I have the teardrop, but just changed to an SUV. I may stick with them but liked the points you made, so will look into it and see what i prefer. Thank you
So; first caravan just bought. Adria Colorado 8ft. Yep. Hmmmmm. Researched pretty well everything, everywhere I could. Failed on one thing. Mirrors. Bought Milenco Aero 3 whatever… for my XC60. Neat. Easy to fit. But… they give me an onion skin more view than the 60’s mirrors. So as we live ‘up north where roads are narrower I need to go big or ‘go in a car overtaking’…. Watched this film. Thought about it. 30 seconds later ordered a pair. Then arranged to send the others back. I think what annoys me on amazon is the lack of ‘what this works with’. So - Ive pretty much watched all your vids and learnt a lot. So if you see an old bloke with a red xc60 and a blooming hide Adria plus loads of grey hair come say hi!
Hi there - yea there is such a thing as a stupid question. New mirrors arrived. But whilst the ball end was screwed into the arm I couldn’t fit it into the mirror. Well I suppose I could but I’d have to ‘tap’ it with a plastic hammer and risk damaging it. Did yours come inserted’?
I had to replace my suck it and see mirrors due to change of car, i looked at many alternatives but to be honest they all involved lots of generic clamps and or rubber straps so opted for a set of EMUK mirrors, they are expensive but have a single locking clamp and sleek profile when fitted.
Can't see the point of these, for 30 year's my mirrors have been rubber straps on in 5 seconds no problems at all it's another case if caravan owners being ripped off.
@@brianknowles1727 “🤣 “Dimwit” 🤣 even your insults are 30 yrs old! Can you even still buy mirrors with rubber straps?? I still can’t see how anyone is getting ripped off,

They both have pros and cons

I think you are supposed to install the brackets first then slide in mirror.
Cheers

What a ridiculous statement! So because people don’t want to use 30 yr old mirrors with straps they are being ripped off?
@@pjallitt I didn't say the mirrors are 30 year's old dimwit I simply said I have been using that type of mirror for that length of time.

could you tell us the other decisions you've made so we can also follow you, as the caravan guru? what tow car do you use?
