I'm in Houston, Texas USA and I had no plans for today. So I'm quietly watching this video as I drink a cup of coffee. All of your instructions on how to make these pages were crystal clear (no surprise there) but when you added that paint-splotched green piece of paper to that first page, my mouth dropped open. I've seen you do it multiple times, but it is always amazing to me to see the second your creation/vision comes alive. Everything just clicked in with that one little bit of paper. So now I'm grabbing my supplies and as soon as I finish watching the rest of this video, I will get to making these pages. TFS - stay safe out there and have a blessed week!

I think this option is excellent for the person who doesn't have a "real" junk journal, or what most people would consider one to be. How fun to just make these pages and glue them into a composition book or anything repurposed, even another book. Less intimidating than working right on the final page. That first step is always the hardest when creating. In my opinion.
Also, did you mention washi tape in the recent pod cast? If you didn't it certainly should be on your list of favorite ingredients. Hahaha

I make cards and envelopes mostly. I didn't really know I enjoyed it until the year that changed everything, so now for almost two years, every piece of stationary or "pretty trash" gets saved. Your ideas are amazing. I am using several of your ideas tonight. I bought an old book from a thrift shop today.

I'm a 30 year old italian woman who just re-discovered her creativity, I was intrigued by junk journaling but other creators made it seem that there was a right & a wrong way to junk journal. Well, THANK YOU Joie, you were the reason why I started my first junk journal a couple days ago and now I'm binge-watching your videos & adding bits and pieces to it. I love your being down-to-earth & beginner friendly, your creations are both beautiful and inspiring. I'm having tons of fun creating. I wish I found your channel earlier!!
I just noticed two details that I especially appreciate about your journaling style. 1. You mix straight edges with torn edges on the page, and 2. You do NOTadd ink (e.g. vintage photo) to the edges of all of your papers. ❣️
You're absolutely right. I don't feel the need, or the desire to spend time inking pages. Just do whatever you enjoy... well spotted!!😁😁💜👍
