    Seriously, that is 100% of the reason this channel is so fun. There are others out there making great VFX videos for sure, but it's the vibe of having fun with your buddies that makes it so much more enjoyable. I don't do VFX at all, but can 100% relate to just hanging with friends!

      adults, true adults, are just giant kids. Acting like you need to give up on fun and happiness because your an adult just gets you closer to death and losing enjoyment of life. Its why most older people still young and youthful in spirit live longer. The grumpy ones who hate everything get sick and miserable and usually accept the grim reaper their so tired of life, been tired since they turned 30 and werent physically young anymore. Sad. Lol, joking of course, point is stay happy.

    Man, Sam is such a good presenter. Maybe you've been at this for a long time, but with that comes a certain level of experience that I think we tend to take for granted in ourselves. From an outsider perspective, there is a certain level of polish on your storytelling that is definitely noticeable. Great work!

    Sam, I get where you're coming from with the "No more Master Chief costumes after 40", but I want you to know that I for one, appreciate the Master Chief costumes. As a fellow nerd, it brings me so much joy to see you dressing up and putting in the effort to make these fantastic videos. If you didn't put on the Mario costume and go dance in the street for hours, this video would never have turned out the way it did. I see you Sam, and I appreciate all the work and effort and embarrassing moments that you put into your work to bring us such amazing content.

    The mirror trick was pretty cool. I used to operate a mirror prop for a Disney attraction. The mirror had two halves they moved in sync with the show. (Like elevator doors.) The frame could extend about twice its original size. It was also a two way mirror. It could accept projections from the back and display them on the front surface. In the end you walk through the mirror. It’s a really cool effect to see in person.

      @Orangeflava I wish it had been as you say! I couldn't put my exploded head back together and continued watching the video with my brain exposed to the air and when Sam explained the process my head was automatically putting itself back together as if the knowledge shared by Sam would trigger some sort of Wolverine style 'healing factor'. So it wasn't me who was able to put my head back together.... It was this wonderful video. The cause and the solution to my exploded head. It's the risks of learning new things. Your head can explode when you see something you don't understand, and then snap back together when you get the information that explains how it was done.

    I got a question that probably nobody's gonna answer: How did the natural lighting/passage of day affect the video?
    I mean you covered a pretty vast area and took quite a long time on each location... Did you really have no trouble with lighting consistency? What measures did you plan to for it to go smoothly?

    • @CorridorCrew
      @CorridorCrew  Місяць тому +14

      Each area only takes 10-20 minutes to capture max, so the lighting shift is minimal. But I did go back and try and recapture a few areas to add to the data sets, but I was 30 to 45 minutes off, and that destroyed everything. Do you know the effect of wearing polarized sunglasses and looking at a LCD screen? That’s what everything looked like. Pretty crazy.

    You guys are really underrated. In a world where mass uploaded (daily or even a few a day) slop somehow gets in the high hundreds of thousands to low millions of views per video, Corridor Digital videos should be getting millions of views each because they are so much more interesting and extremely high effort. With those daily drama yapping videos, I find myself multitasking all the time. I can barely focus on the video. But with Corridor Digital video, my eyes are glued to the screen. You guys easily deserve 10 times the views. 100%.

    Sam, thank you for your real life perspective of what it's like recording takes like that. You crushed the anxiety of it all and I hope I can do the same with my dreams. If you guys ever need someone to make music for you, (game themed or anything) I'd like to ambitiously and shameless say I am new in the music world and I believe I've got some good ideas. I won't lie, I'm an amatuer who has been doing nothing but teach himself, but I believe I'll go somewhere with it if I continue to keep trying and have faith in what we can all do, no matter the odds. I haven't uploaded music in a while since I've started, but that's due to wanting to come back swinging harder than the last time. I have a hard time keeping the authenticity when recording my vocals, that's part of the anxiety I've got with it. I'd say check out what I've made, but I'm not too proud of it yet and I hope that one day, you just stumble across it when I've finally made a breakthrough well enough to not have to ask people to check it out, ya know? Anyways, this started as me just wanting to say I hope to learn to push through the anxiety of it like you did but I figured I'd take it a couple of steps forward. I have been a fan of ya'll ever since my dad showed me the dubstep gun video like, ten years ago. Truly though, I hope I get the chance to work with a crew as awesome as what you and Niko have built one day.

    This goes to everyone who is currently, or has been before, at corridor: the content tou have been creating, and continue to create, brings so much joy to people everywhere, and im sure I speak for many others when I say that watching these funny, silly, goofy, yet amazingly crafted, often mind-boggling and incredibly enjoyable videos has helped me so much, in terms of both taking my mind off the bad, and teaching and showing so much of the good. Thank all of you for your years of hard work and dedication, and even when it feels hard and strange and a bit crap, I hope you remember how much immense joy you have brought to so many people. All the best everyone ❤️❤️

    Was really fun to peel back to the greenscreens in the intro, then keep the giant effect.

    All respect to your sponsor, but I’ve noticed the timepieces you wear, Sam, and as a watch enthusiast, you’ve got nothing to be ashamed of.

      Holzkern definitely doesn’t seem like a good value or quality. 300-400 for a basic quartz movement with dubious build quality
