I have a new saying I just started to repeat to myself, and I feel like I kind of came up with it myself. "Everything has a way of working, and everything has a way of working better." Basically when doing anything, I try to find a way to make it work, then try to do it that way until it becomes easy or natural. Like a flow state or path of least resistance type of thing. Then from there I experiment until I find a better path, reiterate or improve the process. Eventually I feel like I've not only mastered this thing, but I've improved the process so much that I make it look easy. There is always a better way. Don't settle or be content with merely repeating the processes you already do.
Hi, you should read The Toyota Way, their continuous improvement philosophy is very similar to what you are saying and the best I’ve come across. Thanks, Iain
