I just want to tell you how much my husband and I enjoy your channel. Every night at dinner we sit down with one of your videos while we eat our dinner and watch your adventures in Seoul and elsewhere. I am especially enjoying your van series, and we LOVED your random subway adventures. We love how you always are able to find a little 'jewel' when you are exploring. We can tell you put a lot of love and thought into your videos, their editing, and the precious moments of your life spent together. I look forward to you expanding your channel and putting out more content, so we can keep enjoying our dinner moments with you. May your lives together continue to be happy and lovely. My husband is Canadian living in Ontario, and I am an American exported to Canada. Your dual culture marriage makes me happy.....
@jeannettequinnbisbee4754 wow thanks so much for this nice comment and for your support! We're very humbled to hear that you watch our videos like that! I think we are going to try doing some random adventures in the van as well that will be similar to the subway series very soon too. Don't know how well it will go, but there are usually some interesting things to discover everywhere so hope we stumble upon more interesting things! All the best to you both with good health and happiness!
What a cozy, feel good episode! 😊 I am living vicariously through the two of you. Seeing you eat delicious food, walk scenic trails, and enjoy living life on your own terms, makes my heart happy. 💜 I hope you have a wonderful week! Take care! 🍀🇰🇷🌞
Thanks so much @misscaroline542 really glad to hear that! We had a really good time going back to where we started everything, and got spoiled by all of the amazing views! Thanks so much for all of your support, and have an amazing week! 😊
This channel should be essential viewing for anyone planning on moving to Korea in the future. Seoul cafes and trending beauty products are good and all, but there is an entire, amazing country beyond that doesn’t get anywhere near enough attention online
@bobby_thompson wow thanks a lot for the kind words and for watching! Definitely agree that Korea is way too off the radar for people into outdoor activities. I had no idea about it all when I first moved here and was pleasantly surprised to see it all! All the best and take care eh! Thanks for your support!
Just finished watching your latest video. It's a great form of escapism for me in America. Your video editing is becoming more sophisticated and without distracting from the actual travel adventure. I really enjoy the magnificent Korean scenery and how cute you two are just being together.
@xipetotec8700 thank you so much! That's really kind of you to say, and also really happy it's not too distracting! We have been spoiled by amazing scenery in this fall weather recently. All the best and take care eh!
You are such a great ambassador for Korea. All your videos has always made me wanting to visit this country again although I have been doing so for the last 2 yrs plus 2024. Already planning for next year to finish all the official bike trials. Been following you from your series of biking the various ‘kangs’. While been a cyclists, who knows may just pick up trekking. Keep up you great work!
@KYL-c8x thanks so much for saying that! That's so great you have been visiting here and cycling the trails! They are such a great way to explore the country! Hope you can finish off your Grand Slam next time, and definitely consider doing a few of the trekking trails someday too as you get to see new views that are off the bike paths as well! Happy cycling and take care eh!
@2BRnot2BRipper thanks a lot for watching! Korea is absolutely filled with biking, trekking, and hiking trails, so if you come in the fall or spring when the weather is nice there are a lot of beautiful places to explore!
"Being optimistic has just made it easier wake up each day and just enjoy life for what it is....". Those are wise words. We can't control everything in our lives so enjoy what you have. Also, of course Matt is watching hockey! lol.
@blackbelt2000 agree with you there that it makes it a lot easier to just enjoy the simple things around us that we can control! Haha I'm a big Vancouver Canucks fan unfortunately! (No Stanley Cup championship in 54 years of existence 🤣)
That's some of the purriest views of Korea's coastline and mountain side I've seen to date. Also enjoyed the added historical context and nuggets of information. As always, thanks for taking us along on the journey! BTW, I just returned from my trip to Korea last week and successfully conquered Seoraksan mountain's Ulsanbawi! Funny how close I was to where you guys were shooting your video :)
@ICDeadPeeps it's really beautiful up there eh! Goseong has some of the nicest beaches without many people at all. Thanks a lot for watching, and great job for conquering Ulsanbawi! It's such a fun hike, and I'm sure they fixed it but the very top on the cliffs used to be really scary because the guard railing was so short that it was really easy to fall off haha. Hope you had an amazing time!
@lovesbeautiful1004 wow thank you so much for your support and generousity! Really appreciate that, and will definitely use it to go to Timmys one more time! Haha. As a small thank you, we'd like to add your username @lovesbeautiful1004 to the end of our videos if that's okay with you. Thanks again, and hope you have an amazing week! 😊
@@lostthenfoundi wanted to buy a larger amount for the gift but the max was $20.99, using my iPad. I thought it strange. But on my laptop the amount we can buy is higher. Next time. Have a great week!
Such a relaxing, beautiful video🌲☀️ Thank you💚 Cairns, or stacking rocks, can be a form of prayer for loved ones who have passed or they may be blessings of peace, harmony and compassion for all of mankind.
@donnahollman4259 thanks so much for explaining that Mom! ❤️ Was very curious as there were probably over 5,000 of them and it seemed like they were all done from the same guy (same shape).
@francisimanuel8824 definitely just a part of life eh! We saw a ton of tanks/trucks up there that would have been cool to put in the video as well, but there were signs everywhere saying not to film/describe what you see.
@jeffreylim5977 thank you very much, and oh I see that makes total sense thanks for letting us know that. I'm not sure if he stacked all of them, but there were probably over 5,000 of them stacked up.
When I visited South Korea, I was very surprised about how many steep hills and stairs there are....even the subways have so many stairs. I can see why the people there are in such good shape ! It is such a wonderful place to explore . Your videos make me want to visit again and again. Love the food too !
@hashtag-dreamer it's very true! Korea is about 70% mountainous terrain, and Seoul is filled with mountains and hills everywhere too. You get a good workout in without even realizing it sometimes! Hope you can come back and enjoy more someday!
@marcellostraps so crazy how hot it's been this year eh! I think it's supposed to be 22 today which is nuts for November! Let's enjoy this amazing weather while it lasts though eh!
Love the bike trail in the middle of the highway, now that’s awesome 🤩 I totally agree, South Korea has beautiful mountains 😊 and yes I too am hopeful fingers crossed 🤞🏽 that one day the North and South agree to unite as did East and West Germany when the wall was torn down. Probably the many rock piles you encountered represented deceased family and friends that lived in the area years ago and it was a symbol of a memorial to them, that’s just my thoughts 💭. Thanks for sharing another great vlog 😊 sending lots and love to you both from NYC 🗽🇺🇸 to beautiful South Korea 🇰🇷🥰
@deidravargas2664 the bike path is pretty interesting eh! Would be so great if the two countries could settle things if possible. Also appreciate the information about the rock piles! The guy was very dedicated and there were so many of them, so that must be the reason why. All the best from over here in Korea, and thanks for all of your support and kind words! 😊
Another great video Yujin and Matt…beauty of nature…curious to know if Korea has Planet Fitness chain where one can shower…Nami island…Winter sonata…’yeyo’ - kimchee…even Tony Montana can enjoy…have you tried using a small crock pot??? Prepare your soup …turn on low…and when you get to your destination…된장국 is ready…
@classickdramaclips thanks so much! Korea has a similar chain called Spo Any Fitness and I think the membership is about 360,000 KRW ($257.47 USD) per year. Would be cheaper than our current method of using the public gyms every 2nd day for about 3,000 KRW ($2.15), but we often end up parking in places that aren't super close to them. The crock pot is also something we really want to try adding in someday! Would be awesome to try out some different stews!
im loving these videos again and again. I'm planning my first trip to Korea in april 2025 and i hope to rent a car and go see some of the country outside of the big cities. are there any great destinations for views and wonders that are the top recommended by you guys? id love to know! great video!
I would highly recommend looking into Trazy. If it's your first time traveling to Korea, they make things a lot easier for English speaking foreigners by taking a lot of the logistical headaches/nightmares out of the equation. For example, it's incredibly hard, if not impossible, to reserve an Express bus online without a domestic Korean credit card without using a intermediary service like Trazy. They also offer both group tours and private (more expensive) tours all throughout Korea.
@mach1neg thank you so much! Wow that's great to hear, and really awesome that you will be exploring the countryside too! We loved Geojin Beach (거진해수욕장) in this video which isn't too far from Sokcho (속초) that's also worth checking out to see Seoraksan National Park (설악산국립공원). Then on the South in addition to Busan I've heard Geoje-do (거제도) is amazing, and Namhae (남해) is definitely worth seeing. Midland we love Hwangmaesan (황매산) in Hapcheon-gun (합천군) which you can hike up the peak through the flowers to get some nice views. Songnisan (속리산) is also a nice hike with a cool temple at the bottom of it. West Coast check out the Gogunsan Islands (고군산도), Anmyeon-do (안면도), and I've heard great things about Byeonsanban-do Park (변산반도국립공원) but I've never been there. Hope you have an amazing trip!
