TTC H4 Ride from Bloor-Yonge to Old Mill

Board a westbound TTC Bloor-Danforth Line H4 train at Bloor-Yonge Station and ride to Old Mill Station, then watch the westbound H4 depart as an eastbound H6 arrives and then departs.
Built in 1975, car 5651, featured in this video from December 13, 2011, would continue to operate for only six more weeks, as it was part of the last H4 train on January 27, 2012.

So sad these days are gone. It was good to see a variety of rollingstock on the Line 1 and 2 before pre TR days. I remember catching the Hawkers back in 2010 and currently in Toronto, so all single rollingstock on each line. TTC will never be the same without them

This is a very quality video considering it was recorded in a time where video cameras were just developing more.

I was very lucky to have chosen that camera when I was in the market to buy one. The Sony HDR-SR12 was ahead of its time and performed well for many years. It still works, although I'd prefer to shoot in 4K now, so it really proved to be a great investment.

I prefer the G1, M1, H1, H2/3, and H4 over T1s and TRs. Wood paneling and padded seats! way better than today's hard seats and white walls!
if only today's fleets could bring back what the H4s had!

they are all scrapped after rejection from Nigeria for their ekorail projects

The majority of the H4 fleet is scrapped with a few cars remaining in the subway in work car service.
