@@scuchtern4849 salvaging an item at the blacksmith automatically gives you the aspect. And you never lose it. You can apply it at that rank as many times as you want. When you get new gear that has that same aspect but a better version of the aspect, well when you salvage that piece you know have it forever. Even better if you go to sell or salvage equipment the game automatically will “mark” an item letting you know if it’s an aspect you don’t have or if it’s an upgraded version of your aspect.
Ok I needed this. New to game and thinking i was going crazy bc I couldn't extract Aspect at the Occultist. Thank you! But you can still only use an extracted aspect one time, right? If you put it on a item... that's it? And if you ever want it again you need to find ANOTHER item with that same aspect on it? Do I have that right? Lol sorry I'm new
What is considered "the best version"? If an item can give a 30%-60% buff to X, does salvaging a legendary with the 60% count as "the best version" of that affix?

That is great, so we no longer have to sacrifice the materials that we would gain from salvaging the item if we extracted the aspect; now we get both.
on ps4 what does the fraction in the corner of the aspect mean in the codex of power? sometimes it says 2/16 or 8/16 or 2/11?
