At age 70 I suddenly have a need to draw a pentagon. Strange how these things creep up on us! Thank you for such an excellent and lucid explanation and for not having exasperating muzak in the background.
Good way to draw almost prefect pentagon, I did some calculations and find out that angle formed by two sides of this pentagon will be 107,587953774 degrees instead of 108 degrees.
@@pauleohl I forgot to mention that, angle formed by the horizontal line and line next to it will form 107,58... degrees. Other angles will of course be different since their sum is always going to be 540 degrees.
While I got an 'A' in geometry back some 60 years ago, I have never been able to follow any of the proofs as to why an angle can't be trisected, or why you can't find cube roots with the traditional tools..
1) Make a line of undefined length. 2) Take the bloody ruler, and measure the length of the line drawn. 3) Take a Protractor, and take 5 times 108° inwards a line the length of the first line. Done. How's that for fast and easy?
@craigalchin9805 Or do it as I do, sir ... : Take 5 darts, aim blindly, and hope for the best. :P JK: No, I begin with a pentagram, freehanded. To me, this always works. It would likely work for others as well?

Out of 32 reactions, only 2 say this a not a true pentagon. They are right. Choose AB=2, then 0to1=√3, 0to2=1, ... , 0to3=(√3 -1)/2 = tan (3A0). So that angle is

65 and me too 😳👍🏴
Good on you guys! 😂
It's as they say, age is just a number
Lol same
I just learnt at 77. Somehow I was inspired what I missed at 7th grade geometry class
I am so lucky to stumble upon this site, you are the best tutor I have ever learnt from. Thanks a million for such great content
Thank you❤ for this easy method of drawing pentagon
well explained, thank you so much sir, dont stop
Perfectly explained..🙌
Thank you unc for another classical post

All the internal angles can't be 107.587953774 degrees and still have a pentagon whose sides are equal length.
Thanks for doing the math.

This is correct. I remember I drew this on AutoCad and find out that point D (on this video) won't have equal lengths to E and C.
Great video , simple perfect explanation 🙂
I love your construction ❤
thanks for the good explanation
This is approximate as
tan(PI/5)×(√3 + 1)/2 = 0.9925
Corresponding angle is 36.206 degree not 36 degree for a perfect pentagon.
To clarify the angle A30 is 36.206
is there a perfect pentagon?
I just hate this in 1st Semester but you have to do for marks 🥲 and this video is helpful to understand easily 🔥
thank you so much, this video helps me 🤩
Very useful, thanx
Thank you very much ❤❤❤
Very good instruction. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you 😊💖
You're welcome, support my channel by suggesting it to your friends...
It is easy trick for pantagon thanks sir
While I got an 'A' in geometry back some 60 years ago, I have never been able to follow any of the proofs as to why an angle can't be trisected, or why you can't find cube roots with the traditional tools..
Finally I can draw a pentagram and invoke Satan
1) Make a line of undefined length.
2) Take the bloody ruler, and measure the length of the line drawn.
3) Take a Protractor, and take 5 times 108° inwards a line the length of the first line.
Done.
How's that for fast and easy?
If you have a protractor
@craigalchin9805
Or do it as I do, sir ... :
Take 5 darts, aim blindly, and hope for the best. :P
JK:
No, I begin with a pentagram, freehanded.
To me, this always works.
It would likely work for others as well?
Question though:
Doesn't "everyone" have a protractor, these days?
I have like 10 of them, heh.
Does this work
Is this helpful for CONSTRUCTING a Pentagon? 😊
Very confused as this did not work, not sure what is going wrong
1) Make a line of undefined length.
2) Take the bloody ruler, and measure the length of the line drawn.
3) Take a Protractor, and take 5 times 108° inwards a line the length of the first line.
Done.
Nais❤❤❤❤
Can you pls do a vedioon how to draw a perfect rectangle. Inside a circle
Thank you 🙏
Keep going on, we will try our best to keep you supported!
Gostei do método.
Muito obrigado.
Legend forever
Wonderful....
Thank you my Tuition work is completed
I am sixty five years, originally learned this in grade school.
Nowadays an average college student doesn't know what a "Pentagon" is
That’s literally just not true
Kon Zinda hai 2024 me
is this a regular pentagon?
Could u please tell me what platform u r using to draw these shapes??🙂
Thank you for your guidance 🖤
Thank you ❤
Why doesnt my last point to join meet at the same point ?
thanks man.
Which software are you using
thank you !!
Thank you !
This actually doesn’t create a regular pentagon, but something very close to it.
Exactly… but he fudged the video to make it appear to be a regular pentagon… it’s close though by only a percent or two
Except I got to the end and my pentagon didn’t fit on the page. Would be good to know where to start so that it’s centered, at the end.
How to use these item and where is they for use plz send me..

Close enough if you want à decent pentagon
😮😮😮
I like this video😃
I just Need to know the degree for making a digital pentagon
It's working
People will come out today but still not feeling 😂😂😂😅
Pppp

Using this method is strange. It seems to be producing uneven lengths of sides! I tried being as accurate as possible.
Excelemte video...
Thank you
Which app did you use to do this drawing? Please tell.
following
How tf did anyone even come up with that? Awesome. I love smart people.
What app is this?
why the hell did it take me three tries to draw this goddamn pentagon and it still does'nt even lign up exactly
1) Make a line of undefined length.
2) Take the bloody ruler, and measure the length of the line drawn.
3) Take a Protractor, and take 5 times 108° inwards a line the length of the first line.
Done.
Does anyone know how due north lines up with the pentagon building in DC
Which method is this????
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
thanks unc
This is too easy, I bet somewhere there is a geometry that taught it using HER way and will flunk you if you use this
I realized that I don't have a ruler so I use my eraser instead
This method is not %100 correct.
2/(1+√3) is not exactly tan(36°).
Tell my why I did everything in the video, then got a hexagon D:
This is patch 😢😢😢
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Geometrically close but not perfect
Who’s decided to make the sound effects this funny
69th comment
OH LA LA!!!
You a scammer i got bad grade
Fake 🤥 video
why do all your videos with a compas
This fake don't work 😥😥😥
But o tried it and it worked. It's about how long the pentagon should be
It works u missed a step
Thank you !
