The nasty thing about repair is that the repaired thing immediately falls apart again. if you don't immediately take care of it. The EVA suit comes with repair skill penalties. And the reactor will break down again before you can fix it. I bought broken reactor components hoping to save money 😆
Would your batts recharge if you installed them on a station and then install back on ship? Maybe go for flotilla, looks to have unlimited power (insert Palpatine meme) and crew onboard you never have to talk to (someone repairs the decay right?) slap on thrusters and some miura intakes, extra batts and shape it up, keep that hack .bin on the nav, it wards off cops (fools the scans, it works 100%, not been called nor boarded by cops at all, been scanned at least 50 times, no licence bought ever. You can install anything you want on spawn base, but the game then treats it as the bases property so don't "steal" it back and get seen when uninstalling, can use base as a tool battery charger for free though.
