Amazing to listen to my favorite works of the cello rep interpreted by Shafran. Just found his 1965 rendition the Suite Populaire Espanol by De Falla. Beyond words, particularly Asturiana at 7:30: ua-cam.com/video/pSmbJy33lFY/v-deo.html
My wish now is to find a recording of Shafran playing the Matthias Monn cello concerto in g-minor!
