Hello, I have a question, I have an I5 4690 and a GTX 1050 ti and I want to upgrade with the rx 6500 xt but I don't know wich cpu I should get, can someone help me please ? (I prefer Intel but if the best is amd then I will take amd) (I also have my motherboard to upgrade whatever I choose because my cpu is pretty much the best my motherboard can accept so I'll have to change my ram btw because I have ram in ddr3)
The VRAM issue really affects higher end cards that have the capability to push higher quality textures. This doesn't really mess with low end cards as much because they wouldn't benefit from more memory because they are not fast enough to take advantage of the memory intensive textures/quality settings.
Doesn't matter they're games that are running at 1080P low settings and it's already eating up 6GB of Vram. This is the new norm as games become bigger and more graphically demanding.
Since few months ago 1080p gaming pcs became very affordable, for ~$600 you can buy a great 1080p high gaming machine which is also great for esport games where you need much more fps
Good to see that everyone is talking about the 5700XT. I made a video about it in December, saying how it will be the best GPU for price to performance in 2023 and it held its waters, good review btw!
As a 6500xt launch owner, it’s not great, especially since I was running a 1440p 165hz monitor, I now got a 1070 ti for 125 dollars plus shipping and it’s way better, I repurposed my 6500xt into a super cheap console like build and it sits under my tv, although it’s running pcie gen 3 cause of my budget for that system
I picked up a nice MSI Radeon Rx 6600 Mech for about $187 shipped and taxed. I think if you go the auction route, you can consider them in the sub $200 class
Turn SAM on nice UV/OV card pushes around a 2070 Super. 5700XT was a monster of a card sold it for a 6800 XT OC potential with these cards are pretty solid.
I still have a 5700xt Nitro+ that I got new right before the shortage and I still run it- I don't play a lot of newer games though so it does great for me at 1440p with a 4790k @ 4.8 (gpubusy shows perfect sync, no bottlenecking). My backup system has a 12600kf in it, but I need to get more RAM capacity for it, then it'll be my new rig- I do a lot of dev work and I need the 32gb I have with the 4790k build vs 16gb and even 32 isn't quite enough- I'm going for the balls though and getting 128gb, then I'll move 4790k build to secondary duty. It'll be a bitter-sweet day, I have a bit of a sentimental attachment to my primary build, I've had it for almost a decade now so retiring it will be a bit sad. That 12600kf is about 50% faster though, just need the cash and I'll get the memory I need- a few weeks off. I'm in a weird spot with my PC builds atm and min/maxing the builds is going to be a giant pain in the bum. I'm also a bit paranoid about getting into the guts of the 4790k build because it's kinda complicated with my fans & AIO setup.
Know multiple and I mean this quite literally, multiple folks who got the 5700 XT when it was new and not a single one of them kept the card because of how buggy and messed up the drivers were for the card. Not sure if it has finally been addressed or not but just that alone soured me completely away from any of AMD's 5000 series cards.
OnePlus is innovating backwards. I absolutely loved my OnePlus 3, it's the best phone I've ever had. Did the mistake of replacing it with a much newer one for twice the price and didn't feel nearly as good and had so much unnecessary shit on it. For example: Six cameras, only two of whom are worth using, the rest is garbage you pay extra for. I can recommend their older phones if you're lucky enough to find them used.
Yay. Yeah I decided on just making a budget-budget PC instead of going for all that. I have a 4K screen I use everyday and would love to play 120hz on it, but the price to do that is just not what I’m interested in, so I turned back the other way and will just get a nice cheap one that still allows me to PC game However I’m also looking to expand my ability to use productivity things like Davinci, blender, UE5, etc. People using their PCs for this kind of thing is only getting more common, so I think it would be great to see some quick comparisons thrown in for the people who will use their PCs for that as well I will now do some research to see if the rx 5600 is on par with the 2060 super in this regard or if they are substantially different Cheers!

If I were you I'd wait to find a 6700xt with a good deal bcoz the perf. uplift from a 580 would be super high and 12gb of vram is welcomed

I would of picked the 3050 8gb instead of the 6500xt
Hey Zach & all, I just bought a used rtx 2060 super, um using it with Corsair cx 450 watt Psu. no aio, I3 12th Gen cpu, Um Using 68% power Limit From Msi Afterburner. I Really To know will My pc be safe???
EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 SC GAMING 129.00 on EVGA B Stock
Yo I got a basically new GTX 1080 for 180€ (the usual price in Slovenia is like 300€)
I've got a 5700 xt for 212 new but 1 fan is it worth it ?(same price as rx 6600)
the only reason im not going for a 5700xt is cuz i need a better psu so an extra 50-60$ for a psu so id rather go for a 6600
Is it worth it if I buy a 6650 xt for 250$?
I got mine from a miner. it cost 60ish$ but damn the io shield is rusted but atleast it was cleaned and placed a fresh thermal paste n pads. My complaint is that it is rusted.
Why does the 6500 xt have less FPS than the 5700
today:
5700xt used
6600
6650xt used
arc a750/580
Cries in 1070 tears ... *that was bought mid crisis* ... and cost more than a new 6600 does now.
What are you smoking
Not anymore 200 dollars thing here in Bangladesh...
why do mfs always put they sponsor portions at the beginning. idgaf who sponsored you im just here for the info
Are you from pa. If so what area
Good to know my 6600 is doing its job well
Kinda funny to advertise a 500$ phone to people trying to build 200$ PCs
1080ti would have been a better choice than 6500xt
