He's never lost his quirky sense of humor. Wish he'd come up with a new project for us to enjoy!
He still has that wicked smile and twinkle in his eye. And what a great sense of humour. Wonderful! Thanks for sharing.
I grew up in the 80 with Macgyver. When the last epidose was aired, I really felt as if a friend had left me and I would never seeee him again. I was 10 years or so. Afterwards I saw him in "stargate", but I never was able to get over the fact that it was Macgyver.. Ah great great memories; Thanks for everything Richard!! I wish you well.
Hello fellow countryman. Same here, I saw all episodes except one, because my mom punished me for something, I was so mad at her, bless her heart. MacGyver was a real inspiration, as a kid, and even now. It was indeed like losing a friend. He inspired me to study chemistry.
I m from Sri Lanka i loved mcgyver and stargate. Mcgyver and colonel o neil was the best. They were absolutely amazing. We love you Mr.Anderson. we will be forever grateful to you for what you have given us.we would be honoured if you come to visit us. Respect. ✊👏🙋
This man will always be loved
God, I grew up with MacGyver, but this is the first time I actually heard RDA talk instead of playing a role. He's such a likeable guy, I had no idea!
RDA is the man! I miss the ol' days of MacGyver/SG1. He's charismatic and funny! A legend in my book!
Same here!! MacGyver and SG1 days...
He will always be the original macgyver.😍😍😍😍😍😍
MacGyver was my childhood hero and rowmodel and he still is a Great Guy 👍
RDA has had 2 indelible roles, epic! My grandmother who spoke no English never missed an episode of "Magala" lol. I love RDA!!!! I've just watched him on SG-1, soooo good. Missed him in n the last 2 seasons.
I love pretty girls with stinky morning breath
I’ve loved RDA since I discovered MacGyver when I was 19. I’m 36 now. I’d love to meet him someday.
Kari Grant me too!
@@azraikezoe388 He was my first crush - I watched MacGyver on its first run back in 1985. And watched Stargate SG1 because of him. Still love him, beautiful human being.
And he still manages to keep an amazing head of hair.
You are a legend sir. Ignore the haters. You have made so many people happy. Love from the UK.xx
He obviously still loves a crowd and crackin' wise. He's a joy to listen to.
As far as a show he might want to appear on...I think he'd be great on The Orville. He has the right sense of humor to be on that show.
He's hilarious!!! I could listen to him for hours
Grew up watching him! My favorite tv actor.
His body may have gotten older, but man his mind is still sharp... That's a great sign at this age:)
He's aged a bit. I was a little shocked when I first saw him, but realized just how long it's been since SG-1 was shot, and that he's 67. Richard looks pretty good. He's still got his sense of humor. It's amusing to see how much "Richard Dean Anderson" was in Jack O'Neill. I'd love to see him in something new.
Yeah he started the show when he was 48!
RDA is a Legend
RDA also voiced Killian Darkwater in Fallout. That's something many people don't know and I am very happy he did that. Made my game even more enjoyable
I would like to make a couple of comments here. I still watch Macgyver on paramountplus. To me there is only ONE Mac and the new guy ain't it! Secondly when Dana Elcar started having health issues in season 7, instead of writing him out of the show, his issues were written in to the show so that he could keep working. I think that showed a lot of class on the part of the powers that be and made me even a bigger lover of the show. Miss you Mac!

Let someone break both your knees multiple time, have a few surgeries to try and fix the injuries, age past 60 and see how you fare in the weight department. The man is lucky he can still walk. Bunch of self righteous pricks in the comments. Also, Twinkies.
Hockey
Just watched all starGates from SG1 to Atlantis to universe. During this lock down. I hate how Universe ends. They should make new series.
This guy is Iconic so much love and respect thanks 😊
They really should have included scenes from "Legend" in that video at the start of RDA's session. He would have LOVED that 😊
I love him! Love his sense of humor and how open he seems to the fans that I'm sure adore him like I do. Thank you for all the joy you have given us, Richard, with your characters. Jack O'Neill is my hero!
I bought the entire boxset of Stargate SG1 plus the 3 movies I'm a stargate nut 😂🤣
Love RDA he's just like his O'Neil character 🤣
Good Lord he looks *awesome* for 67 years old!!
Midnight Alleykat he would have looked 100 % awesomer had he not gotten sick...
Handsome
Richard Dean Anderson there is no one like him. I watched Mac Giver anď then Stargate. I Loved Mac Giver and Loved O" Neill. Such a great actor. 🤗⚘⚘
Thank you for sharing! Love Richard Dean Anderson! He's awesome and absolutely hilarious! :)
Love listening/watching RDA - and he is looking good - great sense of humour - thanks for posting this as I don't go to cons..
to the people that got nothing but bad things to say about his weight and damn he old, grow up, people age, people put on weight, when you go from a very active life like RDA into retirement, your body will change i for one think he looks great for 67. instead of the negative comments why not turn that into something more constructive
Absolutely!
He looks good man. I'm half his age and don't look half as nice.
Most the people that say bad things about him and his weight at this age, will eat their words when they are the age he was when he was filming season 6 (when he was fit at dang-near fifty).. lol. So jokes on you. He let himself go after Stargate. lol, so what? He's having a great life.
He had multiple surgeries and had to be put on steroids, it caused that bloated look in his face, it's kinda sad, but also not really his fault. He's also 71 years old at this point...
Aside from the weight, I think he actually looks really good. So e people lose their looks as they age, he has kept it. The weight is easier to lose but once you've lost your looks, plastic surgery can't get it back. Besides, his weight gain is due to the surgeries and medications he was under
love you MacGyver (rda) for ever & ever & ever.❤
I loved Macgyver so much, I have the whole series. I also got my daughter started on it. She loves the show as she also likes to tinker with things. Thanks for the entertainment Mr. Anderson.
To all those griping about his weight...he actually lost here much of the weight he gained even several years before. He'd sustained all kinds of injuries shooting SG-1 and eventually had to have surgery. And long-term steroid use causes weight gain.
This video here? He's in great shape for his late 60s, so leave the dude alone about it.
Exactly what I've trying to tell people! Lay off him already!!!!!he looks great! AND HE HAS LOST WEIGHT!😠
Yeah, it's absurd people don't want actors to age. I think he was 47 when he started SG-1, leave him alone.
It was already, when he did stunts in MacGyver, that he sustained several injuries.
If you binge watch sg1 your notice between season 1 and 4 he turns completely grey and ages 10 years but same for everyone! From 35 it’s all downhill but he actually looks younger now than he did in his last episode
I don't think he aged much from the 80s to 00s actually, his hair just silvered. I have premature greying myself, started at 13, same as my father and brother
He will always be awesome with his wit and charm.
I’ll never get enough of his personality and humor, what a charming man. 💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕
It looks like Richard Deen Anderson has been blessed with very healthy skin. He is in his 60s yet he still does not have any wrinkles and no loose skin on his neck and chin.
Yeah. But he's filled out those wrinkles and loose skin with fat instead. I'll bet that he would probably have wrinkles and loose skin, specially on his neck and under his chin, if he would still be skinny. But I agree with you, that his skin looks great. I've seen a lot of people in his age, that have some darker spots on their forehead and by their hairlines. Can't remember what the dark patches were called at the moment. It was something with liver, I think.
Ich vermute ja, dieses herrliche Hautbild ist ein indianisches Erbteil, zumindest kam mir mal der Gedanke. Einfach unfassbar schöner Mensch
You're still amazing Richard! Love you to bits (:
This fella is a legend and what a great series stargate was and still is.
Been a fan since MacGyver. He is the one actor I would really love to have as a big brother. I still think has aged really well.
"It was a PUPPY you dummies!"LOL!!!!I love that part! I remember a VERY cute pup on one of the episodes.
darn, this guy sure has aged, no so bad to be honest. What I love is that he stays authentic, he stays himself, funny, open.
His answer regarding bringing the stargate to his background xD that was so jack o'neill
Team Kuuki Food & Games He's got the Jack.
For real the show is boring without Jack fucking around with Teal'c
I'm still in tears everytime I watch this scene.ua-cam.com/video/6ulbnr8vkL4/v-deo.html
I'm glad I have time to explore you tube and see one of my favorite macgyver..see him now..not that same face..but still the old macgyver..love love still now I watch old macgyver hope they play season 1..
Delightful. Still gorgeous and great!
I would love for the next series to start when the ancients first reach Earth after they flee. How do they end up abandoning the antarctic outpost? Why did they build there? How did they influence early humans? When did the goauld take control?
Love RDA, Jack O'Neill is one of my favourite characters in tv show history!
When the show was a big hit he wouldn’t be caught dead at any kind on convention. At least we have these now.
One of my all time favorite actors. He's such a funny and down to earth guy. The kind of guy you'd love to hang out with on a lake, fishing and drinking beer. I loved MacGyver, but I liked O'Neil's character more. More like his real personality. One of my favorite lines, which most would think is stupid, is when they had cake for something and he smiled and said "my idea". Just like his character, I love cake too. I also liked the scene when the Goa'uld was dying and Carter and the doctor couldn't figure out how to save it. Jack said "why can't you just use those paddle things they use in the hospital", or something to that effect. Then they looked at him like "why didn't we think of that". After it worked, he goes "my work here is done", and walked out of the room.
I always felt like O'Neill was the anti-MacGyver, a deliberate parody who was the opposite of Mcgyver in almost every way.
what's wrong with casual pot smoking?
Ah... you're one of those "I found God" people... how did I not see that coming?! You're too dense, lighten up... have a little fun... don't take things so serious. The thing about life is: when you start taking it too serious it loses it's beauty.
damn, lady... slow down... if I wanna crack a couple of beers here and there, who are you to tell me not to? Same for weed... You don't even try to give reasons for why it's bad. You just state it's bad for me and that's it. Give me at least one good reason why it's bad for me.
Seeing him aged makes me feel aged. 😂😂 And there's nothing wrong with growing older. He looks great, and he's a fun guy.
Many people don't know that Christopher Judge was a guest for an episode of MacGyver.
I think Don Davis was too.
@@sarasorensen2650 if that's true it's kind of crazy how they all come together again many years later to be on a different show
@@brad9548 both shows were filmed in Vancouver weren't they? Used the local actor pool.
@@mishasan7 maybe they were both filmed in the same city but they were separated by at least 10 plus years
@@brad9548 They were both on MacGyver. Although not in the same episode. And I remember that Don Davis played one of the bad guys. 😂
How cool would it of been to work with this guy ...still cool
I showed my 17 year old son Macgyver and he loved it so much that he's got the long hair now?
Me too
MacGyver was the best television series ever made in the past! Richard Dean Anderson was the greatest! Awesome! I miss those episodes. 😎
Can not wait till he comes back to North Carolina again to a con. Grew up watching MacGyver & some of stargate. So I've always wanted to meet him.
Gosh I love this guy..
Last Stand (1x07)
In order to open a locked security van, MacGyver creates a thermite torch using magnesium filed from a racing cycle frame and iron rust held in a long metal tube and lit with a roadside signal flare. He then stubs the torch out on the ground. Considering most light weight people movers (wheel chairs, racing bikes etc) are made from magnesium, the flame would continue to burn.
OMG this interview is so funny lol.
I look at this as a totally cool Grandpa who's got his sh*t together. So much fun to watch!
thanks for the inspiration macgyver!
He is one of my favorite people in the world.
Me too! ❤️💕❤️
PS Macgyver was a huge inspiration on my life.
I loved McGyver and still do. Also loved RDA in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
RDA is a national treasure.
Richaerd Dean you have the wicked smile antd twinkle in your eyses you so amazing I just new you as macgyver that my time when someone told me that you whas born in 1950 you are good looking man big hugs from Belgium
Richard Dean Anderson is amazing🥰
I could have watched another hour of this.
26:44 question and Rick reply was so funny, shame that Amanda wasn't there, LOL
I almost expected Michael Des Barres
to suddenly show up as an "uninvited" guest!
I wonder who get out of most dangerous situations?! MacGyver, O'Neill or RDA? Richard of course!
When is he EVER coming to Charlotte,nc???? We southern folks like him too!
My dream hero.please come back again.
At last ...thanks for sharing.
No problem! Had a LOT of panels to churn through!
Don't get me wrong ! You did an amazing job posting all the videos !!! I was just impatient ...thanks again.
No one quite like him, my hats off

Legend!!
Where can I see Legend? ❤️💕❤️
He was also on 7 Brides for 7 Brothers in the 80s.
Still handsome
Hahahaha, many laughs in the last 40+ mins....
Thank youuu!!!
I would love to see RDA on "Supernatural" or hear him to a cartoon voice on "Duck Tales", "Star Wars", etc.
Yeah. I would have loved if Richard Dean Anderson had been in an episode of Supernatural. Or even better. Several seasons of Supernatural! That would have been great! 😁👍
like he should have been an old hunting buddy of Rufus and Bobby's.
@@classicerynn8452 Exactly! He would have been like an uncle to Sam and Dean and helped John to raise them. 😁👍
He's looking good these days :)
Richard Dean Anderson is the man
I had a Macgyver poster in my college dorm but the Jack attitude and the "non" thing with Carter had me addicted to Stargàte
there where some parts for certain bicycles out of magnesium..... even now some MTB air cushioned forks are out of magnesium...
Continua lindoo!🌟🌟❤️❤️🙏😘😘
Saudades...
I am miss you
Mr. Anderson finally aged into his personality. Think about it: Col O'Neill was an old codger in a younger body.
RDA looks AMAZING for his AGE!
my best actor
When are you coming to Ontario
Never.
True American hero and idol
I love how he recalls the episode with the bicycle, magnesium and torch, but love much more how he reminds the scene, which is completely wrong. It did happen in an airport, and it could be said that the scenario was closed to a desert (not really, but it was in an isolated area), but the reality is that he created the torch to save a man locked in a truck/van full of money, and which the bad guys had put a bomb on the door to open it. He convinced the bad guys he could open the door, without killing the man and without risking the money in the van.
Once he opened the door and the man was released, the bad guys shot him and killed him.
Season 1 Episode: Last Stand
MacGyverism (source: The MacGyver Project): Grinds magnesium (from a bike) and ferric oxide (rusted iron) into powder, then puts it in a bike part to create a blowtorch, and ignites it with an emergency flare gun.
I really love and admire this guy a lot. So down to earth and humble.
Remember that episode was a LONG time ago. so he get,s it a little mixed up.....no big deal!
yes, that's it exactly .. and if the bike was made out of magnesium (or aluminum) and if you filed it down and mixed with the right amount of rusted iron (ferric oxide) or something else, that adds oxygen to the mixture, although rust works great....then it works .. it's not that farfetched ..it's a thermite. look it up .. one thing though. You can't put the flame out like he did in that episode. You have to let it burn out by itself. and you should file it down as much as you can ... to a powder really, not just pieces like they did on a show .. other than that, it works
I especially love the way he remembers things all confused. There was another interview where he merged two of the opening gambits into one memory and it's so funny. Of course, he filmed both on the same day....so it's easy to see how things get jumbled in his head! Such a funny guy though. Love his response to the new so-called "MacGyver" tv show.
As stated, that episode was in 1985 which was more than 30 years ago. I'm sure everything is a blur.
FFS he's OLD. This is what happens to EVERYONE! He kept his shape well into his 50's which is a damn sight better than most. Some of you people are gonna get a nasty shock when you suddenly rapidly put on weight and then can't be arsed to lose it.
I'm there.
I seem to remember reading that he’s had bad knees from when he played hockey...
He was in a car incident years ago and had to go on medication and couldn't move as much. If he hadn't been in the incident he'd look a quite a bit better now.
He looks good though, I saw a few pictures of him after the car crash and he looked so much worse.
And some of us won't. It's a life approach to dedicated health or a fuck it let it all happen.
I'm 51 and look 35. It's absolutely about having a focus on health.
hes become what i hoped old harrison ford would be
