Welcome back and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays! 1:20 It is pretty remarkable that DC 1 and 2 are on the same system, and not even that far apart in release. What devs were able to do with the console with a bit of experience is frankly stunning. 3:05 You kinda stumbled on a (slightly) hidden mechanic here. You see those little red pips above an enemy's health bar? They deplete one at a time when taking a hit. When they run out the enemy essentially enrages and becomes more dangerous. I can't remember if there are any hidden moves or Scoops related to this, but there might be? 10:54 There are things you can spectrumize to boost attack, but they are certainly more rare/expensive...don't forget you can spectrumize more than just those crystals! 27:30 Level-5 loves their fishing mini-games lol. Similarly to the first, there's a good bit of cool things on offer via fishing, if you have the time and patience. 34:20 Oh no lol. I think that moment you stepped away made you miss some important info about the bait you are meant to use here... 36:00 Glad you figured it out pretty quick on your own lol 39:35 Simpler times coupled with Japanese humor lol... 56:00 This whole thing is such a fun evolution of the georama mechanics from the first game. There's a lot of cool things to discover by being mindful of how you build. Though, it is pretty funny how casually they introduce the idea of time travel, lol...
It really is, DC1 feels like a very impressive PS1 game while DC2 feels like something in the middle of the PS2 era. I do still stand by, Silent Hill 2/3 are the prettiest games on PS2. With few other contenders. Good to know on the pips. I can't say where I will land on the fishing, but the 'fish breeding' is pretty fun if memory serves, and the contests are fun. So we'll see. Yea the time travel thing, while I guess being a bit casual. That was the true point as a kid where I got hooked. The idea of building something in the past, to then follow up on it in the future to different effects. I have the "love story" that you build and nurture in this game forever in my head because the concept is so cute. Making sure people grow up together, and everything. Certainly at this point, all the ingredients are coming together in the game.

Heads up, the game audio was pretty quiet in this one :)
It's fixed for the next video, I accidentally dropped an audio channel -10db and then only noticed at the end of the process. Alas!
