Mansion Abandoned since ww2 in Northumberland

- This is an Abandoned mansion in Northumberland with a gothic castle tower. It was built between 1787 and 1790 and had many well off families living here including counts. It is falling into disrepair inside but still has some very nice features including a gothic style castle tower which you get stunning views of Northumberland from. Sash windows throughout and tudur style doorways and porches, it was apparently used during ww2 and still has maps up from that time. We found old catacombs in a basement area with dates from 1817. Explored with kyle
A lot of these sort of places were absolutely hammered for taxes in the late 40's and 50's. Many were abandoned, and had their roofs removed to avoid paying the taxes.....
This is the Ewart Park mansion! It's about 52 miles South East of Edinburgh Castle! Ten miles west of the shoreline! Google Earth Pro reveals two guys sitting in the tower roof area smoking a joint and talking about Sadie McSpadden and how they hope to be the first to get her in..............! I love GOOGLE EARTH PRO! You can go anywhere!
just popped up to the beach today and theyve eventually took down the half moon old pub, luckily i had a look in before it was took down . a shame to see it go

Been there before and a local farmer took our registration number then police phoned us the next day saying were not allowed back in the area
I've heard he comes out with a shotgun so you were lucky haha

Could always just ask the farmer, he can only say no

@@geordieurbex2200 Yeah it's a shame that. I've wanted to visit for a while now. Last time I saw pics of this place the explorer and his friends had their cars parked right outside the door.
@@ShibbyJay can't do that now the farmer right next to it has closed all the gates, we parked further up nd went through the woods
@@geordieurbex2200 I thought it must be blocked when I saw that you walked up. It's a nice place that. Surprised someone hasn't sought to renovate it.

would not recommended! took my registration and has given it to the police.
Police won't do anything, your on a public road to get there, and trespass isn't a criminal offence

Trespass isn't a criminal offence and we don't burgle thanks
@@geordieurbex2200 Generally yes but there is also an offence of criminal trespass now. Entering any property without permission as a trespasser constitutes burlary. Example enter a shop and steal something out of the fridge or off the shelves is theft go behind the counter or into the storeroom and steal its burglary. If you did not have express permission of the properties owner to be there you could be on very shaky legal grown
@@mrobserver474 if you enter a building without breaking in and without carrying tools to break in you haven't committed a criminal offence only a civil offence
