I am a new subscriber to you tube. I just recently bought a 2015 CRF250L. I haven't ridden a dirt bike in about 20 yrs. and when I saw the bike at the shop I was so impressed I had to have one. It's kind of a long story but I used to have a 1988 XR 600R. The torque was unbelievable but it was too big in the tight trails. This bike is a great all-around bike. However, just like my 600 when it was new, the exhaust is very restricted. After watching your video on your fmf install with the EJK I decided that my bike needed the upgrades. I installed the full exhaust with the EJK and a K&N air filter. Holy cow what a difference!! I also got the 13 tooth front sprocket and that is just what it needed to finish the task. It's still no 600 but wow what a difference! I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to do your videos. They sold me on the Q4 and Mega bomb package. In one of your vids you mentioned that the bike in stock trim was "boring" to ride on the street. That is absolutely the best way to explain the difference between stock and modified. I couldn't be more happy with my CRF! It really is a great bike. I think it's a little more of a dirt bike than a street bike but that is exactly why I bought it! Thanks again for the vids and enjoy your bike! Jerry
TheMissendenFlyer Hi I am having a blast with my bike. Such a fun bike to ride! I changed the front sprocket back to stock. After a few days of riding I think it takes away too much mph on the road. It would be better in tight trails but I ride to work everyday rain or shine.Just the other day I picked up a tail bag and absolutely love it. It fits perfect and looks great too. It's made by Wolfman luggage and it's the "wolf" tail bag. My buddy ordered the 'Peak" tail bag, which is a little smaller. They are really top of the line products. If you get a minute check 'em out. I'm sure they make something you might like for one of your bikes. Jerry

Hey TMF,.. got my FMF and EJK done on saturday and have had a few days to try it out,.. WoW!!! This 250l is not the same bike. Really glad i did it. Everything was so straight forward and quality was great. No tweeking with a hammer ;). Couldnt have done it tho without your videos of encouragement. I ended up putting the spark arrestor back in. Was almost too loud. Never thought id say that.
Yeah, I know it's a bit juvenile but we can't resist can we :0) I have to say this thing is LOUD (the video doesn't do it justice)....and I bought the quite pipe!!!
Not sure if anybody's mentioned it thus far, but in case it helps anybody here goes. When fitting the muffler white plastic heat shield, FMF actually supply a longer bolt to replace the one that came off (although this will still work). The thing to remember is to put the bolt in the reverse of how it came out, i.e. with the head of the bolt on the inside in the wheel arch and put the nut of the outside. This does away with the need to thread the bolt through and then carefully screw the heat shield to the metal bracket. This was taken from fmf's online instructions as I followed the video and thought it couldn't be right as pointed out by our host you cannot get to bolt the other way but by reversing it you can get a 12mm open ender on it and a socket on the inside with ease.
Thanks for making the effort uploading this. I am looking to purchase a bike to commute on. I am going to give this bike serious consideration. I really like everyhing about it. Along with the mods you have made it seems perfect.
Mark Goodman Hi Mark - glad it was of use. You really do have to make the mods if you go for one of these, as standard they are a little asthmatic.....with the mods, great bike...
Most install videos suck. Infact not alot of informative videos are any good. But your videos from the adventures to your tutorials are not only good but one of the reasons i bought my 250L. And definatly the drive to buy the FMF setup. Its in the mail now and this video has made me decide to do it myself and not the dealer. Even with warranty concerns. I cant see the dealer mounting up my EJK and being careful of my paint and what not. Ive watched this enuf times to do the install in my sleep. A+ videos. As always. And TMF,.. if you ever make up your own Vlogger decals at any point,. Let me know. Id be proud to sport your tag on my bike. Many thanks from across the drink.
+5kcsqt Wow, thanks for all the kind words of encouragement 5kcsqt - you'll love the difference the FMF makes, and it really is very easy to fit (if I can do it....). Hello, I have a 16' CRF250L as well. I'm about to buy this system, but many people complain that it does not come with an exhaust clamp. Did you receive a proper fitting exhaust clamp? If you could get back to me on the size of clamp you used that would be beyond great! Cheers!
Something that could be worth considering is smaller indicators, or perhaps no indicators at all if you are just using her for day and lane riding as long as you are comfortable with arm signals. When I took my bike out onto the lanes I accidentally broke my indicators off and it was kind of hard to get them home with no pockets or bag and covered in mud.
You are most welcome. I'd like to recommend Oxford LED Eyeshot indicators. I had them on my CBF125 and they are very bright, very clear. About £50 a pair and they come with the relays (or whatever the word is because my brain isn't working). Getting my license soon, Suzuki SV650S Waiting in my back garden for me C:
Don't be a victim of Mega Bomb burn!!! Eventually your pants will burn. I had to wrap mine because I prefer the look of the wrap over a heat shield on the Mega Bomb. I've done all the stage one mods and then some. This is a great one. Also the 13/42 sprockets really help!!
Too late! I've already got some burnt trouser marks on the mega-bomb!! ....13T front sprocket goes on tomorrow..... :0) Thanks for watching - ride safe - TMF
Bloody wicked sound! Im getting excited with my 250L also (though I have already bought a Yoshi RS 4 =( . Have you installed an EJK already or did you just let it all loose without Airbox mod and the EJK?
Hi Mark, I did ride it for a week or two without the airbox mod/EJK but have since done the mod/fitted the EJK (I have videos on both you may wish to check out).....I didn't want to run long term without the EJK as the mixture would be too lean and potentially damage the engine......enjoy!
Thanks for the vids, they're great. Out of interest, how much was the exhaust to buy ? Also, are you happy with the rear shock on your CRF250L ? Having lived in Thailand I saw lots of these bikes and the rear always looks low and very soft. Any thoughts ? I'm considering buying one now I'm back in the UK.
The header plus slip on came to £464...so far very happy with the rear shock, although I've not had the bike for long of course, and have ridden less than a thousand miles on her so far. I'm not imagining it will be an issue, certainly the on-line community (forums) don't major on it.....cheers for watching and ride safe! - TMF
nice job, but I wonder if the big black plastic thing (or part of it) around the old exhaust can be fitted on the FMF, or truly needs to go. I'd rather leave it as I sometimes mount side panniers on the little Honda, do you think it's possible?
Thank you for the helpful videos! I always take a peak at what you're up to on a project before making an attempt myself. I have the exact same exhaust, header, airbox mod, and EJK unit installed on my CRF - I was wondering if you've noticed quite a bit more exhaust and gasoline smell since installing everything. I used to be able to ride without the smell of exhaust sticking to my clothing, but not since installing the exhaust, header, and EJK unit. My EJK was pre-programmed from the factory for the specific modifications to the bike, but I think I may need to re-tune it and was just curious what your experience was. Thank you!
Hi Jesse - I hadn't noticed an increase in smell, how interesting! ...and like you I have just left the EJK in the stock settings for these mods from the factory, not played with it yet as all seems well! Thanks for watching and for the kind words, all the best - TMF
+Jake Nesbitt Thanks Jake - If I recall correctly it was direct from the US via their website...no issues with shipping at all. Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments - all the best - TMF
I am from Chile I am working on installing the exhaust that had the xr 250 r from (, year 1996 to 2001) in my crf 250 l, 2018 ,,, 2000, I have presented it on the motorcycle, it is going very well, just missing weld the escape curve.
...yes, but it's a fairly unreliable mod as far as I can make out, and it gets to a point where if you really want more power, just buy a more powerful bike!!
Love the vids man, watched them while modding my bike but few questions. How do I check for leaks? Did your exhaust smoke a lot when you first got it and can i get by with no high temp silicone? I kinda put the exhaust on before getting it, got it now and don't really want to take it off again if i don't actually have to.
Well if you don't have any leaks, don't worry about the silicone! (check by feel with your hands when the bike is running - cup your hands around the join (but don't touch!)...
Did u have any trouble lining up any of the bolts , I had issues with the mid pipe frame bracket and that bracket that holds the muffler plastic on. So much that I almost gave up and sent it back..... Lol. I got it finally but had to modify a couple things. Thanks for the video. 👍🏻
+treyh007 ....I didn't have any issues at all, maybe you had a duff one from manufacture??? Glad you got it sorted out, annoying when that sort of stuff happens, I feel your pain!
+TheMissendenFlyer I just got off the phone with FMF and it sounds like I didn't loosen the header up enough. I'll go back and try it again to see it that helps. Thanks for the quick response! Be safe, and a big so long from SETX! 👍🏻👍🏻
I don't know I'm afraid Simon but it is significant - of the order of if say the stock is 5kg, then the FMF is 2kg - it's that much of a difference...not only that but it really opens up the performance, well worth the (high) price...
cristian simpson Sure will - I ran without the EJK for a few months and the bike ran fine (in fact I noticed no difference when I added the EJK!!) - enjoy! - TMF
Are you still loving the noise level or is it offensive out in public? Thinking about a stage 1 set up and a very small dual sport community aground here to get a listen to the q4. Thanks
+Vermont Dualsport Yeah I love the sound, I've not had any issues with the locals with it but I do try and behave myself as much as possible (I kill the engine and coast past horses on the road silently for example)... Not quite sure where the "Q" comes into the Q4 though - "Not Q" would be more like it!! Great in traffic by the way....
Another great video, so much so I went out and bought myself a new CRF250L to add to the collection, loving it and it was your vids that swayed me so thanks for that. I have bought the same bark busters as you and the Oxford heated grips for the bike. Did you do a video showing the fitting on the CRF? If not any chance of any tips or advice fitting them to the CRF or a pic of the placement etc for the control unit? Thanks in advance for any help or advice..
@@TheMissendenFlyer Lol thanks for that, i did consider that myself.. I wondered if the bark busters needed any fettling to make them fit and where the Oxford control unit was best placed..
Hi TMF, big fan of your helpful tutorials, i have a CRF250M and i'm looking at fitting the Q4 and megabomb, my query is, are they both suitable for on road in UK? Would they pose any problems for MOT? any info would be appreciated. Many thanks, Gaz.
+Gareth Jones Hi Gaz, I suppose technically you could have a problem with noise at MOT time but when I recently spoke to my MOT man on the subject he said that he had heard bikes with much louder exhausts and they hadn't failed....so make of that what you will! My CRF isn't quite due for an MOT yet but I'm not anticipating any problems. I regard these pipes as very suitable for the road, especially if you're in traffic, I do subscribe to the "loud pipes saves lives" brigade! Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words, all the best - TMF
Hi. I see that you recommended an american website to buy the exhaust from. In that case did you order yours from the states, and if so did you get stung for import duty? Cheers.
Hi Phil, Yep - I did order mine from the US website, and if I recall correctly I didn't get stung on the doorstep for import duty (not sure why!)...don't blame me if you do though! :0) All the best - TMF
I just saw a vid about bernulli or that other Italian principle they use in carbs. Do power bombs follow same principles? I was about to mod my air intake but some people say It don't make any good. And the intake induction thing would sound like a duck
TMF. Besides the audible power gain. In all honesty does the bike perform better. example in higher top speed power? or loss with that power bomb low end torque curve?
Hi, I'm converting my CRF250R for road use, might have an issue at MOT time though if FMF Q4 is marked in any way like "Not for road use - track use only". Can you tell me, is the Q4 marked in this way?? Many thanks.
Nope doesn't have the ol' "Not for road use" marked on it - in fact it does say "Sound Compliant" and "Nature approved" - it's a US made pipe imported so it doesn't have the Euro-type approval markings.....
TheMissendenFlyer I've been trying to get an answer on this for days, tried the UK importers, can you believe they couldn't tell me - well the bod I talked to on the phone couldn't, even tried the manufacturers in America, still waiting for their reply 5 days later now you've answered the question in about 15 minutes!!! Big thanks, I'm off to the shop.
+Connor Feasel Hi Connor - thanks for the kind comment, and no, I'm afraid I don't know about the power difference between the two....other than I can't imagine it's much, the Q4 makes a very noticeable difference over the stock exhaust power wise though, a "must do" upgrade on the little CRF. Cheers for watching, all the best - TMF
Nice, except here in the states, you can't ride without the spark arrestor in any of our National Forests.... I have been stopped when I was riding my Yamaha XT250 by a forest service "guy" and he stuck a straight rod into the end of the exhaust to make sure it was there...I can see their point though, we have extreme fire "season" in the summer, the forests get quite dry...
Hi again Sam, yes I can see their point, and there's no real issue having the spark arrestor in place on the bike.....thanks for stopping by once again - TMF
Hi i would like to ask you one thing. Is this exhaust homologated? Is the sound bearable or it makes to much noise?i mean with the regular db killer in.What about the fuel consumption after this pipe?Stock it runs 30 km/litre,but what about this fmf and megabomb?Excuse me for the several questions,i really appreciate your videos.thanks in advance for the answer ;-)
Andrea Flamini Hi Andrea, I don't think the exhaust is strictly speaking road legal...depends what you mean about the sound being bearable, I like it, but it is loud if you're standing behind the machine at full chat! I noticed a small drop in fuel economy - between 5-10% I'd say (but generally speaking these machines a re very frugal anyway so to my mind that didn't matter given the boost in performance). Ride safe! - TMF
Very well done and enjoy watching your video sir. I recently put on a powerbomb header on my CRFL, plus the EJK w/extra air holes. It really made a huge difference, and was all made really easy by watching your videos. Cheers!
hey what is the DB level of the new muffler - the 2015 stock exhaust is 84db i know but to be road legal in australia it has to be under 96db - what is it reading with the fmf?
+TheMissendenFlyer yeah i mean as it is now it is a bit silent compared to mx bikes but if i can make it only 10db louder but i dont want to attract attention so the worst i would do is remove the catalytic converter - they dont test emitions here i dont think but even then i might wait for the warrenty to run out first
Yes that is true, have a hole burned in mine and the header is charred/black from the cloth :0) No issue without the heat shield (other than the burning pants!!!)
I like your garage floor. Can I ask what those tiles cost you over there? ... I priced them here in the USA for my garage and it was well over $3,000!!!
0:57 'right amount of back pressure'? Why would one want ANY back pressure? Surely the 'bulge' harnesses pressure pulses in the header to improve the performance.
Yeah she sounds great, no new fuel mapping yet but I'm researching the EJK controller, will likely get one of those installed soon - have you tried one??
No I kept the WR standard but put an Arrow can on my Triumph 800XC which needed remapping. Have the baffle out now and its quite loud! Fuel consumption not so good though.
Another nice video sir. I see you are gradually getting smaller in cubic capacity, perhaps you need to road test a Honda Grom (MSX 125) i here they're a real hoot! Seriously i'd love to see that. Keep the vids coming.
Hi Headscratcher - Actually I did have a look at one of these at the dealer, seriously nice little machine.....I'm not ruling it out! Thanks for the kind words, all the best - TMF
Is this road legal here in the UK? and did the insurance company accept it without any trouble? I have a Yamaha WR250X and I want to put a FMF slip-on, on the bike so any info would be much appreciated!
Now that you had the FMF and Megabomb on for a while, how is the sound? I'm thinking of going with it but I'm afraid I may be put off by the loudness. Do you find it annoying at times or do you settle in with it?
You settle in with it Henry, I love the FMF on the CRF, not only does it sound good but gives a noticeable power boost (at least it feels like it does - I've not actually dyno'd it)....
cristian simpson Thanks Cristian, I just used a dab of copper grease on the joint (as it's heat resistant)...thanks for your kind words, all the best - TMF
Hi, I've bought a new honda crf 250 m, my questions are All the 250L exhausts, mods etc, are compatible for my 250 m? If i change the exhaust on the honda garanty years, will i lose it? Thanks from Spain ! ^^
Privatel3oy Hi - Yes I'm 99% sure everything applies to the 250M as well, it's really only the wheel sizes that differ on the bikes, other than that all cosmetic......all the best - TMF
Hi! I've been watching your videos for a while now and I'm thinking of buying the 250l but i was wondering if you need the megabomb with the fmf. If you do, does it come with the FMF?
Hi Lukas - you buy the header pipe and end can separately. FMF make 2 headers (power bomb and mega bomb) and various end cans - I went for the Q4. IIRC you can't use the Honda header with the FMF end can so you do need to buy both - I'm not 100% sure though so best drop FMF a note and ask. Either way the exhaust transforms the bike though, a must do! All the best - TMF
GREAT VIDEO most of the install videos out there have bad quality or bad angle. By any chance would you happen to know if the Q4 is legal on Canada? Keep up the great work!:)
Was there any issue with bike after installed? I installed same Q4 wits powerbomb to my crf 250L 2016 when 500miles on the clock from new - and now engine occasionally stops when changing gears down during slowing down. Any idea why this happen?
+jarwicz Yes, I installed an EJK fuel controller - I have posted a video on it (don't have the link to hand I'm afraid as I'm answering this on my phone!).....
Diego Fumiato Huge difference Diego - by far the most significant mod I've done, transforms the bike from a meek commuter into a snarling beast! The difference in power delivery is quite startling....
greetings friend, buy a muffler FMF PowerCore 4 for my CRF250L 2014, and I lack the piece of metal that you have 8:28 to 10:30 minutes where I can buy into.
Hi TMF I've been looking into getting FMF q4 with mega bomb header and 13tooth front sprocket with EJK fuel controller. I've spoken to several bike dealers and there technicians and they don't think that the EJK is that important as when the exhaust is fitted they will remap through the ECU. What are your thoughts on this?
thank you for great video. from s.korea again. I made my mind to buy crf250l this saturday. may i ask one question to you?.... only fmf q4 or fmf q4 with megabomb. is there big different?
Hi again Changsoo, to be honest I don't know as I fitted them both at the same time! It's considerably more expensive getting the whole system so I hope it makes a significant difference!! :0) It certainly looks better with the header as well. Enjoy your new bike, they are great fun, exciting times ahead!!!

David Archibald which one can we get? I have the standard.
Would a powercore 4 slip on work? Just use the oem header?

Most excellent video mr Flyer, where did you purchase the fmf system from?
+Jake Nesbitt Thanks Jake - If I recall correctly it was direct from the US via their website...no issues with shipping at all. Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments - all the best - TMF
So how heavy was the original exhaust? Great video, thanks
I can’t remember - heavy that’s for sure!
I am from Chile I am working on installing the exhaust that had the xr 250 r from (, year 1996 to 2001) in my crf 250 l, 2018 ,,, 2000, I have presented it on the motorcycle, it is going very well, just missing weld the escape curve.
I here the 305 big bore kit makes a real power increase as well ,maybe something add as well.
...yes, but it's a fairly unreliable mod as far as I can make out, and it gets to a point where if you really want more power, just buy a more powerful bike!!
Do you think it's healthy for the engine to install the Q4 slip on only and the K&N air filter without the EJK in the long run?
Donde agarro la pieza metálica para instalar la tapa blanca plastica... O donde la compró me podrias decir por favor...?
+Super FunnyGuy You don't have too - but I did (via the installation of the EJK fueller).....
+TheMissendenFlyer the megabom has a omologation?
Great work and sound mate. Thanks for the tutorial.
Tutorial may be too strong a word but glad you enjoyed the video :0) Cheers - TMF
Did you have the EJK fitted in this video? If not, did you find the engine was running overly lean?
Thanks, Mike.
I have 2018 CRF 250 Rally. Stock. I’m doing the FMF Q4. ....Sounds better then all, in my opinion.
is that exhaust the Titanium one or Standard. looks great.
Hello I would like to buy this exhaust. Can the bomb interfere with the position on the bike? Is there a risk of burning your leg while riding?
Love the vids man, watched them while modding my bike but few questions. How do I check for leaks? Did your exhaust smoke a lot when you first got it and can i get by with no high temp silicone? I kinda put the exhaust on before getting it, got it now and don't really want to take it off again if i don't actually have to.
Well if you don't have any leaks, don't worry about the silicone! (check by feel with your hands when the bike is running - cup your hands around the join (but don't touch!)...
hey great video man, can u tell me what website you ordered them off of?
+Jack Van Thanks Jack - take a look here >> www.fmfracing.com/
great video i will b doing the same install soon cant wait. keep up the great work sir. View from California
Hi Andy - this mod transforms the bike into a beast! Enjoy...TMF
great sound!
***** Cheers - glad y'all approve :0)
Oh my god,that sounds sick!(thats a good thing )😉
I hope i can get that for mine in bangkok. Im getting the M not the L
Aha! See you beat me to this one....yeah, the FMF is the way to go (I ordered mine direct from the US)....
+treyh007 aha that would do it!
hallo.Ich habe Honda crf 250 l 2017. wenn ich eine Akrapovic-Replik montiere. Gibt es irgendwelche Nachteile für Motor und Leistung?
Great video
Can you tell me what the weight difference is between the FMF and stock exhaust
Cheers
I don't know I'm afraid Simon but it is significant - of the order of if say the stock is 5kg, then the FMF is 2kg - it's that much of a difference...not only that but it really opens up the performance, well worth the (high) price...
Hi TMF,
Have you left the spark arrester out and does it give any performance benefits leaving it out ?
Merry Christmas
Rich
+k7lco Hi Rich - I did leave the spark arrestor out, can't say I've noticed any difference! Cheers - TMF
Hi, I´ll buy the powerbomb, my question is, it will work without a EFI controller?
cristian simpson Sure will - I ran without the EJK for a few months and the bike ran fine (in fact I noticed no difference when I added the EJK!!) - enjoy! - TMF
Great video, thanks for the effort!
No problem Joshua - thanks for the kind remark!
Aftermarket exhausts are grin factor 10. I put a black widow blue tip on my GSXS 750....wow, LOUD, LEGAL and SEXY.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice..
..Hi Steve - actually I got a local bike mechanic to fit mine (sorry!!)...
Should i get ejk? Or with the afr be normal with stock tune?
Is there a heat shield of some form available for the megabomb? I find it too easy to BBQ my right leg!
I don't think so....
Hello could you provide a link to purchase the bracket you have to fit the white plastic over the top please ?
M’fraid not…
:0) All the best - TMF
cool video man.. do you know if this would fit the crf250M ?
Yes it would....
Dose the FMF Q4 & Megabomb breath better than the pre2017 stock exhaust system? What about the post 2017 exhaust comparison mean?
No idea...
I just saw a vid about bernulli or that other Italian principle they use in carbs. Do power bombs follow same principles? I was about to mod my air intake but some people say It don't make any good. And the intake induction thing would sound like a duck
Well I modded mine and it sounds fine....
Does aluminum guard handle the minute 8:32 fmf powercore4? Thank you
Hello, You recommend the exhaust pipe for long trips or It is very noisy? Thanks you very much.
It is very noisy - but then this isn't really a long trips type of bike for me....
What's the longest distance that you have ridden the CRF with the FMF installed? Did the sound ever get annoying?
Probably no more than 30 miles, and no the sound wasn't an issue (but I imagine would be on a long long journey)....
TMF. Besides the audible power gain. In all honesty does the bike perform better. example in higher top speed power? or loss with that power bomb low end torque curve?
Certainly feels much faster....
thanks for the video it really helped me install it.
+Cheesypotato24 Glad to be of assistance!
TheMissendenFlyer
I've been trying to get an answer on this for days, tried the UK importers, can you believe they couldn't tell me - well the bod I talked to on the phone couldn't, even tried the manufacturers in America, still waiting for their reply 5 days later now you've answered the question in about 15 minutes!!! Big thanks, I'm off to the shop.
Pete Whitby Glad to be of service.....
Awesome video very smooth, You know much about the performance difference between your Q4 and the PowerCore? Besides the PowerCore being more loud.
Cheers!
***** Great stuff Ty, glad you found the videos of use - transforms the bike these mods don't they? All the best - TMF
hey what is the DB level of the new muffler - the 2015 stock exhaust is 84db i know but to be road legal in australia it has to be under 96db - what is it reading with the fmf?
+michael phillips I don't know what the numbers are but I doubt it will be officially road legal in Aus......it's very loud
+TheMissendenFlyer yeah i mean as it is now it is a bit silent compared to mx bikes but if i can make it only 10db louder but i dont want to attract attention so the worst i would do is remove the catalytic converter - they dont test emitions here i dont think but even then i might wait for the warrenty to run out first
Hello sir, some says their pants burns with the mega bomb header, is it true? Is it uncomfortable with out heat shield?
Yes that is true, have a hole burned in mine and the header is charred/black from the cloth :0) No issue without the heat shield (other than the burning pants!!!)
I like your garage floor. Can I ask what those tiles cost you over there? ... I priced them here in the USA for my garage and it was well over $3,000!!!
I can't remember exactly what it cost - it came on a roll from Costco, I think my garage was about £450 (so maybe $1000 US)???
Oh, that's a roll? .. I thought it was the interlocking floor tiles. They are awesome but are expensive.
How do you take out a spark arrestor?
No header gasket?
0:57 'right amount of back pressure'? Why would one want ANY back pressure? Surely the 'bulge' harnesses pressure pulses in the header to improve the performance.
Sounds much better, did you have to have new fuel mapping?
I have a Yamaha WR250X and I want to put a FMF slip-on, on the bike so any info would be much appreciated!
...as far as I'm aware, it's not stamped that it isn't and I passed my MOT no problem - no issue with the insurance company either...
Thanks for the info, much appreciated!
Do you happen to recall having a rough time starting the bike when the exhaust was first installed?
Nope, no problems that I recall....
Honda need to sort them indicators out. I did 100 miles to the Yorkshire coast and the exhaust melted one. Top bike though 👍
I have a juvenile question. Do you not need to add a fuel programmer to adjust the mixture with the aftermarket exhaust?
Ideally yes - hence see my other video on installing the EJK fuel programmer here >> ua-cam.com/video/Gn1C14XW8zI/v-deo.html
+TheMissendenFlyer but why, it's just an exhaust...
do you have any stalling issues because of that?
Hi, great video, what grease did you put?
cristian simpson Thanks Cristian, I just used a dab of copper grease on the joint (as it's heat resistant)...thanks for your kind words, all the best - TMF
Hi, I've bought a new honda crf 250 m, my questions are
All the 250L exhausts, mods etc, are compatible for my 250 m?
If i change the exhaust on the honda garanty years, will i lose it?
Thanks from Spain ! ^^
Privatel3oy Hi - Yes I'm 99% sure everything applies to the 250M as well, it's really only the wheel sizes that differ on the bikes, other than that all cosmetic......all the best - TMF
Hello mate love your vids, informative and to the point! Do you have a link for the full system you installed in the video 🤔
M'fraid I don't no.....just google FMF and you should find it....
@@TheMissendenFlyer yeah I’ve looked and its out of stock 🙄 wanna sell yours 🤔😂
I’ve sold the exhaust and the bike!
@@TheMissendenFlyer dammit 🙄 if you know anyone selling one I’ll buy it 👍🏻
Ok, good to know. Thanks!
+Lukas Stinson you're very welcome....
Love all your videos, but I suggest you buy a heater for your garage.... Looks like it's freezing in there.
Thanks for the tip!
Did you upgrade the fuel module too? Or can you run the same settings as before?
+James Doble Yes - I fitted an EJK fuel controller - I have a video up on that mod too ;0)
+TheMissendenFlyer Awesome, thanks for the quick response and the help installing this when it arrives! :)
+James Doble No problem - enjoy!
GREAT VIDEO most of the install videos out there have bad quality or bad angle. By any chance would you happen to know if the Q4 is legal on Canada? Keep up the great work!:)
I don't honestly know Mathieu, it seems to be in the UK! Thanks for watching and for the kind words - TMF
Was there any issue with bike after installed? I installed same Q4 wits powerbomb to my crf 250L 2016 when 500miles on the clock from new - and now engine occasionally stops when changing gears down during slowing down. Any idea why this happen?
+J Y My bike used to do this before the recall - has your bike been back for that? (Search crf250l recall for details)....doesn't do it now...
Good video, very informative, well done.
Thanks very much Scaniadave, glad you approve :0) Stay tuned for more soon!
Hi, did you remap your EFI after installing new exhaust and megabomb? Ive read somewhere that it needs to be done
+jarwicz Yes, I installed an EJK fuel controller - I have posted a video on it (don't have the link to hand I'm afraid as I'm answering this on my phone!).....
I did find your video about the EJK after Ive posted this. Thanks for all the videos mate, very informative!
Hey TMF! Did you also change the gearing by any chance or left it stock? And, which fmf header would you recommend for highway cruising? Cheers!
I've gone to a 13 tooth sprocket on the front and went with the power bomb header.....
TheMissendenFlyer why did you not want to keep the megabomb header
You find any difference in the performance or just cosmetic ?
Diego Fumiato Huge difference Diego - by far the most significant mod I've done, transforms the bike from a meek commuter into a snarling beast! The difference in power delivery is quite startling....
Do you think it could take a backie a short distance?
Yes, I know it can!
greetings friend, buy a muffler FMF PowerCore 4 for my CRF250L 2014, and I lack the piece of metal that you have 8:28 to 10:30 minutes where I can buy into.
Miguel Valenzuela Hi Miguel - Mine came from FMF with the exhaust, worth giving them a try via their US website?
Hi TMF
I've been looking into getting FMF q4 with mega bomb header and 13tooth front sprocket with EJK fuel controller. I've spoken to several bike dealers and there technicians and they don't think that the EJK is that important as when the exhaust is fitted they will remap through the ECU.
What are your thoughts on this?
Well if they remap the ECU then fine, effectively that's what the EJK is doing for you (except of course you can make changes as you see fit).....
hey . what ejk setting do u use for the full system if not stock pree programed
+DAVID STORMS Hi David, I am just running the stock EJK settings, I've not been tempted to fiddle (yet!)....thanks for watching, all the best - TMF
thank you for great video. from s.korea again.
TheMissendenFlyer tks for reply. i'm very happy now ...with this bike. have a good riding seasons!
when installing an fmf exhauts, is it necessary to install the megabond in a crf 250 l 2018 model?
No don't have too - you can use a PowerBomb instead......
TheMissendenFlyer thanks !
Where did you get the aftermarket fender bracket
Not sure which bracket you mean Ramiro?
To mount the stock rear side number plate on aftermarket exhaust
NICE! Sounds sweeeeet TMF!
Tell that to my neighbours :0)
TheMissendenFlyer there should be a double thumbs up 👍👍🤣😂
