solid back to basics human story, especially when you get a great actor like Paul Giamatti to carry it.
Love this list! I haven't caught Anatomy of a Fall yet and I didn't like Poor Things, The Holdovers or Killers of the Flower Moon as much as everyone else but here's my top eight in no particular order past No. 2: 1. The Boy and The Heron 2. Asteroid City - Oppenheimer - Priscilla - The Iron Claw - May December - Past Lives - Barbie I talk a LOT of smack about biopics so I never would have guessed that 3 of them would be in my favourites of the year. They weren't very enriching experiences but when it comes to guilty pleasure my two greatest hits were probably The Killer and Scream 6. I have a really hard time making lists as you can tell... Anyways just have to say that I love everything about your video style and aesthetics. Happy New Year! To happiness and health and movies!!!
I didn’t see many movies this year, but from the ones I saw my favorites were: 5) John Wick 4 4) The Holdovers 3) Godzilla Minus One 2) Oppenheimer 1) Across the Spider-Verse Please moni, if you haven’t yet, plz see Godzilla Minus One. Japanese cinema rules and that film blew me away!
Back to back amazing years for film now, hopefully it can continue in 2024. Anyways here’s my top 10: 10. The Boy and the Heron 9. John Wick 4 8. May December 7. Poor Things 6. The Holdovers 5. Killers of the Flower Moon 4. Barbie 3. Past Lives (This film made me ugly cry in a theatre full of only old, so a 10/10 movie experience) 2. Oppenheimer (Truly a cinematic achievement, Nolan is just a master and this is one of his best, could easily be number 1 on a rewatch) 1. Across the Spiderverse (The first one is great, but this just took it to another level. Both one of the greatest superhero- and animated films of all time imo) Honourable mentions: Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3, Godzilla Minus One, Air, How To Have Sex and MI7
I have to agree with Variety on Asteroid City, it's visually beautiful but I didnt feel emotionally connected to the characters at all. I loved Barbie and Oppenheimer too though, Ken's storyline in Barbie was 👌 I still need to see Priscilla and The Holdovers!
The movie I enjoyed the most this past year-I saw it four times at my local independent cinema-was the Irish language film, “An Cailín Ciúin”-“The Quiet Girl”. It’s a heartbreakingly beautiful film that I first saw last spring and has stayed in my thoughts ever since.
Please watch Godzilla Minus One, it’s the best movie of the year for me. I only watched like 6 movies but still it’s sooo good and anyone who hasn’t watched it should check it out
1. Oppenheimer 2. Across the SpiderVerse 3. The Boy and the Heron 4. Killers of the Flower Moon 5. Beau is Afraid 6. Dead Reckoning 7. John Wick: Chapter 4 8. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 9. Elemental 10. Air
Happy 2024! My top movies of 2023 would be Past Lives because i love Korean movies and Korean culture and The Boy And The Heron cause i love Studio Ghibli! Only other movie i can think of is Evil Dead Rise!
If you like films about Korean culture, you might want to check out "Riceboy Sleeps". It's about a young, single mother from South Korea trying to raise her son in Vancouver.
It was a surprisingly great film year, despite starting a bit slow. This is my top 10: #1 Past Lives #2 John Wick: Chapter 4 #3 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse #4 Oppenheimer #5 Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning part one #6 The Eight Mountains #7 Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game #8 The Holdovers #9 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem #10 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Honorable Mentions: Missing Women Talking Linoleum Knock at the Cabin True Spirit Tetris Living No One Will Save You I still have a lot I haven't seen yet, including Godzilla Minus One, Dream Scenario, May December, and some that are only released next year here in Scandinavia like 'The Boy and the Heron' and 'The Zone of Interest'. Next year will be even better!
I'm surprised no Suzume in your top ten or honorable mentions. I would put Suzume in my top ten just because it's another beautiful film. Also, you've probably haven't seen or it isn't your type of movie but Godzilla minus one is incredible and in my top 3 films of the year.
@cinemoni yeah agree, so many great films in your list that I agree with. Happy new year Monika! hope next year you accomplish everything you set out to do and continue to share your love of films with us ❤️
I think our list would be very similar with Godzilla Minus One, Priscilla, and Anatomy of the Fall would be in my top 3. I still have yet to watch past lives:(
I felt the same response. Who hasn't ever paused to consider the crucial turning point in their life that took place without them fully realizing it. Nevertheless, the one film from this past year that I still think about every day is "The Quiet Girl".
i havent seen past lives. godzilla minus one definitely at the top of my list, then poor things, oppenheimer, anatomy of the fall, the holdovers, john wick 4,first slam dunk movie, the maetro, saw x, and spider man across the spiderverse. i would highly recomment godzilla minus one. you can still catch it but its the black and white version that is showing now. its a homage to the 1954 film. i heard its only until feb 9
Thanks so much for making great videos this year. I love your content and enjoy watching your videos. Happy New Year and I hope that you continue to make great short films and one day make a feature film. I will 100% watch it. My favourite movies of the year are: 5. MI 7 4. Nimona 3. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 2. Oppenheimer 1. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Great Video Monika The movies on your list that I have not heard of before look very interresting Great recomendations! My favourite movies of 2023 are…. 🥁 (First I need to mentione that I have not yet seen ”the boy and the heron” I am a huge Miyazaki fan so I will see it on Blu•ray) Now! My top 3: 🥇Guardians of the Galaxy vol.3 🥈Barbie 🥉Mission Impossible: Dead reckoning part 1 Honorable mentions: Oppenheimer Dungeons & Dragons A haunting in Venice Little Mermaid Have a Happy New Year Monika! 🩵🩷💚💛💙💜🩵🩷💜💛🩵
Certainly, see Dream Scenario and also from the Director Sick of Myself. Poor Things from the director Dogtooth. Astriod City, binge a punch of Wes Anderson films. _Happy New Year_
My expectations were too high when it opened, but "Barbie" has gotten better the more I think about it, and this is a staple of all the Greta Gerwig films: you end up thinking and feeling and your sense of humanity expands. Mount Horsemore will never not be funny. Thank you for including "Are You There God It's Me Margaret", which has been insultingly absent from the awards conversation! I didn't end up seeing any films that could replace this one as my personal no. 1 pick for the year, because every performance and every story element added up to such a spiritual experience (appropriate since God is in the title). I could rant about it for hours. "Oppenheimer" was of course a healthy dose of Nolan. It's good to see Cillian Murphy bring the same subtle brilliance in a lead role as he has to the smaller characters Nolan has given him. Pairing him with Emily Blunt worked better than I expected. "Poor Things", "The Holdovers" and "Past Lives" still haven't shown up in my city, and I am mad. A24 has kept its quirky track record through 2023, but I admit to passing on "Priscilla" due to being put off from Elvis biopics and anything Elvis-adjacent. The trend feels disingenuous in a way I can't explain. I'll take your word that Sofia Coppola delivered, especially if her "Virgin Suicides" and "Lost in Translation" side resurfaced.
I understand the Elvis burnout, I wasn’t a huge fan of Baz Lurhman’s film last year but Priscilla was such a refreshing take on an Elvis adjacent film. Of course Elvis was in it but it didn’t even feature his music or him performing. I hope thos A24 films show in your city!
Long-belated update: "The Holdovers" and "Poor Things" eventually arrived in late January / early February. "Poor Things" ended up posing a challenge to "Are You There God It's Me Margaret" for my top spot, and upon further reflection it's a tough call.
My top 10 movies of 2023 are:- Across The Spider-verse Oppenheimer Killers of The Flower Moon Holdovers Anatomy of A Fall The Eight Mountains Fallen Leaves Poor Things The Boy and The Heron Past Lives
I thought past lives was average, I don't really see why it's best picture level. At the very beginning they tell you she cries over nothing, she's too emotional, so when she cries at the end.... she's just being overemotional. However now I want to see Anatomy of the Fall My favorite movie of the year was spiderman across the spiderverse .... and I feel so bad that I don't think it's gonna be nominated for best picture
I'm so so excited to catch up on Poor Things, probably my most anticipated film right now! And All of us Strangers, it's a shame that it takes so long to get here 🥲Also I watched Passages because I saw your video on it was and was really good, movies that depict relationships is one of my favorite things 💖Happy new year! 🎉
I dont want "perfect" movies. And Ive started to ignore people who analyze things to d-word. They dont go to a concert and EXPERIENCE it, but film it, instead. They dont EXPERIENCE the movie. They overanalyze it, and end up getting tired and bored with it BECAUSE they dont dwell in the moment of it. They think it, they dont FEEL it. They analyze it, they dont fall in love with it. If I could give the generations after me, anything, it would be a sense of genuine magic, and belief in things beyond science. Not for the sake of any religion, or stuff like that, but because I see people, and its like theyre missing a piece of their own humanity. A piece I cant explain to them with words. A piece that they should have. Not you, Monika, you get it. I know that from things you say sometimes. And I think also, for the reasons Einstein said. Yeah, he was a d-bag to his first wife. I didnt like that. But the man had his moments. Have a nice 2024 Monika and everyone!
As always I love your videos, they're always a great way to discover interesting movies , thank you for making them ! I recently watched "Perfect Days" I'm really curious if you heard about it, or watched it ! Personally I loved it, it really impacted me.
Didn’t like Priscilla. The filmmaking was amazing i just found Priscilla’s actual story to be kinda boring and pointless. I don’t feel like her story really mattered so much to have to be told in a form of a movie.
oh monster will absolutely destroy you, it's been a week and yet im still trying to figure out how to write down all of my feelings about it that Isn't just me shaking screaming and crying into the void -- i don't think i will ever stop thinking about it for the rest of my life HAHAHA

I know I'm 3 months late haha but I was just thinking about what a great year 2023 was for cinema so I decided to watch some people's top films from the year. I agree with some of your opinions but I would for sure put 'barbie' higher up personally.
I love hearing people talk about movies, more than watching movies myself.
Oh i haven’t but it sounds lovely! I’ll give it a watch
I really like ypur taste in cinema I didn't start upon making my list yet but I could see us sharing a lot of movies, I couldn't help but notice your obsession with ghibli and I COULDN'T FEEL MORE CALL VALIDATED WITH THIS, some of my friends already watched The Boy and the Heron and they didn't like it that much but I'm watching it tmrw and I'm super excited though i didn't finish all miyazaki filmography but I'm planning to watch the rest in japanuary.. just discovred your channel and I'm definitely watching all of your vids

there were so many good ones this year! happy new year to you too 💕
I was hoping you‘d put out this video 💫 great recs as always
1. The Boy and The Heron
2. Asteroid City
- Oppenheimer
- Priscilla
- The Iron Claw
- May December
- Past Lives
- Barbie
I talk a LOT of smack about biopics so I never would have guessed that 3 of them would be in my favourites of the year.
Going into 2024 with this channel!
edit: the font color matching Saltburn the whole time is deliciously sinister 😂😂
I didn’t see many movies this year, but from the ones I saw my favorites were:
5) John Wick 4
4) The Holdovers
3) Godzilla Minus One
2) Oppenheimer
1) Across the Spider-Verse
Please moni, if you haven’t yet, plz see Godzilla Minus One. Japanese cinema rules and that film blew me away!
I agree, Godzilla Minus One was so good. It's a Godzilla movie for people who don't like Godzilla movies. It reminded me a bit of Yasujiro Ozu.
That was a really helpful list. Those all sound like movies I would actually be interested in watching. How do you make your mini cards?
Your intro was 😍😍😍
First video of yours I watched! great recap (:
What a great list! I've been waiting a long time to see Past Lives especially. Hopefully soon. Anyway, Happy New Year to you and all the best!🥳♥️🙏
Fantastic choices! Also peep the Sofia Coppola archive at the back 👀👀
Highly recommend The Zone of Interest! It's my favourite movie of the year.
On my watchlist!
kept waiting for saltburn :,( great list though! definitely still need to watch a few!
Oh my gosh you must watch Monster!!! It was my favourite of the year, with Past Lives a close second
Back to back amazing years for film now, hopefully it can continue in 2024. Anyways here’s my top 10:
10. The Boy and the Heron
9. John Wick 4
8. May December
7. Poor Things
6. The Holdovers
5. Killers of the Flower Moon
4. Barbie
3. Past Lives (This film made me ugly cry in a theatre full of only old, so a 10/10 movie experience)
2. Oppenheimer (Truly a cinematic achievement, Nolan is just a master and this is one of his best, could easily be number 1 on a rewatch)
1. Across the Spiderverse (The first one is great, but this just took it to another level. Both one of the greatest superhero- and animated films of all time imo)
Honourable mentions: Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3, Godzilla Minus One, Air, How To Have Sex and MI7
Past Lives and Saltburn over Barbie? That's travesty.
If yall liked Past Lives PLEASE watch Of an Age! An amazing Australian film that’s getting slept on
Adding to my watchlist
Pretty good list Monika! Happy new year 🎉
So glad to see asteroid city here! People aren’t giving that one enough love
I have to agree with Variety on Asteroid City, it's visually beautiful but I didnt feel emotionally connected to the characters at all. I loved Barbie and Oppenheimer too though, Ken's storyline in Barbie was 👌
I still need to see Priscilla and The Holdovers!
I only watched like 6 movies but still it’s sooo good and anyone who hasn’t watched it should check it out
I definitely added it to my watchlist!
1. Oppenheimer
2. Across the SpiderVerse
3. The Boy and the Heron
4. Killers of the Flower Moon
5. Beau is Afraid
6. Dead Reckoning
7. John Wick: Chapter 4
8. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
9. Elemental
10. Air
Nice list and a good reminder I got to watch more movies. Only 3 in your top 10 I saw😅
Also iron claw was good but depressing af.
What filter did you use for this video? It looks so pretty ❤
Priscilla is my #2 as well. Such a beautiful film and I’m so sad it’s not getting the recognition it deserves.
Happy 2024! My top movies of 2023 would be Past Lives because i love Korean movies and Korean culture and The Boy And The Heron cause i love Studio Ghibli! Only other movie i can think of is Evil Dead Rise!
Ohh i didn’t watch evil dead rise, i should gove ot a chance!
If you like films about Korean culture, you might want to check out "Riceboy Sleeps". It's about a young, single mother from South Korea trying to raise her son in Vancouver.
I haven’t seen most of these movies but this is something that I’m going to fix. Past lives, Priscilla… you’ve convinced me to most of them
the boy and the heron was truly probs my fav movie of 2023
Omg first ❤ and happy new year monika🎉🎉
Happy new year!!🫶🏼
Your list is sooo much better than that one youtube movie review guy. You know the one... With the red background and leather jacket.
It was a surprisingly great film year, despite starting a bit slow. This is my top 10:
#1 Past Lives
#2 John Wick: Chapter 4
#3 Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
#4 Oppenheimer
#5 Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning part one
#6 The Eight Mountains
#7 Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game
#8 The Holdovers
#9 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem
#10 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Honorable Mentions:
Missing
Women Talking
Linoleum
Knock at the Cabin
True Spirit
Tetris
Living
No One Will Save You
I still have a lot I haven't seen yet, including Godzilla Minus One, Dream Scenario, May December, and some that are only released next year here in Scandinavia like 'The Boy and the Heron' and 'The Zone of Interest'.
I did like Suzume a lot but I guess there were TOO MANY great movies this year. It’s probably in my top 20 though!
@cinemoni yeah agree, so many great films in your list that I agree with. Happy new year Monika! hope next year you accomplish everything you set out to do and continue to share your love of films with us ❤️
aaaaaaaa you're so cuuuttte your room is soooo beautiful I'm gonna cryyy 😭😭😭
Monster it is one of my favorite films of this year, easily on my top 5. I think you are going to love it
keep doing what ur doing!!! happy new year!
thank you! Happy new year🫶🏼
I think our list would be very similar with Godzilla Minus One, Priscilla, and Anatomy of the Fall would be in my top 3. I still have yet to watch past lives:(
I truly can not stop thinking about Past Lives, it impacted me so much!!
I felt the same response. Who hasn't ever paused to consider the crucial turning point in their life that took place without them fully realizing it. Nevertheless, the one film from this past year that I still think about every day is "The Quiet Girl".
That 'Priscilla' font, though 💯 very Sofia Coppola coded.
i havent seen past lives. godzilla minus one definitely at the top of my list, then poor things, oppenheimer, anatomy of the fall, the holdovers, john wick 4,first slam dunk movie, the maetro, saw x, and spider man across the spiderverse. i would highly recomment godzilla minus one. you can still catch it but its the black and white version that is showing now. its a homage to the 1954 film. i heard its only until feb 9
I'd recommend Wim Wenders' Perfect Days. It's my #1 entry
Thanks so much for making great videos this year. I love your content and enjoy watching your videos. Happy New Year and I hope that you continue to make great short films and one day make a feature film. I will 100% watch it.
My favourite movies of the year are:
5. MI 7
4. Nimona
3. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
2. Oppenheimer
1. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
goddamn just found this channel and the intro is the cutest thing I've ever seen
Great Video Monika
The movies on your list that I have not heard of before look very interresting
Great recomendations!
My favourite movies of 2023 are…. 🥁
(First I need to mentione that I have not yet seen ”the boy and the heron”
I am a huge Miyazaki fan so I will see it on Blu•ray)
Now! My top 3:
🥇Guardians of the Galaxy vol.3
🥈Barbie
🥉Mission Impossible: Dead reckoning part 1
Honorable mentions:
Oppenheimer
Dungeons & Dragons
A haunting in Venice
Little Mermaid
Have a Happy New Year Monika!
🩵🩷💚💛💙💜🩵🩷💜💛🩵
I haven’t seen some of the films on your list yet! Happy new year!!🫶🏼
This Channel’s Artistic Intelligence … thanks sincerely
And ...that's a subscribe. Great job!
Certainly, see Dream Scenario and also from the Director Sick of Myself.
Poor Things from the director Dogtooth.
Astriod City, binge a punch of Wes Anderson films.
_Happy New Year_
Good taste 😊😌
Have you watched detachment? What did you think about it?
HAPPY NEW YEAR FOLKS 💃🏼🪩💕
Same to you!
Highly agree with Priscilla
Past Lives at #1 - yup, that seems right 💯
She is back 🤍
My top 10 movies of 2023 are:-
Across The Spider-verse
Oppenheimer
Killers of The Flower Moon
Holdovers
Anatomy of A Fall
The Eight Mountains
Fallen Leaves
Poor Things
The Boy and The Heron
Past Lives
i recommend wonka , it is truly amazing and fun
I thought past lives was average, I don't really see why it's best picture level. At the very beginning they tell you she cries over nothing, she's too emotional, so when she cries at the end.... she's just being overemotional.
However now I want to see Anatomy of the Fall
My favorite movie of the year was spiderman across the spiderverse .... and I feel so bad that I don't think it's gonna be nominated for best picture
I hope you get to watch them soon!! I liked All of us strangers (bring tissues!)😭❤️
THE SOFIA COPPOLA BOOK OMG
As always I love your videos, they're always a great way to discover interesting movies , thank you for making them !
I recently watched "Perfect Days" I'm really curious if you heard about it, or watched it ! Personally I loved it, it really impacted me.
unpopular opinion: on the rocks was better then beguiled, somewhere, bling ring, nyc ballet, lick the star and murray (obv)
Happy New Year everyone!
How many 2023 releases have you seen, total?
have you watched bottoms? it's kinda out there but it's so funny like pitch perfect!!
"This whole movie looked like the Cheesecake Factory and I think that's amazing..."
Didn’t like Priscilla. The filmmaking was amazing i just found Priscilla’s actual story to be kinda boring and pointless. I don’t feel like her story really mattered so much to have to be told in a form of a movie.
the fact that i haven't seen past lives yet kills me
What are you going to do with the little cards!?
oh monster will absolutely destroy you, it's been a week and yet im still trying to figure out how to write down all of my feelings about it that Isn't just me shaking screaming and crying into the void -- i don't think i will ever stop thinking about it for the rest of my life HAHAHA
Best movie 2023 .....The First Slam Dunk .... is Japanese animation...🏀
i agree with you
Why you have a picture of All of us Strangers in your wall if you dont have it in your top 10 or even top 14
I went to the LA premiere and they gave it to me there
I loved the Barbie movies was very good
