Watch, listen and read enough stuff about how cops suck and you'll easily fall into an echo chamber of assuming all cops do nothing and are bad people, the news doesn't help this at all considering 98% of police news coverage is either neutral towards them or outright against them in one way or another. Add that on top of the emotional turmoil of your mom dieing and there you go. Blind rage towards the cops.
