I not exactly religious, so I don't quite get believing in a higher being. But I believe the Pope's humanity and compassion comes from within. It doesn't take religion to make a good person; that comes from you. The Pope chooses to be this kind and caring figure so that he can be a voice for a larger group of people, and I find that so admirable.
