God I love these two! The chemistry is still unbelievable between them!! Nothing I would like better than to see the suit up a few more times for Stargate!!
as they would say on SG1, I'm one CLICK past 3/4 of a century. binge watch EVER NITE until (when or if) the discs wear out. ;) such an educational show is how I learned a CLICK is a kilometer. they did lots of hiking around the galaxy !!
I remember when I was about 16 I first started catching Stargate on tv.....I went out and bought all available seasons on DVD, and watched the entire thing after school over the period of a few weeks. So much nostalgia, I loved the plot, the characters, and it just seemed they always delivered, each episode.
just started rewatching episode 1 of sg1. I forgot how much i loved that show, traveling to new worlds and going on a adventure with your team as equals.
Very nice to hear Rick talk and Amanda encouraging him along the way. They still have such a friendship and connection after all these years. Loved the humor and sweetness. I couldn't understand everything but still enjoyed it. So nice to see a panel from this year. Thank you for uploading! 😃 May I ask what other subjects you upload? I may want to subscribe.😊
Every now and again I’ll rewatch these panels (especially this one and any Amanda is in) just to hear their thoughts and all the behind the scenes tidbits. I was so lucky to meet both on the Sunday for their joint photo and they were truly the nicest people I have ever met (Chris and Michael too)! I miss Stargate so much and almost don’t want it back as it wouldn’t be the same without the original foursome!
My cheeks are aching from the laughter. These two are so much fun. I have too many fave SG1 scenes to list, but what come to mind? #gracekissingscene #abyss
I like that there is no new Stargate shows because kids that want to experience a franchise will see what ever is the latest out. So if they want to see Stargate they get to experience the magic, the fantastic dynamic between characters and the talent and the passion the cast and crew of SG1 brought to the screen. Not the morbid, negative, augmentative and tasteless nothing Star Trek and Star Wars has become from their original spirits. SG1 is perfectly persevered from a time when it was about meaningful and thoughtful story telling (with a sense of optimism)- and I like that Stargate hasn't been destroyed or tainted by today's fashion of a morbid reboot or sequel
Poor RDA. He did the majority of his own stunts in Macgyver and they took a severe toll on him. His wit and charm are unmatched. Anyone who adores The Simpsons as much as him deserves applause and reverence. He and his character are deceptively intelligent. Masking it with humor only makes it that much better. LEGEND.
I wish that at least some fans at Comic Con and other venues (instead of just asking questions) would give heartfelt "Thank You's" to Stargate actors and crew, for providing everyone with quality entertainment that has meaning, and for being excellent examples for others. They truly went above and beyond, showed integrity and excellence in all they do, which is pretty ironic, I know, (being that they are in the Air Force on the show) but it's true.
I miss the 20 episode seasons. Sure, alot is filler, bottle episodes or dinky, because the budget has to to go 22 episodes. But you can't get a show like SG-1 with 8 episodes every 18 months. These guys loved doing it, and you can tell on screen. Contrast that with most recent sci fi. Can't even remember most of the characters of recent shows I've watched. Even if I enjoyed them.
@@Airlim well done video. Much better than the apparently handheld video that GateWorld linked to in their article. UA-cam offered me your video after I finished watching the other one. Your camera was steady and closer to the stage, so we can actually see Rick and Amanda. Your audio was clearer, and helped me so much with the thickly-accented audience questions.
I grew up with McGuiver. I loved watching SG1. Its sad to see your favorite actors grow old, but they do. Ah well... So are we. Thank you Richard and Amanda for the wonderful memories!
They are so charming my god! I love them and their chemistry on and off the screen! I love this video so much and I love that they also ship Jack and Sam! And Rick is literally Jack O'Neill, how awesome is that?!
I've fallen in love with senior Rick! I want Andy on one side and me on the other funny man! I'll listen to this interview over and over again until you make your next public appearance because I long to see and hear you not just read your updates!
If he comes back then i will try and record more of the pannels for you so that you can see them, I'm glad that you liked the video and that your going to watch it agan and again now
When she said 'use your imagination and enjoy yourselves' I died 😂 Apparently Amazon just purchased MGM so one step closer to more Stargate! Can't recall atm who said it, a producer I think, but in terms of progress towards more Stargate the current status is '5 chevrons locked!' And that was before Amazon purchased MGM! 💜💜💜
I watch Stargate every day, I'm not that Netflix type etc so I'm sticking with the old good series. We do have a Stargate universe marathon since a while on a TV channel. Almost the whole day, Stargate, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe, Stargate origin. That's the only reason why I turn on my tv
Great, funny, interview, a glimpse into the creative force that made Stargate SG1 such a great show. Maybe the organisers of the event should have had that carpet replaced?
Playing senile when I get old is my dream to! Amanda is of the proper stock with that lady back sex jokes and not being offended and actualy thinking it is funny as hell!
Richard is so funny I had no idea, as his characters were always so stoic. It seems his real talents were hidden this whole time. Hope he comes back to television at sometime.
I can't make out most of what's being said by the audience and a few of the actors' comments too. Is there anyplace to find a written transcript of this?
@@Airlim I appreciate the offer but you don't have to go to all that trouble. I did turn on the cc which helped but didn't caption everything. Thanks anyway.
I would be all for a reboot of SG. Find actors with as much charm and vit as the old cast, take it serious and listen to the fans and you're golden Both Amanda and Richard are such class acts, I love them dearly.
That was so funny, Rick sure knows how to make Amanda blush and laugh. Shame that the claire person didn't ask both of them about what would there cartors do when they are invisable if an episode was made. and have Rick and Amanda kiss at the end of the comic con.
Richard for his age looks +-good, but Amanda ... wow ... I loved the chemistry between Jack O'Neill and Samantha Carter. I always remember McGyver joke (behind scenes), eg. ua-cam.com/video/J847OF_jZ20/v-deo.html
I think these events would be a lot more fun if it was less audience Q&A and more activities like the Tennant/Smith raffle, or other games/quizzes/contests (e.g. Audience v Actors)
If I remember right, he had knee surgery. Recovery for it plus medication and his age worked against him in terms of weight. He's since lost weight, it looks like. But after 50, your metabolism isn't what it used to be, ya know?
It was done too early in the series and being the loop reset every time and only Jack and Teal'c remembered what happened in the previous loops, it was happening in canon but never stuck. Besides, they couldn't have stayed together unless one of them left the Air Force which is why he's shown resigning before he kisses her.
Miss these guys loads. Stargate sg1 will always be in my heart.

I love these two also, but I'm not sure about any romantic chemistry between the actors lol.
As I wrote at a different post of this - Amanda tries so hard keeping everything together - herself, the panel and Rick XDDD
Being a director is a personality I guess
Amanda Tapping is still gorgeous and Anderson is still super cool
just started re-watching SG 1 on amazon for like the 5th time now. Still as good. Some things are just a good time sink.
That's how I feel about the original MacGyver :)
