Good job on the shifter guard fabrication! I have a Crf250l and have done some of the same mods. I also bought a new seat that’s way more comfortable than the stock seat, put an LED bulb in my headlight for better brightness, and a Lithium battery in. I’m currently trying a 42 tooth rear sprocket, so far so good. Cheers from the USA!
Hi Brian, Thanks! Which seat have you installed and how do you like it? One day I was riding on and off for a total of 10 hours and my bum was totally wrecked! I had bruises on each cheek for about a week. Crazy stuff 😂. Cheers mate
I have a “Seat Concepts” brand seat. Way more comfortable than the original, but I still wear gel padded cycling underwear on long rides. My rear gets so sore on long rides!
Thank you for the excellent video!. The problem with the shift lever is not pushing it inside but the sudden and hard up-or downwards movement of the gear shift lever during a fall. That sudden and hard down of upwards movement during a fall is what damages the teeth connected to the shift mechanism inside the motor.
Thanks, Javier! The issue with the shift lever still hasnt happend to me so it's great to have your input! I thought that issue was on the lateral impact pushing spindle inside the crankcase. The way you explained makes it more tricky to create some kind of a protection.
I like the shifter guard thing, however i would extend it something like 2-3 cm higher, because now it seems like the shifter can go above it in the shifting up position. I scratched my engine case with a bend shift lever when dropping the bike, and the marks clearly show that the shift lever got pushed all the way up
Valid point. Indeed the shifter guard is only protecting when the shifter is in its mid position. In case it bends in an up position I could hit the engine case. Cheers mate
Greetings, As always another brilliant detailed video 🇺🇸🍾🎉🇺🇸 Are you selling the shifter guard and how much? Thank you so much for assisting us, and keep producing more videos.
Greetings, Rosario! Thanks for the supportive comment!! I’m not selling the gear shifter guard. I’ve used the Adventure Spec skid plate then self fabricated the shifter guard. It’s a bit tricky to shape it correctly with a hammer and you will also need to weld it in place.
@@RoiaMoto thank you. I’ve got a CRF300L. I’ve never taken the rear wheel off. I’m a bit nervous about it but really need to know if I’m out on the trail and have a puncture

Hi, great channel, usefull info Thanks. For the front fork mod: I guess the kit came with the Wilbers replacement spring (1 spring). Is it enough for your size/ weight? I have a 300 Rally and im thinking off doing a suspension upgrade, Wilbers 640 shock and in the front the replacement spring from Wilbers. I am hesitating because I don't know if this would be enough in the front. I am your size and 80 kg including riding gear. Luggage will be appr. 20kg thanks for your reply!
Hi Frank, Thanks for following the channel! That’s right. The Wilbers shock came with 1 spring for the front fork. I’m also 80kg (without riding gear) and when fully loaded including riding gear also add some 20kg to the motorcycle. Very similar to you. The front spring is adequate for me. I’m a chilled rider. I don’t ride fast and aggressive. Hope it helps to give you an idea. Cheers
Thank you for your video! Do you think this bike would benefit from crash bars like e.g. the ones for Outback Motortek or would a radiator guard be sufficient?

I’m looking at the Seat Concepts as well but with shipping from the US + import duties into Europe makes it an insult 😂😂.

This is my first time seeing one of your videos very nicely done.
Thanks a lot for that! The channel is just 3 months old so very nice to hear that!

@@RoiaMoto well I better subscribe then.😛. I’m in.
Welcome! 😁
Fantastic job explaining - thanks; I do wonder if it’s wise to use grease which is hard to remove -
Great video ! I bought my 300 used , and the previous owner put a Wilbers shock on it. I never heard of that brand , but it works great .
Thanks, Eric!
Ohh… you got lucky there! Second hand 300L with upgraded shocks. You’ve likely saved at least 1000€ by doing that!
Wilbers is top notch, close to Ohlins quality
Fantastic, simple idea for the cable issue. Thanks. Happy shredding!
Thanks, mate!
I like your username! Chilling Chepapchichi 😂😂! A cevap is always a good idea!
A lot of great info, cheers
Glad it was helpful!
I really like you're videos. Very informative, keep up the good job! Hope to have my motorcycle license in a few months.
Thanks a lot, mate!
I recently discovered your videos, I love them, they are so educational. Big thanks!!!
Have you found foam grips? I‘d be interested :)
My pleasure and welcome to the channel!!
I’m now using Progrip 786 Rally grip. Really like them!

Hi, can you do a video on how to take off a rear wheel and re fit????
Hi mate,
Sure. I’ll post a video about that in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the suggestion

In my opinion just a radiador guard and skid plate are sufficient for the CRF300L.

The shift shaft problem is driving me nuts. How's your solution holding up?
Thanks for sharing.
Hi there,
3 falls so far without any issues. I “believe” it’s helping but need more falls to be 100%
Could you not drill a hole threw the shift shaft and put a bolt in there that lock the way into the gearhausing by pushing against the motorcase?

Good video 👍
Thanks a lot!
How long is Wilbers shock compared to the oem?
30mm less.
