    0:00 - Introduction
    1. 5:55 What are your thoughts on divorce and remarriage for Christians? Is it biblical?
    2. 15:33 What are your thoughts about the Covid vaccine, and about following other government mandates or laws?
    3. 22:52 What do you think of women in positions of Christian leadership?
    4. 24:39 Is it o.k. for Christians to live in prosperity? How prosperous is too prosperous for a Christian, when it comes to possessions? Should Christians sell all that they have?
    5. 29:05 How can we share the gospel to gay friends? Do you believe there is such a thing as a "gay Christian" that continues to act on their temptations? If someone is currently in a gay marriage, should they divorce, or stay committed to the marriage?
    6. 44:01 What does Pastor Mike think about Nate and Sutton’s channel?
    7. 45:47 Why do we worship on Sundays when the 10 Commandments talk about the Sabbath and even Jesus kept the Sabbath?
    8. 49:49 What is your perspective on the practice of speaking in tongues? Is that gift for today? And what do you think about people who say if you don't speak in tongues, you don't have the Holy Spirit?
    9. 54:57 When it comes to our giving, is there a specific percentage Christians are supposed to tithe or give?
    10. 1:02:37 How did Satan have the ability to sin before the fall, and how did sin come to exist?
    11. 1:05:21 Why should we pray for unbelievers to be saved when God already has His “Elect” chosen?
Here's Nate and Sutton's channel. I had a great time with them but also think that they have valuable content that is helping people know and follow Christ. Check them out! ua-cam.com/channels/dY3Sgxm_ay3bu_lk70zL0w.html

Question two was certainly unexpected. I have certainly chafed under what I believe are arbitrary and capricious edicts disseminated in the name of public health and safety (calling it "The new apartheid of non-essential"). I think you handled them all well. I found no disagreement with any, nor did I expect to as you've been fairly, if not, unwaveringly, consistent these past few years.

All do respect to this couple and with love this is why discipleship is so important. These questions are easy to answer if you just study your Bible. Also when a new believer accepts Christs . Teaching them about the flesh and the spirit continuing to battle, Sanctification, spiritual warfare, meaning of being born again and regeneration, the love of money, Justification, and being sealed by the Holy Spirit, also testing if you’re in the faith, which is Christ in you. We are crucified with Christ, nevertheless, we live, but not us that lives Christ that lives through us.

I and so many of my sisters in the Lord struggle with finding a biblical answer for where to draw the line (I can only confidently say we as women aren’t to be head of the church). It’s hard to find the application because of how we do church today. We want to bless others with our gifts but above all we truly just want to honor the Lord and do it God’s way. Truly appreciate all the preparation and research Mike does in order to best answer these questions biblically.

I'm a woman and I do not agree with women being the hea dof the church. You can say i'm making generalization and not all women like this but I have to generalize because when we appoint someone we dont know fully about that person. Women have always been emotional and change their mind quickly. Women are impressionable. Women is more pretentious than men. There are a lot of reasons why The Bible says that woman cant be the head of the church. Women naturally have a lot of shortcomings compared to men. We just have to accept that our gender was the first one to ask man to eat the forbidden fruit. Hence why I said so.
I do not hate men and as Christians we should know that what we think is right is not actually right in the eyes of God. We are not wise and our heart is full of wickedness. If God wanted to so much for men and women to be equal, then He would've said so in the beginning. What we think progressive is a lot of times against the bible teaching. If women cant accept this then you should question yourself, do you wanna follow the bible or you wanna follow modern christianity? Women can lead another women but not the whole church.

As someone who has studied the matter in depth, I really appreciate your answer regarding women in ministry. In fact, I have come to the conclusion that the biblical case for women in all areas of church leadership is overwhelmingly stronger than the opposing view. But I love your honesty and humility, and that you're planning to study it further from all sides, especially since I suspect many simply align themselves with the "traditional" view without looking into it very deeply. It is certainly a gift that you've cultivated to a point of being able to clearly connect with real human beings - you do not simply hurl facts at a screen, but have the grace to recognise different circumstances and the complexities of the sinful nature of mankind. Regarding the remarriage topic, I don't know if this is an outlying situation, but: my dad left my mom like 12 years ago. He remarried. My mom felt convicted to stay committed to her marriage. My dad was tortured by his mistakes over those years, tried to move on and couldn't. Long story short, after hitting rock bottom, had a miraculous vision from God, telling him, among other things, to return to my mom. He didn't want to but did it anyway. They remarried and have never been so at peace and a blessing to others. All the Christians in her life told her to move on and think about herself. Fortunately, she didn't listen to them.

I don't care about anyone else's choices regarding it but I got upset with my church for politicizing the whole issue and started going to a church that doesn't have "rules." You are, automatically, in the wrong with that attitude.
      1) You are under that law of the land unless it forbids you to do what God has commanded.
      2) You are under the elders unless they are heretics.
Neither of those applies to mask wearing so you should submit to those who have authority over you and wear the mask. That is what the bible teaches us.
Then you used your bad theology as an excuse to leave the church where God put you! You are a schismatic and so condemned for that too.
You should repent, go back where you were and act like a proper Christian not a self centered rebel.

I can forgive, I can love, and I can embrace someone after they have sinned. But I will have a tough time trusting them in the future.

That has nothing to do with the gift of tongues. You do bring up an interesting issue from 2 Corinthians 12:4 that in paradise Paul heard "inexpressible words which a man is not permitted to speak." The idea is that when choosing to do or not do something on a biblically neutral subject (which masks are), the question is how does doing or not doing affect your ability to minister to others? Will they not listen to you because you wear a mask? Or will they not listen to you because you refuse to wear one?
On obeying or civil disobedience with government authority, I’m coming down on the right answer is how does it affect the people you are called to witness to? That might mean sometimes the mask wearing is the right option, other times it may not be.

Notice that Jesus did not say, "The Sabbath was made for the Jews" or after His resurrection He did not tell the new Christians to NOT keep the seventh day Sabbath. In fact that is what they did.... Its funny how we have no problem with the nine commandments, just the one. What did Jesus say..... "If you break the least of one these you have broken them all." How easy it is to twist some scripture to fit our traditions rather than live by the plain teaching of it all.

I appreciate so much Mike's spirit of grace and His focus on Jesus, valuing His Word and His redemption from sin. But I want to affirm that the blanket statement about the "tutor" being for the Jews, teaching disciplines through the law, only to lead to that law being disregarded doesn't even ground in good sense, and certainly isn't biblical as to the teaching of the perfection and unchanging nature of God.
I would urge Mike to do the in depth biblical research he did on the 7th commandment (where he is SO on point) with the 4th commandment also...trying to keep an open mind to the temptation, as mentioned here, to justify our traditions in our dismissing certain things.
As to the law at Sinai, the school master or tutor part was that it was given externally. The new Covenant is that this "law of the covenant" is now written internally, on our hearts. We do it, not out of compulsion, but out of love.
However, back to basics...sin is still the "transgression of the law"...and being a child of Israel or Abraham isn't about bloodline, but was always about a heart purified through a response of faith in God and His ability to make good in His Word...not of works...from Abraham to today...last any man, Jew or otherwise, should boast.
Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath...that's a big affirmation of it...the biggest in fact...and that Lordship and the specific nature of the seventh day of holy rest is seen clearly from Genesis to Revelation...if the Bible is the basis of our understanding.
Much love to Mike, this commenter, and all....

However, this does not erase God's Word when it gives specifics, or the authority of His commands. It is our sinful rebellion that shapes us to resist authority. But His law and authority are actually amazing...since HE, God Himself, is so good and trustworthy.
Matters like tithe, the Sabbath, being made male or female, health laws spelled out in the Bible, definitions and limitations of church, the non-requirement of the Mosaic laws leading up to Jesus (as distinct from the Ten Commandments that are God's eternal Covenant with His people)...all the precise, detailed things the Lord has, yes, spelled out for us...in dealing in family life, towards the government, in finance, health, business ethics, education, etc. Yes, each word of God is pure, true and endures forever. Even the details! Is this oppressive? Only if we are thinking we have to do it all legalistically. But if we have died to self and thrown our helpless, broken selves on Jesus, then these things are all of His lavish provisions, which HE will work through us, by His grace poured into our lives through the Holy Spirit.

Mike, oh my gosh! The Ten Commandments were given to ALL mankind, not just the Jews. The Ten Commandments are NOT part of Moses’ 613 ordinances, that were given only to the Jews. The Sabbath was first sanctified (made holy) at creation long before there were any Jews. Jesus NEVER said to worship on Sunday instead of Sabbath. Let’s just follow Jesus and what He did! Let’s follow ALL ten of the commandments, not just nine!

The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Jesus is the Sabbath, not a certain day of the week. Keeping the Sabbath is worshiping the Lord any day or to some every day. We are not judged with respects to a certain day, nor are we judge for not keeping religious festivals. We keep the Sabbath when we set time aside to worship God, wherever whenever. Even with this said, the Lord still calls us to fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

@@heymichaelc Then why does God say to keep s SPECIFIC day, the seventh day, if He meant any day is the correct day? Where do you get this idea of a floating Sabbath in the bible that you can make it whatever day you want?
That is correct that we are not to judge anyone for keeping religious feasts and festivals, because those were Moses' 613 ordinances. However, we are judged on God's 10 laws including the Sabbath. We are judged on that.

@@aerodave1 Still being nurtured off your mother’s milk I see, needing to be taught all over again, sure your not Jewish? Let me guess you fast twice a week and give a tenth of everything you make. If your piety requires you to observe a certain day, then who am I to judge. As for myself I am free to worship on any day, whenever wherever.
” Therefore, let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.”
I’ll repeat Jesus is the Sabbath all summed up. To those that are living in disobedience there is no Sabbath day or rest that will please God. For true worshipers will worship Him in spirit and truth. We are judge on the moral law, not specials days or specific sabbath days.

@@heymichaelc Jesus, indeed, is the center and meaning of every command of God. "You shall not kill." Jesus is the Life Giver." "Honor your father and mother." Jesus is our Creator and Origin. "You shall not steal." Jesus is our true Provider. Do not bow down and worship carved images. Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the only way to the Father. "You shall have no other gods before Me." Indeed, Jesus is the one and only God of the universe. And, like you have pointed out, Jesus is the essence of Sabbath, to whom we who are weary and heavy laden come for rest in His total and complete sacrifice for our sins.
But what you have added is that, now, every day is the Sabbath. This is not biblical teaching. This is a justification for those who wish to continue with pagan tradition to have worship on the ancient day of the sun, which is a substitute that humans (influenced by an enemy of God who is seeking to overthrow God's government, challenging His laws) have gotten used to doing rather than letting God define which day is for rest and special focus and which is for common gainful work.
God defined it. "The seventh" or, in English, "Saturday" is the biblical Sabbath.
You are right, Jesus is its deeper meaning.
But Jesus also is the One who gave the law and reaffirmed that He is Lord of that particular day...over which, at the end of time, we are to pray to be able to keep, even amid persecution that forces His disciples to flee.

I admire you so much for speaking truth on the fact that we don’t have to be tithing 10%! Of course we are supposed to give, even when it’s hard. My brother and his wife were missionaries in Cambodia for 25 years. They said that tithing is hardest on the poor and they did not believe in it. It opened our eyes. They were being supported by people’s giving and it would have been more secure for them to go with tithing. We support an orphanage that they personally know the people (Christian Cambodians) running it. Also give to other places like our church.

I was part of an online community (~20-30 people) and at one point I decided to say I was Christian, and that I was worried I might be called homophobic for my beliefs, one of the higher ups there told me essentially “you’d better not think everyone would call you homophobic” (though not it those words) and I think later that day someone argued with my beliefs on homosexuality saying I sound hateful, and that it would be better if I said “I don’t care what you do with your life” than “what you’re doing is a sin” so I argued back stating how homosexuality was a sin as anything else stated as a sin in the Bible was, and that if I truly hated them I wouldn’t care what they did in their life, a few minutes passed and I thought I should clarify once again, I don’t hate gay people, and I was banned
And the whole thing really made me realize I didn’t need it in my life
