I was about to say. There's a bunch of people hacking insulin pumps too to stretch out their doses. Every year, there's cases in the US of people dying of lack of insulin. You guys live in a dystopia.

I miss Olinsky and Antonio. They were the only members of the team who Voight saw as equals. Olinsky obviously knew Voight from the old days and even though their methods differed Voight saw Antonio as a friend. None since have been to Voight they all need their hands held.

The One Chicago shows, especially PD, were absolutely the best, quality-wise, back in the earlier seasons. The writing of the storylines and characters, and thus, also the writing of the couples, was the best during the first six seasons. The golden times of PD will always be seasons 1-6 plus the Infection crossover episodes of season 7, so the start of season 7, but after the Infection episodes, PD went dramatically downhill.
And especially the first four seasons of PD are the most brilliant, the four seasons of Linstead. Every character was fully fleshed out back then, the Unit interacted with each other all the time, acting like a real team and a family, gathering for a beer at Molly's, the action scenes were f0cking brilliant and way better than today, and the criminal cases were way better written as well.
Voight nowadays is a very bland character compared to who he was in the early seasons; now he literally almost only pops up in the episodes giving cliche orders to the team and sitting in his office behind his desk, while back then he was a total badass, constantly meeting Chicago criminals to do his masterful dirty games and protect the city, he had family which made things more interesting (Justin, Erin), and he took part in action way more than today on the show.
Same with Jay: if you rewatch the show, Jay was freaking badass (his fight with the Latin Kings gang member in 1x11 is still the best fight in the Chicago PD history), he had his trademark, sarcastic sense of humor, he was great with Erin, and he had great friendship and banter with both Antonio and Mouse, and with Ruzek as well! And he was absolutely on the same page with Voight by season 3.
Yet since mid-season 7 the stupid new producers and the new writers came on board, and literally retconned and changed most of the characters and the tone of the entire show. The whole show became toned down and less badass because of the George Floyd case, and the pressure from the public to tone down the show, which they did.
Jay and Voight in particular became the victims of this change. They started once again writing Jay and Voight fighting when this didn't make sense because Jay and Voight were only getting closer earlier. Then the humor totally disappeared from the show, the show is just dark and depressing now, while back in the early years it was dark and badass but balanced with brilliant humor and lighter scenes (just watch Chicago PD humor videos-edits here on UA-cam, you will get what I mean).
And btw, this is also why the Jay actor - Jesse Lee Soffer - left the show. He said himself, in various interviews, 3-4 years before leaving, that he wanted Jay to become closer to Voight, and he wasn't very enthusiastic about the writers giving Jay yet another workplace romance, but the producers and writers did exactly the opposite of this, so the opposite of what the actor wanted, lol. So no wonder he left.
My point is, that everything was better on PD during the first six years: couples, writing of the characters, and writing of the criminal cases. And this is why Linstead was the best too: the writing was just in general so much better back then, that the writers actually knew how to write couples and romance. Nowadays it's all dull and ridiculous drama when it comes to most couples.

God, I miss this, I miss the old Chicago PD !! With the old, original team, I miss the old Halstead who was badass and had a sarcastic sense of humor like here, and when all the characters were more badass and the action scenes were way, way better! The old is gold! The best seasons of this show will always be seasons 1-6, and then the Infection crossover episodes at the start of season 7, after that, it all went downhill. My favorite characters will always be the original Hank (nowadays Hank is way too bland), Olinsky, Halstead from seasons 1-6 plus the start of season 7, Erin and Mouse.

  • @Chrissimpson-oo4qx

They need to do an episode of the season finale where they think they're busting their own group like this and then come find out several of them they shot and killed with CIA agent and then the one they took them to cut that they were left behind and then the fallout from that they was forced to shut down that entire unit which within the show series. That would be quite a surprise and a surprising way to end the series the FBI and the CIA shut them down.

I lived in Taiwan for 20 years. I can't believe the price is americans pay for even a basic dental cleaning
If you have any kind of serious problem.
    Nobody takes medical or medicaid
Those are government health insurances and states. But the thing is is that you need to go and get private insurance, which is most likely very expensive
The only way you can get it as if you have a job.
But nowadays it's hard to find full time jobs.
You have to have some kind of specialized skill.
Thankfully I may have found a job that's willing to train me.
It doesn't pay much but that has good health insurance.
There's an opportunity to move up, too

Atwater, Ruzek and Burgess carry thier hearts on thier sleeves, it's the reason why I've never considered them effective officers, Ruzek especially has a stupid habit of being so overall loyal to Voight that he doesn't look ahead, he needs to stop copying and start forging his own path, burgess is beyond annoying, and Atwater has this habit of trying to reform at the most silliest of moments. For me Voight, Olinsky and Antonio were the highlights. Of all the female characters I like Platt and to some degree try as I might to stand Erin.
