I am Indonesian. In my hometown, "janganan" (jenganan) means "vegetables". So, "nasi jenganan" is rice with vegetables on top of it. It is a popular breakfast in here and we are more familiar to call it as "pecel". If you eat it without rice, it will become vegetable salad with peanut sauce. Some people substitute the rice with fried noodle so that it is called "pecel mie".

there is a store also at geylang serai market selling nasi briyani, the more malay style, one portion of that is able to fill 2 pax for breakfast and lunch. the shop is run by a malay couple, a friend of my grandmother and i really think you should try it, they have chicken, lamb and beef briyani, each priced at about 12-15 dollars, but if u see the portion size you would understand why. i cant rmb the name of the stall but they only sell nasi briyani, i hope u can give it a try

Rawon is heritage cuisine from Indonesia, East java Surabaya And nasi jenganan/nasi pecel, its a common breakfast dish for people at java island I hope Malaysian people dont claimed Rawon as their heritage cuisine 😊
